Again. Epic = story based. Yes, I know you want to ignore this. It makes zero difference. Wow, you really do not get it, do you. This is *the world reacting to you.* Quantum gunners appearing in other storylines was even explained IN the Kheld storylines - the Council selling guns to counter you to other groups. So, no, "the whole story line bit" does not go "out the window." Instead, it explains the very reason they show up.

Which are tied to the story. There's actually character classes that have the world react *specifically to their existence.* Not with a generic ambush or name-replace-placeholder in dialog. Also, as previously noted, given how heavily nerfed their enemies are, you're hardly "f@#kd." Maybe if you AFK for half an hour in front of one. Don't even need a "build" for that. They're pretty much nothing but extra XP at this point, threat wise.

Yeah. That used to be *really* frustrating back in the day... had things like a mid-teens villain get a newspaper mission, issue changed, broke the mission and I walked in to something like level 45-50 storm elementals.

She doesn't look humble at *all.* :)

... did you only see "Add personal item?" There are permissions which allow or disallow base editing per rank. By default I think they only allow the top or top two ranks to edit. If you weren't the leader (or they were edited,) you wouldn't have seen it. (Even if it's an alt-holding SG, versus a group of players - one character will get the "big red star," comra... ,er ... big red star, the others will have whatever other rank.) If your one character was the only one in it (say, an apartment/house type base,) don't know what to tell you. Still, happy base building!

Yomo's Terrific Training-O Tournament!
Greycat replied to Yomo Kimyata's topic in General Discussion
They merged them when Going Rogue was in beta, since they were going to end up with *three* currencies that did the exact same thing, and trying to figure out a conversion for the exact same thing was getting ridiculous - as was trying to deal with the markets. I mean, it was a headache *reading* about it while that was going on. (Also, yay, got 10m on a level 12 alt earlier today that it really needed. Thanks Yomo.) -
New Here wondering if CoV is back up as well
Greycat replied to gajones4221's topic in General Discussion
No, no, don't you recall? It was an "expansalone." ;) (I'm so glad they never used that term again...) -
(To which can be added, in some cases, we're missing tools, and/or some NPC pieces "do weird things" on characters.) And yes, I *do* feel the need to reiterate that. The team here looks through suggestions. They don't necessarily (and shouldn't be expected to) give feedback on anything there, and *certainly* aren't going to make promises that might not work out. If a dev likes it, can do it, and thinks it's worth their time - since they're the only ones making that determination, not anyone here, no matter how many forumites might say "it's not worth their time," - then, well, you'll see it added in a patch note. But don't take *lack* of feedback from the team as being unheard or "unworthy of time."

Well, devs, my favorite TF is no longer fun to solo.

Honestly I don't think the game could handle even trying this, potential brokenness aside. (I *want* to say they tried some experiment with slots on a live beta and things went... more than sideways, but that could be faulty memory on my part.)
-
There's not a lot of room in cim, and there's not really reason to force a confrontation between the two there.
-
... which, frankly, I think was a bad idea. Having those beacons didn't hurt anything, and railroads or invalidates plenty of base and SG concepts. I don't agree to having the Ouro portal have Cim because that *is* listed in lore as being the midnighters working around (and against) Ouroboros and Silos. But other than that...

What Is Your Travel Power Do You Shoehorn In?
Greycat replied to Erratic1's topic in General Discussion
Athletic run. Or buy a jetpack. Or just realize you don't typically see "go go public transport" in movies/comics and take whatever travel power you want as "what happens between panels to shorten the boring parts." -

See, half the OP's list, to me, is fine as just "an item." It's completely about *how* the player plays it. Some of the rest is just cringy, yes. No, you do not get to know every thought my character has. Emotion, to a point, I can deal with - there are social and chemical components to it, after all, and I can even deal with "unless you're actively working to hide it, there's a surface-skimming psychic component - me not picking it up is like you shouting two feet away and telling me I can't hear it." You *certainly* don't just get to dictate it or insert yourself into my life or hijack bits of it. Even little things like a costume can have much more meaning than a set of clothes. "Knows every spell and can get out of every trap" is just ... boring, and while I'd find playing with that person likely dull, I'd probably feel sorry for them after a while, too. Heck, some sound bad at first, but could have some really good hooks. "Utter immortality?" Why? Did you make a deal with something when you were younger that sounded good at the time and now you've seen your family and friends die many times over? How is this affecting your "humanity" or morality? You're immune to everything? Are you a villain because that's what your ever-increasing thrill seeking is labeled? SO, yeah... and the OP touches on this a bit, but I'd say a good bit of that list isn't flat out bad because "it's that way," but because of how the player uses it.
-
Yeah, that was some time ago on live.
-
.... put it in your bio then? I've got 100+ alts. If I'm not on my CU alt (because yes, I am in there,) why would someone want to complain to CU about me? I'm not representing them if I'm on another character. If I want them associated with CU, I'll toss alts into one of the secondary SGs. Honestly, the more it's described, the more limited in scope it sounds like it's getting.

Just ran around RWZ trying to find a specific configuration. Level 32 PB, trying to find a level 35 comm officer. Comm officer cons purple. Poked with a blast, let him summon - his (l35 minion) summons also con purple instead of red. So, yeah, that's probably what you're seeing.

I'm not exactly sure how a title would help with this. If you're curious who's in an SG, you can always click on them and see it. Not everyone's going to use some custom title - and certainly everyone won't want one forced on them. And that title won't affect alts - I *certainly* wouldn't put the same title on all 100+ alts I have, and if this were implemented (or I were told "As a member of this group/coalition, you must use X title," which, given they change by origin, couldn't happen anyway,) I'd leave the SG with a one-finger explanation. If there are certain people you like playing with, use the player notes feature, then give them 3-5 stars so you can see who they are. You can add a note of your own, or right click and pick "edit note" and you'll see the other alts they're on.
