Trying to make a build for a DP/Nin with as much ST DPS as I could get. So far, looking to be the 160+ range (not sure how much the -Resist Procs add to DPS, but hoping more than 1 each). Got to wondering, is there a macro to switch between ammo types for Piercing Rounds? Should I just keep it with Fire Ammo?

I did go with Agility, because I felt it helped the build more than the extra damage, which would be nice, would.

What Alpha did you go with? I'm debating between Agility and Musculature. Currently have Agility Tier 1.

Having a lvl 49 Ice/Nin Stalker, I suggest it. Ninja was originally a Stalker only set. I find it has plenty of skippable (for me anyways) powers, so I can pick up more Pool Powers. AOE and ST mix. PBAOE won't come til level 32, but Frost is early level and does better ST damage than Frozen Fists (or it may have been just a hair under, but Frost can slot a -Resist Proc). I love the Pink Pom Poms of Energy Melee, but the lack of Whirling Hands keeps me away.

Well, always loved Frozen Aura. Love that foot stomp action 🙂 Frost + Frozen Aura and now Water Spout and Caltrops, I feel like I have the AOE and the Single Target. Stalker, so damage never feels like to much of an issue when soloing. I do wish Stalkers had a straight up Ice/Cold Mastery though. Leviathan was the closest I can get to that. Would be nice if Stalker version of Ninjitsu got some of that +Spd of Scrapper/Sentinel version 🙂

Well, the KB proction will work when exemped. I do have the End Mod Proc in Stamina and I have Panacea Health/End Proc as well. However, you made me realize, I could swap out Hover with Combat Jumping, grab it at level 30, slot it with a KB Resist and LotG: Global Recharge, and then remove the -Resist Proc from Water Spout, and the Stealth Proc from Sprint (no more 2.5% S/L Resist there), and 6 slot Man. with Red Fortune. Over 46% Range now. Lost some S/L Resist, but gained defense and 5% more recharge. As for End Use itself, I can't say for sure, since I'm still only level 44, so no Purple sets +5ed or Superior ATOs, etc etc.

I seriously doubt you're taking on AVs and maps at 4/8 with just normal IOs/SOs. Sure, I was able to solo some normal missions on my Elec/Storm Troller (didn't try at 2/8) but it was slooooow. 😛 Nothing compared to my scrappers for instance. So, really, you're building up to take ont he 4/8 AV maps, and even then, you'd have to be pretty specific builds to be able to pull off the DPS needed for the +4 AV. If people aren't finding challenge, it's likely because they're playing their AE map, that is setup to let them be the best at that map, or they're not actually playing the game. -
Just go with Blinding Feint > Attack Vitals Combo and you're golden.

Well, Stalkers never had the End Heal, and Ninjitsu was only ported on HC. So, I wouldn't say it was lost. And true.

Well, I won't lie. It'd be nice if it got a bit of Scrapper/Sentinel version's +Run/Jump and +End ability. However, that said, I think the same for Regen and WP and the Stalker version losing Quick Recovery. Doesn't have to be on the same level, but sometimes it feels like a lot to lose for 3% Defense and the ability to stealth a mission.

Well, you know, I don't want any of the powers in Energy Melee to lose their stun ability, but I wouldn't mind Bone Smasher gaining a Knockdown to go with the stun 🙂

Agreed! My main at the time was a WP/EM Tank and the devs changing that animation, killed the set for me. I still don't like the animation, but I still love the pink pom poms 🙂 I liked how I could go about stacking stuns, high ST damage, the animation of Whirling Hands and that it may not be AOE king, but it at least had a PBAOE attack.

I still like the idea of giving Total Focus the Crushing Uppercut animation and Energy Transfer the Spinning Strike animation. Faster animations, no change in damage, better looking animations. 🙂 No change in damage, so increase in ST DPS

The Hellfire Whips could like be made into an Assault set for Dominators as well.

Okay, sounds like this is good advice for all the ATs. Does this hold up for Brutes as well, as aren't they lower the Mod 1 (which is just Scrappers, Stalkers, Blasters, Veats, Dominator (melee only or maybe range is close enough to 1, and Sentinels)?
