  1. I would not drop Telekinesis and Levitate from Mind Control. Leave Mind control as is, for those who like it as is (there are many) and just create a brand new telekinetic control set.
  2. The best suggestions are the ones you just post and say what you're trying to fix (why you think it's an issue, the REASON why you're making the suggestion) and then letting things flow, while debating with folks about it. Often other better suggestions (or player suggested workarounds) can come out of that. That debate isn't design philosophy. We're not designing anything. It's up to the devs to decide the how of how they implement a change, IF they decide to. That debate can also help to inform the devs if it's a suggestion they want to even try to pursue. They read every suggestion, but just because it's posted here doesn't mean it's a shoe in to get implemented. That was impossible on live and is probably quadropoly so here with a volunteer dev team of the current size. And the folks who don't like the the suggestion are just as important in their opinion as those who make or like a suggestion. In IT design philosophy is best left to the devs as they know the code best. I'd say that's true even with this game where the code is out in the wild. With that said you've been polite all along this thread so kudos on that. 🙂 EDIT: And to be clear I'm not picking on you. I'm stating the above cause I've seen many folks gets confused when the devs don't implement things exactly as they wish or even that a majority of players wish or suggest. (See the recent Sorcery shitstorm right before the last HC update).
  3. This is pretty much the only thing I miss about live. The list of things I specifically don't miss, including the silliness of the AH/Market on live, the old idea that tank herding was the best way to play, and no solo incarnate path, is much much MUCH longer.
  4. I don't think it's realistic to think that the pros and cons of a suggestion won't be debated in the same thread. That's the point of the suggestion forum. Also opening a new thread would just be needless clutter imo. Often those discussions about the props and cons, can improve a suggestion, as has happened numerous times on these forums and especially on live. EDIT: Debating if a change is even needed goes right along with every suggestion. That's not "design philosophy" as any suggestion made is up to the devs how the actually implement it. (Or even if they do no matter how much debate their is for or against a suggestion). Not us.
  5. EDIT: NVM, just saw the latest.
  6. Even if this were to be the case, it is still the Team Leader's responsibility when advertising a TF what the level range would be. Actually I'd argue even more so, if this were ever implemented. I can't think of any reasons to be against this.
  7. I once said "Mount Lady (from MHA anime) would love you" at a Lusca fight. Half the team got the reference and I was proud. 🙂
  8. Bill, you are a brave brave man. *runs from the thread. FAST*
  9. hmmmm. That's very new. I assume it's a dev only feature also.
  10. That was one of the silliest arguments I've seen on the COH forums and that's saying something. For the record I agreed with you. And glad Score/HC did also.
  11. Hopefully she one day decides to devote her brain to science and we get better computers out of it. 😛
  12. Bill you're more polite than me lol. Fire should just be left as is. It's fire, that's all it does. See the above posted meme about just casting fireball. Agreed that SOME sets need help. nothing major. EPICALLY disagree (only time I'd actually use /jranger nowadays) that blasters as an AT as a whole need help. LOL, no. They are probably one of the dead last (other than tankers) ATs that I would say need any assistance whatsoever. (even if just a few sets need SOME help, but nothing major).
  13. To be honest that would happen no matter what content at what difficulty you build at this point. The game engine and what you can actually do in COH at this time is pretty much mostly set in stone. And you have players who have been playing this game for over a decade. Pretty much any content would be batten and breezed through within a week. That's actually the general nature of MMOs. EDIT: At the time as that the Incarnate Trials were released it really did not take long for them to be each beaten. EDIT2: With that said I'd say HC should STILL make the attempt for those who still want that harder content.
  14. If he already has Hasten those slotted with that (which I'm assuming he does if he's that much into building) then he has extra.
  15. And thus will be many more powers I skip altogether if possible. Or simply don't put any slots into them if its something I'm forced to take in my pri or secondary.
  16. SwitchFade said it all. Other servers have messed with the cap and yes, it makes game play absolutely boring on those servers. And even easier than COH already is.
  17. This is pretty much the summary of ANY potential change that can't be agreed upon ever, in COH history. I pray for anyone who does dev work on this game most of the time. LOL
  18. And I pray those days never come back. The game was boring as spit when that was the meta.
  19. So in conclusion make it required to be 45+ /thread.
  20. Yeah no. Tanks are fine now. Some would say WAAAY better than fine now. They don't need ANY further changes. OP please do some reading in the Tank forums to see what we mean.
  21. I'm shocked that this needs to be said. I would think the community would be considerate enough to NOT want any grief put upon the HC team after everything they do for us. This thread has apparently taught me that people are more selfish than I first thought. I mean the team has pretty much asked us not to do it. They don't ask us for much.
  22. I typed up a less polite response then stopped. You're is spot on. I'll just say this to any other edgelords that may appear thinking that NOT infringing on any other IP while playing on HC servers doesn't apply to them: There is a code of conduct you agree to when you start playing on the HC servers. Full stop. Yes, it applies to YOU. Yes You. lol.
  23. Pretty much this. Better to avoid anything that can give the team grief. They are volunteering their time. They are not paid. Let's all appreciate that.
  24. Yeah they can easily shut us down if they wanted to. And the HC staff don't deserve any kind of flack. Sorry but IP infringement is still a no no. Luminara's point are spot on.
