  1. This time around, we're just doing Sonic Resonance paired with anything. Unfortunately that's not available to Blasters so none of them this time around. While I'm typing, might as well give a quick update. The leveling certainly is fast. After 2 weeks (4 sessions) most folks are in the low-mid 40s. My character is 43. By no means should anyone be dissuaded to join still because of a level disparity. We can sk anybody and/or exemplar down for a tf/sf.
  2. Here's the basic facts: A new level 50, slotted with the regular version of both ATO sets (Defender in this case) joined an Ice Mistral, malefactoring to level 40. Early, it occurred to me that I had not upgraded those IOs so I made a quick base run to collect catalysts to upgrade my 2 sets of 6 Defender ATOs. I took 6 catalysts out of storage, went through the upgrade process and noticed I was no longer able to upgrade after 3 pieces. I took out another bunch of catalysts (didn't really count, let's say 10) and kept track of each upgrade. I noticed that the catalyst count went down by 2 every time I upgraded. I put all the catalysts back into storage and retrieved one. I went to the upgrade screen, which then did not give me the option to upgrade, just to reset and exit. When I exited that screen, I had lost that catalyst. I did try this another time just to verify and indeed, a catalyst was simply lost if I had one. I thought maybe the problem was that I was malefactored, so I waited until the SF was completed and my level returned to 50 The same thing happened again. I logged onto another account and the same thing happened. Then I exited the game, closed Tequila then restarted Tequila and the game. The issue no longer manifested itself and one catalyst upgrade one ATO, as expected. I don't know what caused what, but to summarize, when Exemplared/Malefactored, I would lose 1 catalyst on each upgrade attempt. If I had 2 (or more) catalysts the IO would become superior and I would have 2 fewer catalysts. If I only had one, I would simply lose it. This behavior persisted even after attaining combat level 50 again. The behavior stopped after I restarted the game and the launcher.
  3. Thanks, I do promise that I read that article but skimmed that particular section and missed it. I hate being the "google this for me" guy. ETA - to clarify, I actually don't buy them attuned, I buy the recipe at lowest level and craft it. That tends to be notably cheaper than the crafted IO and there's no advantage to having the level scale with you.
  4. I do the same typically. Right now though, I happen to have some proc recipes (that I am planning to use, like the Lady Grey that I mentioned) drop at lvl 50 and I'm just wondering if I should bother attuning them or just slot them.
  5. Here's something I should know but can't say I do for sure. If I'm not concerned with set bonuses, does level matter for a damage proc firing off? This is specifically about uncommon and rare sets, not PVP or Very Rare. I know the latter 2 categories will work. For an example, if I slot a level 50 Lady Grey chance for negative damage in Irradiate, a power selected at level 6, will the proc have a chance to fire when exemplared to lvl 30? Thanks in advance. To reiterate, this is just regarding damage (or debuff/status affecting) procs.
  6. I'll take the first of these 2 that would do it for all my characters - H. Jon Benjamin Jon Bailey I guess I'm a sucker for "Jon"s.
  7. Patience grasshopper. Yes there may be spikes in the day where rare salvage sells for 7 digits but normalcy returns. I did have to up my standard rare bid price by 25k, since it does appear the floor has been raised recently. However, it's certainly not true that "rare salvage costs 1M". At least it doesn't to someone willing to wait an hour or 2, certainly 24.
  8. For the questions: * 2 sources of diamagnetic won't remotely be overkill for an AV. It stacks up to 4 times on a target. * The Annihilation proc will of course increase your damage done. It will only ever apply once at a time though. * Well sure, in a fight with lvl 57 (54+3) Mot, I'd bet on him, but for most AVs, certainly even cons, you should be fine. As to rad blast vs sonic, I'm not seeing how 1 proc that may stick a 20% res debuff is providing more damage than a blast set that stacks 20% with each attack (with 2 exceptions). The -def is irrelevant, most high level builds have 95% to-hit against purples and if they don't because of an AV's DEF, then -def won't be much help, since that's so severely resisted.
  9. I voted Thugs/Cold because somehow, astonishingly enough, Cold is the 3rd least played secondary based on that dev data posting. So more people need to play it.

    True Grit

Thanks folks, this was quite helpful as I ended up getting everything, recharge and the additional resists: 1751 hp f/c res 40.3 e/n res 29.1 tox res 23.8 regen 212% 15.46 hp/sec global rch 95 Oh and I wasn't trying to be inscrutable by not including a build originally, just wanted to focus on the one question I had. Here's where I ended up: http://www.cohplanner.com/mids/download.php?uc=1531&c=706&a=1412&f=HEX&dc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
  11. Here to say "ditto". I was about to compose a thread to report this issue of only item of salvage being moved from personal vault to inventory, regardless of how many were selected, but saw this already existed.

