  1. I've always chronically chewed inspirations since the very early days of the game. However, being able to combine any 3 into what I need and turn off some of the more useless insp that cluttered my tray (awakens, break frees on ATs with mez, etc) was a big buff to insp chugging. With the general increase in kill speed you get way more insps dropping than the old days and popping them leads to steamrolling which leads to more insps dropping and so on. And that's not even really dipping into loading up through /ah or emails. That's a whole other can of worms.
  2. What makes sentinels unique to me is that they have a lower cooldown on their nukes while still maintaining the secondary effects. Additionally some of their blast sets have a low damage mez power converted to a regular attack. This lends itself to some interesting debuff and control combos. Sonic blast is a good example that plays really differently. Screech is a high damage blast attack with a mag 3 stun that stacks with your nuke. You open Dreadful Wail>Screech doing good damage while stacking stuns and -res debuffs. Blackstar is another really strong sentinel nuke since anything that's left alive will have a massive tohit debuff. Really great to pair with resist sets and builds well below soft capping. I love the feeling of using your best attacks and debuffing/mezzing things as a bonus.
  3. I'd recommend psi secondary for something that is a bit more survivable in melee range on a dominator. A fully saturated drain psyche enhanced for healing can cap your regen. Psychic shockwave is also one of the best PBAoEs available to dominators since it has a higher target cap of 16 and a decent chance to mez. Mind probe is great DPA. And TK thrust is a decent 2nd melee attack if you slot it with KB to KD. Definitely doesn't hit as hard as earth.
  4. Yes, you can slot multiple and it works just like you think. It makes all the armor sets with a passive endurance power that much better since you can double up.
  5. All the old dogs in this thread screaming that we should nerf new tricks. It's ok to be outperformed in a single metric by people who min/max for it. Giving up set bonuses to increase the damage output of a power is a tradeoff that increase build diversity. Not something you are required to do.
  6. Sorry but I like using those things so that's off-limits. I only want to nerf the stuff I don't like using
  7. This is how I feel about people with puns in their names. Please generic them.
  8. You can disable the effects from super speed and then set your travel power animation to beast run under stances now. It's really fun combining the stances with path auras too.

    Caveat Emptor

It's not that high in game. Try it yourself. Probability to Proc = PPM * (MRT+ CastTime) / (60 * AreaMod) So 3.5(1.97+20)/(60(.25+.75(1+.15(20)))) solve and you get 39% chance
  10. Pzn

    Caveat Emptor

Even with no slotted recharge it's not that high of a proc chance. It's about 50% on 3.5ppm
  11. Pzn

    Caveat Emptor

It's not quite that high. There's that part of the PPM formula that accounts for AoEs and you get penalized for a larger radius. Mids does a good job of estimating how much damage they'll add on average.

    Caveat Emptor

I slot out psychic shockwave and mind probe with procs. Both can be loaded with them just like dominate. the PBAoEs in the epic pools definitely feel weak with just their regular damage.

    Caveat Emptor

that's the entire reason for me. The other sentinel epics are great, but I love the quick cast times in psi. It's also nice that psychic shockwave hits 16 since that's so rare for sents.

    Claws follow up

I put procs in everything and I agree with you. Follow up is a good place for them but the rest of the attacks don't see much improvement. Even if you load out follow up with procs and no slotted recharge it's still possible to keep it double stacked on a higher recharge build. It's definitely the best place for the critical strikes ATO proc. So if you fully proc out follow up that means splitting the ATO set or slotting it elsewhere. It's a tradeoff.
  15. Here is my elec/DB tank build that's heavily focused on proc damage. It should be plenty good for farming between sweeping strike, dark obliteration, and typhoons edge. Sweeping strike, typhoons edge, and dark obliteration all deal great AoE damage when slotted out with procs. This is one of those rare tanker builds that I went with musculature on because elec is so nice I didn't see much benefit from other alpha picks. For destiny I like to go with ageless radial for the debuff resistance. I find it more useful than barrier since you're already at or close to resist caps on so many types. And for a bit more damage I went with hybrid assault. If I was going to use the build strictly for farming I would drop some of the procs from the single target attacks and load up on a few more useful set bonuses. 16. When did they nerf moonbeam? It's been the same for me since homecoming has launched.
  17. Sorry but the nerfs need to specifically target a niche population (tanker players or proc builds for example). If they affected my favorite thing (soft capping defense) then I would not be happy. We should only nerf other people that call attention to my poor performance by out doing me.
  18. I really love it on tankers since it hits 10 and has an expanded cone size. Feels like a faster version of crowd control. It hits as hard as a good single target power and the extra aoe damage you pick up from it during your ST rotation is nice. The difference is subtle but I love playing both.
  19. Who is we? I think he is referring to the attack chain used in the video that was posted.

    Hot Feet

It's the massive size of it. Hot feet is more than 6 times the area of a normal damage aura but only twice the cost.
  21. The entire game was created to sell subscriptions. You've cracked the code.
  22. I believe this was fixed recently in the same patch that zapp's slow/fast critical damage was fixed. Either way it seems to regularly crit now after triggering critical strikes.

    AOE scrapper?

Great combo. It's like the classic spines/dark combo with supercharged damage. Spines/ninja is interesting too after the shinobi changes. Opening with tons of crits on throw spines is beautiful.
  24. Really annoying when this happens. I think it's just RNG. There's a pretty big variation in pylon times when criticals are involved. You are probably getting more criticals on the runs with hybrid off which evens them out. If you keep testing you should see some difference, especially with T4 core on a scrapper. When you finally hit that run with good crits and hybrid running your time should drop.
  25. I don't think sonic suffers nearly as bad as radiation and dark miasma. Your AoE -res can just be toggled on whoever is always running in first. And the resistance buffs are still pretty useful to layer on top of everyone being soft capped. At least half the set is useful at 50.
