So often I see players running across the map to train when they don't have to. I've been training at the mission or wherever I am for years. The first thing I did was to make sure there was a training NPC, vendor and nurse in my SG.  Then I get the Long Range TP Accolade (there's a YouTube video showing how to get it). I get it at level 1 or 2 on every alt. Then when I need to train, I first go to the mission. Then click on the Long Range TP button, then select supergroup base. When I get there I train, buy enhancements and inspirations.  Then run out the exit and I'm at the mission ready to go!

Wait till someone links a youtube video about the /ah slash command.

And the Mission Teleporter/Team Transporter. And Assemble the Team. And the Ouroboros Portal.
Oh
Rularuu, the possibilities...

We're not exactly still stuck with 2004-era travel options.

Yeah. I still see players running from even Peregrine Island saying they have to go train and then they run off to Ms. Liberty in Atlas to train!

Sad to say, but seriously.

The two players that I game with the most and I go outside after completing a mission where one or more of us level and we summon a base portal to train.

Most of the time with the one from the START vendor, but it really doesn't take that much time and patrol xp to get one from the day job for logging out near a sg portal.

The fast travel power takes a long time to recharge.

But that won't drop me off at the next mission?!

No. It won't. Generally, since we are all in the sg base, the teammate that has the star selects a mission and one of us uses TT to get us all there at once.

If someone posts a reply quoting me and I don't reply, they may be on ignore.

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications)

Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case.

But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable.

Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

I recall a player, level 37 dinged 38 in a Yin. They proceed to leave the mission before it's even done because they really want their epic armor. I suggested they could wait because they won't be able to use it until the TF is over. My mistake. They quit at that moment.

People like this are why my squirt gun has no more water in it, and I can no longer effectively lead teams. I mean, I can still lead them. Just not effectively. I mean, how can I do that with an empty squirt gun?

I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump. For more information on my stories, head to the AE forum sub-heading and look for “Crane’s World.” Support your AE authors! We ARE the new content.

And don't forget the mission transporter. "Oh you want me to go from Steel Canyon to the depths of the Shadow Shards? Well I could go to PI. through the portal, buy a jet pack, fly slowly to the next portal, fly slowly to the mission, or I could just click this button".

Far side of Night Ward, to Atlas, using only the walk power (uphill both ways, naturally). THAT is how real heroes train up after a mission.

Originally Pinnacle Server, then Indomitable and now Excelsior

Not enough people know about the LFG-port, a feature that's literally been in the game since live. Just pay Penny or Manti a visit if you need to train, or any contact kind enough to stand next to a trainer.

Cimerora not on the train? Ouro no go to Croatoa? Not a problem.

Remember, LFG stands for Let's F***ing Go.

I still meet new folks every week.  If they are having trouble with quick travel and we are impatient that means we are not being good stewards of the game.  The things we take for granted are still creating awe for them

Back in my day we hovered across the Hollows to get back to the trainer in Atlas Park. And we liked it!

I love LFG porting, but it's really only useful solo.

Back on live, my SG on Freedom would run together, no powers allowed, through as many zones as possible without using the tram to get all the way back to Ms. Liberty when one of us dinged 50.  It amused us, anyway.  I recall dragging everyone through the Hollows on my 50 run.  😄  Not to be confused with a Lemming Run, of course.

Wait, what were we talking about?

That sounds like a fun tradition for your SG.  Add in some alcohol or weed and you have a full on hootenanny!
