  1. My main is a Radiation/Titan Weapon Tanker, and I keep an eye (well, an ear) out for that weird sound Whirling Smash makes because I too don't see many other Titan Weapon users out there. I know that several of the folks I team with pretty regularly have made Titan Weapon characters, and while they may make it to 50, it seems that they go on the shelf. I will say that Momentum makes lower levels clanky-janky, but once you have all of your slots, and are stuffed to the gills with crafted IOs, you can really smash through a lot of enemies. I'm interested to see what the "rework" for Titan Weapon turns out to be, and hope that the reduction in damage is paired with either a less restrictive momentum window or some other QoL improvement. One thing that I'm confident won't get nerfed is the taunt animation, which, in my opinion, is the best one in the game.
  2. THANK GOODNESS! The Post-Mothership Raid parades have been such a pain with the current accuracy issues. Thank you Dev team! 🙂 (seriously though, thank you for all your hard work!)
  3. *puts on the D&D wish-writing hat* The one thing that I'd radically overhaul is "The Back End Spaghetti Code That Makes Improvements Difficult And/ Or Impossible". The end result of the overhaul would be a clean, scalable, modular code that the Devs could easily work with (Whatever that really means).
  4. This was fun! I agree that the what zone is this? section was the best!

    Berzerkers

Heh. In the group of players that I often team with, this is called "Jersey Stealth". You just run ahead to the end. The aggro cap means that when you arrive at the end room, all you need to do is clear the things still on you, and then you can click or assemble the team, no problem. The thing is that with Stalkers, stacked stealth, and invisibility often a lot of the team arrives with you. Of course, this really only works because we have team communication and everyone knows what to expect.

    Berzerkers

I am sorry you've had the run of bad experiences that have lead you to make this post. The best remedy for this is to make a Tanker, and be an example of the kind of gameplay you want to see. Ouch. You'll catch more flies with honey. Good luck man.
  7. Just a nitpick, but isn't Apocalypse a Ranged Damage set, and Bombardment a Targeted AoE Damage set?
  8. One of my favorite things in CO gameplay-wise were the lunge melee attacks and the "jump away backflip" attack in dual pistols (the actual name eludes me, and I'm too lazy to look it up). I had a Pistols N' Melee character that constantly bounced in and out of melee range like a very hyper hyperactive thing, and that was tons of fun. I actually liked Lemuria, and would spend time in the middle-depth kelp forest smacking fish and looking at the lighting effects. I also liked "Totally-Not-New-Orleans". But yes, after playing through the content (and the content gaps all around that volcano) I was so freaking tired of Anchorman. I had had really high hopes that CO was going to be CoX 2, and even bought that lifetime subscription based on how many years I had paid the monthly fee for CoX, but in the end when the loot boxes came in and the development slowed to a trickle I left. Getting CoX back on Homecoming is literally the best thing, and I can't wait to see what's next.
  9. If this was a PVP centric game like, say EVE Online, I would think it would be great to add the Echo zones as places to PVP in. Allow them (or sections of them) to be available as Arena Maps or whatever. I agree that Faultline's fissures would make an interesting PVP map. However, since this game has so little demand for more PVP spaces I think that my response is along the lines of "You aren't playing with the toys you have, why do you want more?" Personally, I'd rather the Echo maps get used as settings for future HC-developed Incarnate content, as enemies attack from other timestreams.
  10. Heh. At least we can always make a break free because Radiation doesn't need many inspirations 🙂 More on topic: Do absorb shields count as Resistance, or as its own category?
  11. The (A) is the slot that Automatically comes with the power. The other numbers are the level that that slot was taken at.
  12. As a bonus, jalapeños (and other peppers) are berries! So now you can have a SPICY fruit pie pizza 🙂
  13. Made doubly amusing since my *main* is the scrapper, seconded by the tank. I'm trying to determine why the brute exists. I think the answer to this question is "Because CoV had different AT's than CoH at it's launch, and no one deleted any AT when Going Rogue came out." However, I don't think that that's the (only) question(s) you've been asking for 8 pages. I hope you find what you are looking for, and that it doesn't get any AT nerfed 🙂

    Sell me Taunt.

I've been told (urban myth?) that the more swords destroyed the harder the blue hits. A team that knows this and focuses in kiting instead of hitting everything that moves should be able to produce this. Assuming it is correct. With Apex being a target Task Force this week, there should be plenty of opportunity to explore this!

    Sell me Taunt.

Taunt is most useful to me in two activities: 1: Grabbing aggro from teammates in lower level task/strike forces, especially when one too many groups of enemies get aggroed (Especially in the tilted abandoned lab map in Posi 2) 2: Herding in the MSR, which @ironjoe covered above. Taunt, especially if slotted with an IO that adds range, is helpful for staying closer to the ramps when you go out on the flat part of the ship so that you get more credit for kills happening in the bowl. A corner case for taking Taunt beyond the above might be to take a "one slot wonder" power AFTER you have exhausted options for useful IO mules.
  16. Thank you for all you hard work, on a holiday weekend no less!
  17. Whew! If the folks I usually team with saw that, someone would definitely bust out the Team Transporter! 🙂

    Moonbeam

Now I have moonbeam after testing in Grandville I recolor it
  19. That's because on a Tanker we roll Radiation Armor /Titan Weapon, which is also divine at 50, bumpy at exemplared levels. In fact, I recently dropped Ground Zero (gasp!) in order to pick up Titan Sweep so that I would have more than 2 attacks when doing the Positrons with the altaholics I run with that always seem to have new characters that need to get their Task Force Commander sorted out.
  20. If possible, you should post the builds for the characters with armor sets that you feel are letting you down. Then, folks can make specific suggestions.
  21. @Naraka, should make a suggestion thread for this! If "Increasing the Villainside Population" is a goal, then merely adding AE content won't do it. Having new characters go into the AE building in Mercy and only coming out to level up won't help the "empty" feel of the Rogue Isles. However, if there was a "Candidate for Villain Content" flag that folks could put on their AE missions, then the devs could select from the best rated ones to put into the game world outside of AE. The player made arcs would just be the first step.
  22. YES! Make these into Praetoria-style factions where if you are "Chaos" then "Mercenary" contacts won't give you missions (and vice versa), and sprinkle chances to "Change your Outlook" every level bracket or so. Make sure that the leveling paths are at least as complicated as what we see in Praetoria, so that you'd have to make at least two characters that go through different contacts to "see" it all. Oh, and add at least 3 Strike Forces, one each for "Power", "Mercenary", and "Chaos", for about lvl 30-ish so your characters are powerful, but still chasing Tier 9's and do not have access to Incarnates. (and maybe change the name of the "Power" subfaction to "Dominance" so as not to be confused with the "Loyalist - Power" alignment.)
  23. A Judgement-sized "Toxic Rain" would be glorious.
  24. I love Team Inspirations! It feels so nice when a teammate says "Oh crap, I'm out of blue", and you can hop over to them on a tanker and pop an inspiration to help them out. No worries about their tray being full, no issues with them failing to hit the right buttons because they are distracted with other issues. Of course it doesn't hurt that the big ones sell for okay Inf on the Auction House 🙂
  25. I went with the Elemental>Energy shield in black. Makes a dim halo of a shield that looks techy and is almost invisible while hidden.
