  1. Hey @Sovera, I want to thank you for the build suggestion. Using yours as a template, I put a build of my own together. Not as tough as yours, Defense on mine only gets to mid/high-30s, but that's enough for my purposes. Again, I really appreciate the peek behind the curtain. Later on.
  2. Heh, the short answer is "As many as I can get!" 😄 As I mentioned in my OP, this is an adaptation of a character from my Live-era gameplay, and on live she got to 50 handily. Hell, I even use Hurl Boulder for my ranged attack instead of Laser Beam Eyes, because nothing says fun like pulling a big blue crystal out of the ground and flinging it at an enemy! In all seriousness, thanks for your help. Have a great day.
  3. I'm all ears. Or I guess eyes, this being a visual medium. 😄 Have you got links or should I just start burrowing through your post history? Thanks!
  4. Oooh, I have a few Tankers there now! I'll try to be there, how long do these usually run these days?
  5. I'll be honest, I'm at work and don't remember in enough detail to give a definitive answer. So take the following with the important caveat that it needs confirmation. My recollection is that Panacea's proc gives you some flat number of HP every time it procs, and as such t wouldn't matter which power it was placed in. (Someone feel free to jump in and correct me here!) 🙂
  6. It depends on what the IO is doing. If it's offering, for instance a flat bonus to your Regen rate, it doesn't matter which power it's placed in. If it's a matter of the IO enhancing the power's Regen rate, then out it in whichever power has the highest base value. Does this make sense?
  7. I have to assume Health was specifically named as that is a power tht everyone has. Hell, throw all those same (non-Unique) things into the Regen passives, too!
  8. I started tuning it up and at least got the slots into a shape that (hopefully) makes a lick of sense. I'm hoping this'll help give an idea of where I'm going and maybe spur some feedback. Thanks!
  9. I have a character concept that was in the rotation to develop, and now I'm thinking it'll be a Savage/Ice Stalker. Thanks for the pep talk. 🙂
  10. I'll add in that to get Villain Disruptor, the first two missions of Provost Marchand's arc "A New War" have quite a few villains in them. Set difficulty to -1/x1/no Bosses, tear those missions up a few times, and voila. Maybe not as easy as for Hero Slayer, but still. Later on, Generator
  11. Since when is the toggle in Energy Mastery +ACC? I remember it being +ToHit (however I'm currently 150 miles from my game PC).
  12. The phrase for it I had going through my head was "Electricity Modulation". Don't be prejudiced against non organic life-forms. 😉
  13. Thanks, that's a point I had meant to bring up also. We are all bright, cool people, I'd like to think we can come up with a better name here.
  14. Well I haven't played this set yet, I have to believe it's going to be based on proximity to that initial target, wouldn't you think?
  15. EDIT: at least got the build into shape for common IOs, next stop is Set Pieces. Also, pay no mind to the choice of Agility for Alpha sliding. That's left over the character in this Mids file was Shield Defense. Hey there, I figured it was time to just jump in and play a Bio Armor character, but I didn't have a build laid out for one. I just opened up an old Stone/Shield Brute's build from 2011 in Mids, unselected Shield Defense and selected Bio Armor for her instead. The result is a mess. I need to reallocate slots, and figure out how to enhance the powers. If someone could help me just set her up with a "common IOs/levelling" setup, that'd be awesome. I just need something that gets me started. Sets and purples and all that can come later. 16. OMG, we could've had more D-Mac? God, knowing that just turned my life to a cold void.
  17. @Cutter, I did the same thing, got a Scrapper well up into the 30s. Good times. Might have to look at a Tanker version. @Frosticus, besides the Winter IOs that grant Slow Resist, what else do you use to make that happen?
  18. Hey there, So I got a chance to pop this open in Mids, and it's great stuff, a nice boost while staying true to what I was doing. A few questions, in pursuit of fine-tuning: I don't think I need the full BOTZ set in Hover anymore (I wish I could ask 2011 me, "Dude, what were you going for here?"). I could probably strip out the Speed/End piece, and move that slot somewhere, right? (My first impulse is to put a Dmg IO into Freezing Touch.) As long as I'm in the Positron's Blast sets for the AOEs, should I use the proc? I didn't mean to imply that I'm against using procs at all times, but I'm not down with the build philosophy that says use six procs in your power. Shiver: will I get enough mileage out of this power to bother with it? Good call getting the slots out of Hibernate. If I need it more than every 90s, something has gone terribly wrong. 🙂 Again, thank you very much for the help here. I'm in a phase where I'm trying to recreate about a dozen characters at once and my feeble old brain is creaking under the strain. Later on, Generator
  19. And if they do that, groovy, Crimson's build will go back on the block and I'll work on it. But yeah, for now, I think of it as, "If the bad guys put me down through both Radiation Therapy and Particle Shielding, they earned it." 🙂
  20. While I will gladly concede that it's a strong attack, it's just become one of those things where I find the animation so annoying that I won't use it. It was slow going but now that this guy is 40 he's doing better. I haven't yet got an IO build for this guy that I'm happy with, but he's doing just fine with Common IOs and that grab bag of IOs that we all use anyway (y'know, Steadfast +Def, all the +Recov pieces for Health, and so on). When I have an IO build Im sufficiently happy with to request some help tuning it, I'll post it. 🙂 Thanks for the feedback!
  21. I don't have Mids handy, but wouldn't the Hold from /Atomic be a better comparable, being from a Secondary instead of an APP? Assuming so, how does that comparison fare?
  22. Dude, so grateful for the help. Thanks so much! I'll pop this open in Mids at first opportunity.
  23. Hey, Thanks so much for taking another look. I could certainly look at getting those two additional LOTGs in there. I think she had Chilling Embrace 1-slotted back on Live. I can't recall from where I stripped those three slots, but getting 4 in there seemed enough to at least get started. If you're willing to do a complete reshuffle, I'm listening! I tend to eschew the "Proc Monster" mindset (like, I know guys who would happily slot Suppressive Fire with an Acc and 5 procs, but that's not my style). I don't need her to be softcapped, and I don't need to be able to solo +4/x8s. With that in mind, I'll gladly take a look at how to improve her performance. (Looking at her, for instance, she's lacking both ATO sets, so I could clearly put those somewhere.) Thanks again for your time, have a great day.
  24. So I managed to find the build I was working toward when I did this back in the day. I think I'd like to keep the powers I'm using as they are, but slotting and sets are totally open to reinterpretation. Love to see any feedback on this!
