I found a build in game even stranger than my own
Bionic_Flea replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
Did someone summon POOL MAN? Two powers from primary, six from secondary, and SIXTEEN pool powers! My favorite thing was to fire off Whirlpool, Geyser, then Spring Jump while yelling CANNONBALL! If I timed it just right it looks like my jump caused the big splash from Geyser. It was surprisingly effective both solo and in teams. I made this on another server: -

Slotting and Strategies for Symphony Control
Bionic_Flea replied to oedipus_tex's topic in Dominator
Try this: -
Reverse the order: " /bind mbutton, "powexec_location camera:max Translocation$$powexec_location target Translocation""

Ukase isn't a bad guy, but he is quite the old curmudgeon.

How DARE you have any fun! You must grind. This is the way.

Best wishes to UberMom.

EXCUSE ME! My hyperbole is juvenile, NOT jovial; thank you very much.

I tend to go reactive or degen the most as you get additional damage AND some bonus damage in the form of -MaxHP or -res. As tidge says, Reactive's -res tends to be better for clearing crowds of scrubs and Degenerative is better for big sacks of HP like AVs and GMs. I have added Diamagnetic to dark blast characters and especially defenders and corrupters that also do some -regen so that I can stack both effects to help the team and myself. I like Spectral on controllers. It adds immobilization, which triggers extra containment damage, and negative damage, which isn't wildly resisted. It's not picked as often as the three above so that's beneficial for stacking a variety of effects, especially on Leagues. And I usually pair that with Control Core Hybrid, which grants an extra mag of control and bonus psi damage to controlled enemies. Preemptive I have used on characters that I want to be sappers. I tried Gravitic on a gravity controller just based on theme and it really did slow critters down to a crawl. I could also see using the radial branch on a /cold or /poison to stack on top of Benumb and Weaken. I have tried cognitive several times and am always disappointed. It rarely if ever confuses anything and the psi damage is less than other DoTs. If you use it to stay on a psi theme you are waaaaaay better off going with any other DoT as everything that resists psi resists it A LOT (like all robots and there are lots of bots at 50). I don't think I have ever used Paralytic. The only use I have for -defense is to slot an Achilles - res proc and Interface can't do that. Well, that and Paragon Protectors going godmode -- but you are better off killing them fast than hoping you got enough -def on them. I could, perhaps, see combining the -dam with the - dam in Void Judgment. But at level 50, especially on teams, I much prefer more damage to more survivability.

Def/res slotted scrapper vs DPS slotted tanker
Bionic_Flea replied to Dark Juggernaut's topic in Archetypes
I would generally say that tanker is safer and scrapper is faster, but there are builds out there that can do crazy things. I personally prefer tankers and voted accordingly. -
Funny how I blind myself. I never knew If I was sometimes played upon, afraid to lose I'd tell myself, what good you do Convince myself It's my life, don't you forget It's my life, it never ends

I really like cutscenes . . . the first time. The next few are still amusing. But after a certain point it becomes a little like this:

Here's my Symph/Dark build. The concept was to play mostly at range and to maximize the cones by adding +range. Works well solo and in teams for me.

I tend to not report copyright stuff as much as conduct stuff. And I used to do it a lot more on live than here. Not sure if there is less to report or I've gotten more tolerant, but you do you, Snarky.

Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #10: Alt-itis
Bionic_Flea replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
Personally, I almost never strip and almost never delete. I think since the game was live I deleted 2 characters -- one who's name got genericed (Osama been Hidin) and a dom I made on the first week of City of Villains that just never worked for me. Oh wait, there were a few dozen "fake fleas" that were created on other servers to pad SGs back when SGs got free prestige boost per member. Those were deleted eventually. -
Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #10: Alt-itis
Bionic_Flea replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
I have about 50 level 50s split between two accounts on HC and tons more on other servers, some 50 some level 1 and everything in between. I generally get an idea and then theorycraft it in Mids, then play it consistently until I get to level 50 and usually also get the passive accolades and +3 with incarnates before I start something new. The ones I really like get to T4 to all incarnates and all accolades. The ones I like the least still have incarnates to unlock and accolades to get. The idea could be anything: a name, powerset combos, making something perceived as weak powerful, trying out one of the new powersets or pools, anything. When I don't have any new ideas I tend to run through my characters to check their markets, move them to a new day job, maybe play it a bit to get an enhancement catalyst to store for the next project. -
True, but . . . You can't insta-sell 30 or so at ten unless those are the lowest outstanding bids. A couple of weeks ago the lowest outstanding bid was several thousand far beyond the last 5.
