SpookTheHerd Posted March 13 Posted March 13 If you could see one of your characters integrated into the game somehow, how would you like them to be represented? AE arcs are a good outlet for some of this daydreaming, but how else might you see your characters worked into the world? (obviously I'm opening up this discussion because I have my answer) If I had my way, my character King Cabbage would assault King's Row in a zone event akin to a Rikti Invasion. First heroes would destroy his harvest pods, and then his Vegetates would emerge--these would be a mixture of generic vegetable brained drones and discolored copies of the players heroes in the zone (like at the end of Posi 1 just not in full shadow). Then of course King Cabbage himself would stomp around angrily and yell about how he has come to reclaim his Row. Eventually a more serene version of King Cabbage would lead a I-trial/expedition into Praetoria to attemp to eject Hamidon from that world. He would take root into that planet to sew his seeds of rejuvenation, as the player characters buy him time. He would appear to perish and the players would make a narrow escape knowing they had actually set the stage for Hamidon's eventual defeat. Bonus NPC: My character Dawn'sEarlyLight is very sore that they passed over her for Fusionette as the hero trainer in Kallisti Wharf. Especially as I once had the impression that KW was built as a haven for Praetorian refugees and a symbol of unity between worlds. Fusionette was a disappointing choice, regardless of whether or not my own ego was factored in. 2 I drawed things: Gallery of my CoH Pantheon
Greycat Posted March 13 Posted March 13 You ask like I only have one. 😄 Most of mine probably would just be "yet another hero/villain/person," honestly. I have very few who'd have some specific role, and that probably as some sort of contact. Deadly Diana dealing with stuff related to the Family (helping them, pointing you at rivals, fixing "problems" that would be messy to deal with internally.) Sandra Thompson / Narcissea working with her on redemption and recovering old artifacts (... that she probably stole back in the day) - basically "no, it really does belong in a museum. Or back in the tomb I took it from." Sweet Child of Mimes would probably just be walking against the wind or stuck in an invisible box out on a street somewhere. 2 Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? cranebump Posted March 13 Posted March 13 My main is the KR Devil. Vigilante. Guns and arrows. I could see him popping up in Tips mishes as an ally or an enemy. 1 I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump. For more information on my stories, head to the AE forum sub-heading and look for “Crane’s World.” Support your AE authors! We ARE the new content.

Snarky Posted March 14 Posted March 14 (edited) As a contact. Giving a Level 35-50 co-op Strike Force from Striga. (Everyone should fight this menace!) That attacks the Council for their stupid vampyre fake vampire machines. Because the Council is starting to make people fear vampires again…. Which ruins centuries of work from real vampires making them fake and even lovable! Edited March 14 by Snarky 1 1 1
Marshal_General Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Considering I have Altitist, my character would have no idea who he wants to be when he grows up, but has already grown up. 1
Oubliette_Red Posted March 14 Posted March 14 And here I thought you meant in the 'real' world. Because I was going to put forward my Illusionist/Dark Controller, who goes around being the voice in the back of people's minds, pushing the more extreme thoughts to the forefront and working against moderation, to push others into taking actions that escalate situations to the point of mass violence and sometimes leading to destruction of civilizations and sometimes even worlds. Wait.. perhaps she's already out there doing that now... <.< >.> 2 Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx? Go0gleplex Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Major Holocaust would likely be one of those kaiju type 'flatten everything in sight' raids against any Longbow or Vanguard facilities given his twisted brain and thirst for seeing the world burn.
High_Beam Posted March 15 Posted March 15 The one thing I hated about this town was all the damn vampires. Girls of Nukem High - Excelsior - Tempus Fabulous, Flattery, Jennifer Chilly, Betty Beatdown, Totally Cali, Two Gun Trixie Babes of War - Excelsior - High Beam (Yay), Di Di Guns, Runeslinger, Munitions Mistress, Tideway, Hard Melody, Blue Aria Many alts and lots of fun. Thank you Name Release For letting me get my OG main back!
Vic Raiden Posted March 15 Posted March 15 So, for the four characters I have under my belt: - Deka as either a Paragon Hero boss or a Midnighter one. Might even be a Magic-origin contact. - Stahleon would definitely be an AV of his own enemy group, which could stage random raids on other zones. Might also be a Strike Force contact accepting exclusively characters of Science and Technology origins. - Victor could start as another Paragon Hero before becoming a unique Vanguard boss/EB/contact. - Operative Mesten is just a VEAT, so I don't see him as much more than a regular Arachnos Huntsman boss.
nihilii Posted March 15 Posted March 15 My characters are Mary Sues, they'd be Statesman level of insufferable as NPCs. A dev would end up writing a story arc to kill me by the time we hit I27p8. 1
FFFF Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Oh mine are incompetent. They'd honestly be hostages that you would save from the CoT or Banished Pantheon and have to walk back to the entrance on a huge map. Most of them fly but for some strange reason they'll be stuck on the tiniest ledge so you'd have to backtrack often. They'd also aggro everything along the way so be prepared to fight off each and every ambush. 1

