My overall take on anything with Homecoming and NCSoft is the following; Homecoming team is showing NCSoft that Players will pay to maintain the game service They keep and show records of what it cost and then the overall income received and what time frame. So they can say we only need 4k but are getting 10k in. Thus a profit. They will not do anything to ruin the quality of the game even if the engine is outdated as it is. Thus no quick and dirty costume add ins. No mastermind customization unless it works extremely well. They will show that they can fix code that paid professional messed up with. Create new power sets that are valid and useful Create new IO sets that are valid and useful. Further I know Homecoming team is also talking to other servers teams as well. Helping them out where possible and exchanging ideas.. I think they are keeping track of player base as well. Real accounts played.. I believe that this might open the door for the HC Team to spear head a new COH for NCSoft.. I am pretty sure HC team has their own ideas on a new engine as well to update the game and gaming and gaming technology has come a long way since COH started. Currently there is no real Super Hero game out there.. The biggest competitor for COH at the time was Champions online and that fell apart. COH is rich with lore.. Many of the story lines and arch along with villains could be improved and expanded upon. Or just Redone since COH technically is no longer around. Costumes, Base options, Power set options like shooting an energy blast from a gun or shoulder cannon would be the Micro-transaction. Again I think this is just a whole big test. NCSoft says maintain a steady player base for 2 years or increase the player base for 2 years and we can talk. So this is why they are very tight on making sure they don't upset NCSoft. I get the legal ramifications. But I think its showing they can play ball and be team players.

I use Scorpion and Mu Mastery a lot based on the build requirements.

Looking for suggestions on soloing ITF with a unique build. I don't want to give away the primary set even if some can figure it out. You can assume Incarnate wise I am T4. But I wouldn't mind some suggestion on which T4 I should pick up based on the secondary listed. My assumptions are as follow on Incarnates Lore - Banished Pantheon Interface - Degenerative lower AV hit points by 4k Judgement- Guessing Pyro ( stun or increased dot ). Hybrid - ? Alpha - Depending on the build I might not have no choice but to do Cardiac. I am also asking for what unique tips others can pass along. Here the ones I know of. 1. Envenom Dagger for the AV fights. 2. On the Cyst Map - Lower the HP of Each Cyst WITHOUT Destroying them AND THEN one shot each in a predetermined path to successfully complete the mission as not to deal with the ambush. I know some have mentioned certain tips on dividing the Nictus from Romulus. No clue how that happens or how to do it. Secondary Set wise I have access to the following. Kinetics - I am thinking this is the best build stat wise ATM since it has heals and debuffs added in. Transfusion 6 slotted Trick Arrow - Has a mix of stuff to use. Oil Slick is a decent AOE power. Along with a couple of holds. No heals Traps - Poison Trap is the AV killer, But FFG being destroyed by an AOE is close to quick death. I would have be really careful with FFG placement. Double Triage Beacon Storm - Storm will have Hurricane running so I will be at defense cap Melee and AOE wise. Double Lightening Storm. Has Aid Self. These are the stats for each set

New to the game and rolled MM, what do I need to know?
plainguy replied to XDannyManX's topic in Mastermind
The keybinds in the sticky on top is a must.. Basically your number keypad controls your pets.. Personally I use it as all pets attack but once you have selected all pets you just need to use the attack buttons.. It frees up slots on the tray and much easier once you get the feel for it.. -
Even with Cardiac this is bad endurance wise.. Rule of thumb is EndRec should be 2 points higher then EndUse.. So it should be at least 3.39.. Even with Cardiac you are not there.. Need to look at rework.

Title says it all.. Painbringer work on pets ?

Need more of these threads.. Very funny stuff.

Traps anything as that will get you near defense cap early with FFG slotted.. I would say Fire Traps 4 Aoe/cone from fire and trip mine from traps.. Plus poison traps with lockdown proc keeps everything stuck. Add in Oppressive gloom and you have a bunch of stuff locked down in aoe range Time well for the heals and it is good for a being able to move around.. But Traps will give you more dps where Time will give you more heals for sure..

