  1. I'm not so much against this, as I always wonder, what's the point of resistance, if the answer to it, is to raise the damage of the sets to overcome resistances. Maybe, the better solution would be, not all enemies need to be highly smashing resistance.
  2. Tight builds getting tighter with the idea of Confront being a Taunt Aura with a pop up of single target Taunt. That seems like a pretty fair idea. Also, no need to make that Taunt Aura cost any Endurance. Now, I was okay with giving some of the other sets Taunt in some of those auras, like Fire Armor (Damage is supposed to be it's mitigation) but really, this feels like a good idea. Now, I will say, on the down side of this, is those with Confront who may not want to have the taunt aura but do want the single target taunt. HOWEVER it's not often I see a Scrapper with Confront.
  3. That's another, I believe I've seen her do that with having a taunt aura in the group though. Also, group, not one, one tends to solo.
  4. I'm quite happy with my Ice/Fire Brute. Not sure what it's ST DPS is, but it's my fire farmer and it does okay on all the TFs so far in team play. But it was meant to be a fun concept fire farmer.

    Regen 3.0?

    I made a thread about trying to make a Regen without Tough/Weave, but even then, most other sets use Tough/Weave to get that extra Resist/Defense. Maneuvers may or may not be the exception. At just SO range, I'm not sure I would see Regen much differently than the other sets on just SOs, but it's been so long since I ran a SO build at level 50 😛

    Well, I could do that with almost any set with a heal. Ninjitsu has a self heal. I can say that's regen for the concept. WP of course is used for Regen concepts. Fire Armor...regen with fire powers due to healing flames, and look, comes with a self rez. All it really takes for a regen concept is a self heal really. So, I'd still like to improve on Regeneration it self.

    If we want to put something useful on self rez powers, why not give them a small passive ability? Grab Revive and you get +5 Resist All. Can't be buffed? Basically the same as the IO. Or 5% Heal Proc (like Power Transfer's Heal Proc). May or may not be able to enhance it. Just not +HP. We get that from Dull Pain, so that just seems terrible. Could be another +Rec boost, seeing as how Revive accepts Heal and EndMod Enhancements.

    Now that could be a good change to the set. Heal over Time: 11% (went a little under half of what Temporal Mending gives on Defenders) attached to Reconstruction. I wouldn't want to give up the full heal of Reconstruction but adding a small Heal Over Time on to it. Not sure it would actually help it's survival that much but it seems like it would add to the Regen feeling to it.

    Have to be honest. I never used MoG to run off and hide. I used it like Instant Healing. "Things are going down hill! Click it!" I still feel MoG should have Resist/Defense to All and Resilience to have Resist to All, with an increase in Toxic Resist (Regen to me should have high Toxic Resist :p) Though if Psychic really needs to be a weakness, could add it to MoG but keep it out of Resilience. I don't see why Regen and Recharge Resistance would be to over the top. Not sure about the changes to Instant Healing on times and durations. Not sure I want reduced regen rate.
  12. +5 2 level 50 Rech/EndMod IOs and you'll be set once you have other +Rec IOs in place.
  13. I don't farm much, but when I do, I use an Ice/Fire Brute and I don't use the Ice Patch really. I may have dropped it a couple of times, but I don't recall it being because of defense.
  14. Well, I said I was for it in the case of Fire Armor, as part of it's said defense is more damage to kill quicker. However, they're busy running away, so they're not attacking, you can keep beating on the one staying in the fire or pick the one to chase down and finish off, before they either attack from range or run back and attack you. So, the run away from your burn is still valid, even if you don't like it. The only thing I really see keeping them in Burn Patch, is maybe, more fire armor scrapper fire farmers. 😛
  15. Because they didn't have Fire Armor in the beginning. It was strictly a Tanker Secondary. That said, it could be considered defensive. They run. They're not attacking you.
  16. Which is why I'd say, make it dependent on the Defense Set. Regen and SR for instance, aren't a set that needs it for survival. Close or far away, the survival is the same. Fire Armor is the one where I guess one could argue either way. Dark Armor could possibly as well, but if they're mezzed they're not exactly running away.
  17. I'd say Ice Armor (with it's -DMG and +Def based on enemies) and Energy Aura with it's +Def PBAOE, may like a taunt aura to keep enemies close. Fire Armor wants them close for more damage, but I'd say there's many who'd say that's the defense of Fire Armor, damage.
  18. Terrible idea. Some of those confronts are awesome animations and why I try to fit them into my builds! That, and I like to be a Scrapper who can taunt an AV 🙂
  19. Not really. Nothing ever said all sets have to be equal. We already know they're not equal in terms of survival. Why would ability to taunt be the exception to the rule? This isn't to say, I agree that all new sets shouldn't have a taunt aura. Should be based on the set. Just not on clear times.
  20. What was your team and what was your difficulty setting? You said Incarnates. Did you all have LORE pets? It's already been stated, the TF came out before Incarnates were a thing.
  21. That started as my main's hairstyle on CoH when I transferred to Virtue from Victory (it was not an option at the beginning of the game). Then switched to Hard Candy. Though, I'm not sure I see as many with Serrated Sugar, as I used to.
  22. Well, I got my Elec/Elec to pretty much 90% on S/L/F/C/E/P and over 42% Toxic/57% Negative. Not going to see a Scrapper do that.
  23. Why play a brute? Higher resist caps 😛 WP is supposed to have it's weak taunt aura, which, if I'm not mistaken, isn't enough to keep Director 11 taunted.
  24. Yup. Yup. You're right. I was thinking some storyline mission AVs. There are those two TF AVs.