Scarlet Shocker Posted March 15 Posted March 15 Where to start...? Scarlet Shocker - In my personal head-canon, Scarlet and Ms Liberty are good friends, even to the point of occasionally socialising together around Pocket D and sometimes going out "incognito" together. She believes in the need for Longbow, understands that Paragon is under pressure from many different opposing forces and has dedicated her SG to supporting HeroCorps and Longbow in any way that she can. In fact many of her SG mates have fallen by the wayside and she believes that the city cannot survive against its many assailants but she refuses to give up. Barbed Quarrel was personally commanded to form the Praetorian Imperial Secret Service (we never use the acronym for obvious reasons) by Emperor Cole, to continue his mission. She does this despite his death and is fanatically devoted to his mission. She is now based in Paragon and is gathering strength and intel in order to strike back at Primal Earth and allow Praetorian Earth a chance to reclaim its former glory. She is sometimes very conflicted when she has to go up against other Praetorian forces, given her devotion to the cause but it is imperative the Primals' do not learn of her goal until it is too late and so must keep up appearances. There's a fine line between a numerator and a denominator but only a fraction of people understand that.

My toon Enchantica I would want to be kneeling next to stateman when he dies and have her whisper "Please tell my papa I miss him" 2. My toon Tundra Mouse I would want to be kneeling next to Statesman when he dies and have her whisper "I am not short. You big jerk!" 3.My Toon Kat Bat I would want to not be seen checking Statemans pockets for money!
Seed22 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 I have so many toons centered around one main toon's overarching story, so for the most part, these toons would be aids in tips or random enemies of various alignment that you would encounter as a rogue's gallery. The main toon in question, Shade of Oshun, would probably be firstly an ally you encounter in a lvl 30 arc of some sort blueside, then as a contact themselves at 50 for some magic themed missions that they'd need help with. 1 1 Aspiring show writer through AE arcs and then eventually a script 😛 AE Arcs: Odd Stories-Arc ID: 57289| An anthology series focusing on some of your crazier stories that you'd save for either a drunken night at Pocket D or a mindwipe from your personal psychic.|The Pariahs: Magus Gray-Arc ID: 58682| Magus Gray enlists your help in getting to the bottom of who was behind the murder of the Winter Court.|

Crysis Posted March 17 Posted March 17 (edited) I always thought a zone where the AV’s powers have gone berserk existed. Like a Volcanic zone where there’s patches of Hot Feet, Rain of Fire, etc mixed in with Lightning Storms, Fire-nados and constant Sleet and Freezing Rain storms falling intermittently. The hero’s would have to carefully choose the correct ever-changing paths to the AV/GM in the middle and “free them” to stop the violent powers in the zone and win the TF. In effect you’d be fighting both the denizens of the zone as well as all the powers unleashed at the same time and it would be timed that if you failed that entire zone would be destroyed (until a timed respawn obviously). That out of control supervillain in the middle? That would be me. That’s how I’d fit in the world. Powerful but highly unstable and losing control of my powers as I lost my mind. Coyotedancer Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Some of my magi would be contacts in and around the temple ruins in Primeva on the villain-side... Their missions would probably involve getting artifacts and books back from various heroes, the MIdnighters and the Arachnos goons who've been shamelessly looting them. The Head Librarian has been making a stink about losing bits of his collection for years. They could be introduced by Maros. Kai would have to be a Midnighter contact in Founder's Falls. Her missions would involve Old Magic, the university History department and a few misdirected boxes of mail-order Wailers. 1 Taker of screenshots. Player of creepy Oranbegans and Rularuu bird-things. Random Axis Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I have a ton of alts, so this is just a selection. Shiny Metal Arsenal, Blue Dauber: contact or "mission helper" to go after Arachnos Guiding Blade: contact for an arc of missions against the Lost themed as rescuing them. Woods Warden, Briar Storm: contacts in Eden to fight Devouring Earth. Possibly also northern Talos or Peregrine to clear out the islands in the north part of each Chunky Cherub: Valentine's Day missions. Steam Punker: Main contact in my reimagined Synapse part one TF that takes place in Boomtown. Shoots and LADDERS: Vanguard contact in RWZ 1
starro Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I want to finally be able to go inside the donut shop in faultine and have a hero enjoying a beverage. He would have a blurb when you click on him. 1 "She who lives by the cybernetic monstrosity powered by living coral, all too often dies by the cybernetic monstrosity powered by living coral." -Doc Buzzsaw Pineapple 🍍 Pizza 🍕 is my thumbs up.

Very much this - I can see my main (archery/ice/fire Blaster) as a full mission ally (Hero, most Vig, some Rogue) / mid-mission ambush (Villain, most Rogue, some Vig) that is randomly (and rarely) encountered in tip missions (EB rank, basically Silent Blade's heroic rival). For bonus fun, leave her rezzes alone - I can't think of any allied NPCs that rez themselves or players, and the enemy version of her could be made extra annoying/terrifying by not leaving after defeat, so you'd encounter her every few minutes as Rise of the Phoenix recharges. (And yes, the multi-rezzing version would stalk and re-ambush after rezzing. She's very persistant, and while she'll graciously accept a few defeats/setbacks, don't expect her to stay down.) I could also see her hunting in PI, DA, the Shard or Croatoa, depending on the day. Maybe approachable/hireable, so she'd show up in your next mission? (Edit: Just don't hire her for a Villain mission - she's not above repaying betrayal) Edited March 20 by Akisan