Blaster Primary Comparison: Standard Environment Testing
plainguy replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in Blaster
Outstanding Job. Everything was easy to understand. I cannot commend you enough on this work. You at a minimum deserve some sort of special title either here or in game or both.. -
Mastermind are rough if you are not using the keypad to control the pets. Also you are not mentioning what your build is.. What primary and secondary are.. ETC. Elaborate a bit more. What Primary and Secondary are you looking at. Again enough builds on the forums to help you out. 8/3 is my max setting as well for speed and comfort. 8/4 just seems to slow down a bit too much.

builds archetype forum suggestion
plainguy replied to twospirited's topic in Website Suggestions & Feedback
But we would need to have others care enough to post proper tags. It would be cool though, because there are enough good builds out there that get lost in the mix.. I know when this just started up there was a nice AR Device thread where we posted around 20 different builds.. Was a nice place to get different ideas and elements.- 9 replies

This started all from a Suggestion I posted looking for a Gun Swords Primary set. The Sentinel DP/SR version with Ninja tool Master is way way better.. Handled 3/8 out of the box has much more Status protection and resistance. I cannot express how much the Sentinel build is better.. It is doing 4/8 setting. This needed Agility ( at first Tier only ) to help it out. Endurance was bit of a killer.. It does boast positional defense cap. I went with Experimentation Pool for the additional AOE and the occasional buff from Adrenal Boost. I am sure you can get rid of Experimentation Pool and still get the same affects, maybe even better. But its a fun build between the gun and swords.. Influence sink - Recharge inspiration
plainguy replied to plainguy's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I think having the lowest at 20% for 5k is a decent price.. Just about every toon has recharge via IO set bonuses and/or Hasten as well. Meaning that is obtainable by a non farming player at level 50. Maybe make a 10% Inspiration that drops. Maybe stack-able ? So it would be something else a non farming player could create to make some money on AH ? As I have the ability to farm I am honestly out of the loop. Might need some non farming players to chime in on some reality. -
I agree with roleki, Storm is Endurance heavy. But fun set at 50.. I can see Gravity helping out with all the holds.. But I have seen held mobs move back as well. I don't know that is a bug or working as intended. Seen that with Stone cages at least. If you can put a knock back to Knock down IO in Tornado. Hurricane can take one but all it does is knocks down the mob and then repels them back, but hurricane is good during AV fights.. Hurricane is great because it gives you a lot of defenses via -To Hit debuff.. So you can get defense capped with it running.
-
I didn't look at the procs.. I was just looking at the defense and status info. Cutter has better numbers than I do. Thus I think he is short changing himself some extra xp and inf on not going to 3/8
-
Just comparing the numbers to my Sentinel DP/SR Build and numerically we are almost the same.. That being said I am doing 3/8 out of the box without incarnates on my build.. Posted here for comparison

This build is good. My only stupid gripe is I would try to rework the build to get Explosive Arrow with a KB to KD proc. But 13 second recharge on Rain of Arrows is nothing to complain about.. Explosive Arrow ISN'T going to make or break the build honestly.. Just a personal choice on my end.. -
Blaster DP Ninja Training full type defense minus Psi - It seems as if the standard sword types are fixed NOT to have invisible weapons when switching between DP and sword attacks. Blaster DP Fire Manipulation - Again almost full typed defense cap minus negative and Psi. Blaster DP Device - Range /Smash/lethal defense cap - double gun drone due to high recharge. Burnout allows 2 gun drones and back to back Hail of bullets.. Issue Gun drone has huge AOE aggro which makes it last only a few seconds in melee range.. Hopefully this will be fixed.. Blaster Martial combat - smash, lethal, range, energy, negative defense cap. Ki Push followed up by a gun shot is just fun to look at..
