  1. Stalker's /Energy Aura secondary has a power called Disrupt. It works just like /Dark Armor's Oppresive Gloom giving +2 mag stun aura toggle in melee range, except instead of burning Hitpoints for each enemy it hits, it burns Endurance for each enemy hit. When paired with a 100% chance to stun power (such as Total Focus) you can perma-stun bosses in 1 hit. In fact, by adding a little duration boost to TF I use this combo to perm-stun 54 AVs when they're outside their "purple triangles of doom" cycle. I really think it's important to look for those 100% chance to stun powers. Many powers say they disorient, but it's at 33%. That's not quite the same as knowing you're taking that boss out of the fight from the first hit.
  2. I'm a maxed out incarnate with 200+ vet levels carrying a team of mostly low levels through content that is challenging to them but quite easy for me. The rewards are sufficient. Plus I've run higher difficulty content and done the math. Obtaining greater rewards is far too much pain for too little gain. Thus, I'm in a pretty optimal spot where I'm at and I'm planning to stay here for a while. Additionally, to stave off boredom, I've started working on my Netflix consumption badge and my Ukulele songs learned badge. (Also, fantastic thread. I love all the responses)
  3. I naturally start stepping back just a 1/2 step or so inbetween being rooted in activation... badguys tend to follow you, and things behind you end up moving around in front of you, so they end up in the cone, or closer to it. I may also step sideways a bit, or not depending on the situation. But I don't waste time lining things up. Any adjustment is secondary to keeping damage output going.
  4. I generally just plow through without stealthing. But if I find I'm up against something with hard counters to my build, I might stealth to the end and pop inspirations for the last spawn.
  5. I think a toon with the power to efficiently enter a quickly filling zone is the most important thing. And you might as well take flight.
  6. Holy smokes dude... I'm fully invested... Does Luminara's advice save this poor man's lost memories? This is some real life Superhero stuff here.... you gotta come back and tell us if this worked.
  7. Too many words. Someone should turn this into a map.
  8. In addition to Bio, Rad and regen also get +recovery at level 4. Willpower gets it at level 20. Electric, fire, and energy get some endurance assistance in the form of drains or discounting powers later on.
  9. I posted a short time ago (days? weeks? I can't tell anymore) about how as an experiment I started playing one my my toons without the mini-map. Even in missions so I have to remember where I am. He also only has infiltration as a movement power and no P2W teleports. I don't play in first person, but the experience was fun. There was an immediately noticeable increase in my immersion. It makes me feel more "in" the game rather then just watching it. I highly recommend it. I don't think I'd ever play 1st person, though. I like to see my costumes.
  10. Let's be honest, I've never met a tortilla that I didn't like. (this is actually true of most carbs)
  11. I voted for 50+ because I like me some endgame. But I do play the toon I locked at level 20 a ton.
  12. I have no direct knowledge to the answer to this question, so all I can do is guess. But here's my guess. It's because this is a hobby. They're doing this for fun. In fact they did it for 7 years privately in some distant corner of the internet with just themselves playing. I'm guessing the biggest reason there's no marketing is because it doesn't sound like it would be much fun.
  13. Holy crap... did I miss an attack chain? I honestly never really seriously look at cycling 3 powers anymore... *looks forward to another day of spreadsheets and mid's* ...this game never stops giving, does it?
  14. Ninja Training (Blaster Secondary) choking powder is an excellent power with procs because it can hold the ranged damage proc and hold procs. If you're looking to proc-out a range damage power, you only have Gladiator's Javelin as an option for a damage proc other then the Apocalypse unique proc for powers that have no secondary effects. Defense reducing powers can also get to 3 procs. Not so much individual powers, but I find some sets have attack chains that proc out really well. Martial Arts, Energy Melee, and War Mace, for example have some solid chains that can be run with low recharge levels. Whereas the benefit to adding procs to Claws is relatively smaller.
  15. I'm in the camp with those saying they're here for the game engine, not for the genre. If someone took CoX's game engine and dropped it into a pure fantasy setting, or a pure Sci-fi setting, I'd absolutely go play that game. If they want to give us some animation upgrades, costume options and weapon skins to go with it, even better. If you make a steady progression of content that takes 3+ months to work through while and still let me make progress playing in 30 minute blocks, you could keep me happy for a very long time.
  16. I haven't read any posts in this thread, but it seemed like I should post something here. SO.... Um... the OP was right about the first few thing, but that last thing is pretty messed up.
  17. A macro would replace the power in the power tray so you won't see the cooldown of the power. If you do that as a bind, then you can still have that power in the tray and you'll get the visual queues of it's cooldown happening. I believe this would be the syntax needed /bind 1 powexecunqueue$$powexec_tray 1 1 /bind 2 powexecunqueue$$powexec_tray 2 1 etc...
  18. Long story first... Looking for a way to make the game fresh, I recently started making toons with some self imposed restrictions. I've always been a min-maxer, so I don't like arbitrary build restrictions. Instead I'm talking about other restrictions such a no travel powers, no P2W teleports, etc. Not for all toons, but some toons have many restrictions (usually played solo to avoid delaying a team). Just recently I added 1 more restriction for my a personal favorite, my level-locked level 20 toon. I stopped using my mini-map. It turned out to be a cool thing to do. It's especially fun since I'm red side and still occasionally get a mission map I don't recognize. It has added an immersive element to the game because I actually have to mentally keep track of where I am at and learn the layout of each building I enter. Cave maps are even more frustrating then before (in a good way) because you can easily get turned around and get lost. When traveling around open zones, I have started to look for landmarks and think about what route gets me up a wall or around an obstacle. On blue side, there's train rails I can follow which lead to train stations that I actually use because I'm not using teleports. It was a fun experiment. I recommend trying it. I'm absolutely going to keep doing it on this toon and possibly others.
  19. The most effective way to attract new players is with videos on social media and live streaming. Releasing the restrictions there was step 1. Now you need to actively work with streamers to give them tools and benefits to help them promote your game. Not saying Homecoming needs to do that, but that's the next step in the process. Since Homecoming isn't a money making enterprise, it's not really worth spending resources (money) for recruiting. In that respect there's limits on what's practical here. But I do think, at a minimum they should create a forum dedicated to streaming and content creators so their ideas can be captured and considered. Actively recruiting and partnering with content creators is something most successful games now have in their business model.
  20. You people who skip straight to level 50... do you realize you're depriving yourself of the joy from building a really great level 22 build?
  21. Could someone post a good FF/Electric defender build? (of course we all know there is no such thing)
  22. Shield Charge is a huge bonus for Shield. With Shield so easy to soft cap on a Tanker, I don't see much value in choosing SR over Shield. Maybe it's better against incarnate enemies, but /MA covers that gap with the added source of +defense. I'd go with Shield/MA on a tank. On other ATs, I think it's more balanced.
  23. I have Tarantula Queen as my first target when fighting Arachnos because I know they are dangerous to most of my toons. I thought they had that oddball psy damage untyped attack. Perhaps it has been this instead.
  24. I always thought the badge names for rejecting inspirations and completing oro arcs without using them were hilarious.... some might call them inspired.