    True Grit

I loved both versions of the movie, but that's not what this post is about. I'm making a build in Mids and I'm sort of torn with how to slot True Grit for a Psi Melee/Shield Def Stalker. I'm evaluating 5 Panaceas vs 4 Unbreakable Guards + Panacea proc. I'm not seeking holistic feedback, just thoughts on this specific question, so I'll just post the relevant end results rather than a Mids link: All Positional Def vectors are at 45 or a smidge more. The 4 passive accolades to buff hp and end have been included. With Panacea: 1796 hp f/c res 28.3 e/n res 20.8 toxic res 17.8 regen 222% and 16.61 hp/sec global rch 97.5 With Unbreakable Guard (including the 7.5% hp IO): 1751 hp f/c res 34.3 e/n res 29.1 tox res 23.8 regen 212% 15.46 hp/sec global rch 90 This also bumps Melee Def from 45.3 to 48.4. My strong preference is for Panacea (option 1), mostly for the recharge. I'm willing to go the other way if the resist numbers would make a notable increase to survivability.
  13. Dang MMs, let me be the one to tell you that Cold Dom is really really really good for that AT. I mean really good, certainly on a tier way beyond TA and Sonic.
  14. I've been dying to know a shortcut for Vill Disruptor and this may well be the best one I've seen yet. It may even, after all is said and done, take about the same amount of time as getting Hero Slayer from Brickstown SSA1. I say that because I end up doing the whole SSA tf to get the rewards and that includes a lot of sitting around watching dialog across the screen. This opposed to the technique for Khan of "defeat 4 EBs, log out, repeat as needed". I didn't officially start up my stopwatch for Khan, but I think it took around 1/2 hour, very similar to Brix SSA.
  15. Just a nit-pick, the sonic shields last 4 minutes, which accentuates the point of not being an active buffer. An interesting option for synergy with Sonic Resonance - Dual Pistols with Chemical Ammo. Chemical applies -dmg. -Res buffs -dmg. I just made a sonic/dp on Justin to check this out. Against an even con a Pistols attack (using Chemical Ammo) applied a -10% damage debuff as expected. When I applied a Sonic Siphon, this number became -13%. With both of the -res debuffs and a steady pistol attack, an enemy's damage output can be significantly lowered. That lowered number then gets further lowered by your resist shields. I think I see one of these in my near future. ETA - on re-reading it looks like OP was asking about synergizing with Sonic blast, not resonance. So nvm, still gave me something to think about though.
  16. For the italicized question - when you move your mouse over Hasten, you'll see a number for recharge. Your build that I imported had a value of 125.5 seconds for that. To the right of that number you'll see duration, which is 120 seconds for Hasten. With another slot that recharge becomes 113.6, which is less than 120 and therefore "perma". Truth be told, I wouldn't get too worked up about a 5-7 second downtime, but since you've got a free slot to play with, might as well use it for Hasten.
  17. Scorp Shield offers energy def, not energy res. As is, there's no resistance to enhance.
  18. That's quite nice. Are you sure this is your first attempt at a build? My only comment is that against +3s (how I have my to-hit in Mids configured) Corrosive Enzymes has 145% accuracy with just 1 acc IO. You could move one of the slots to whatever. Maybe Hasten to get it perma (which you're very close to anyway so not a big deal). I'm guessing that the Panacea H/E in Health is an error and you meant to slot the proc. Oh I do have one more - in Stamina use another piece of Perf Shifter (end/rch or end/acc) for a bit more HP. Your endurance management looks well under control.
  19. Not sure if it's omitted in the patch notes intentionally or not, but for villains and rogues, the "Window of Opportunity" tip now drops and you can do SSA2 ep 1 from Lastri Kayumanis without needing to be a lvl 50 accessing it via Oro.
  20. I noticed I got the "Window of Opportunity" tip on a villain today. Was that something new in this patch? I'm very happy to see this so hopefully lower level villains can do SSA2 part 1.
  21. I've been doing this several times and have concluded that the optimal path is to NOT fight Hua Tov and then in the final mission, give up (don't save) both Kadabra Kill and Sigil. This results in a very managable Tsoo ambush that spawns immediately, which saves some real time in an effort where I'm trying to shave off any time I can. If you just save 1 of them, then there's a conversation that takes, I dunno, 30 seconds (seems like an hour) and of course, if you save both you have a pretty big fight ahead with mobs that like to fly away (and that room has a very high ceiling). The most important time saver is to swallow your pride and do the arc at 0/1, even if it's anathema for you to fight greens, blues and greys. It's just faster, to the tune of minutes.
  22. Is recovery affected by +end from accolades and/or set bonuses?
  23. Last night's session was a hoot. I was glad to see the folks that joined and I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. The mobs melted like expected and it'll only get better from here. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised that endurance wasn't the crisis I thought it would be. I'm going to revisit my planned build to alter some choices that were done purely for end management. If you didn't make it last night, don't fret, come join on Sunday, you'll catch up in no time. I think most folks got to low 20s (22 for me).
  24. I've basically got 3 tiers for the primary The top tier - no surprises here, Bots, Thugs and Demons The middle - Necro and Beasts The rock bottom tier - Ninjas and Mercs With that said, the secondary can move someone up a tier or down. In general, I try to pair a primary that needs TLC with a care bear secondary. Similarly, minions that can sustain themselves I'll go with something that offers less support. An example of the latter is a Bots/TA I had. I know TA doesn't get much love from the MM community, but this particular pairing was noteworthy to me for how surprisingly effective it was. Whenever OSA was up (about every other spawn) mobs died FAST. I don't think I've played a MM that could clear a spawn faster than when OSA was used and lit (bots light it immediately without direction to do so). The next spawn without OSA though... a little more of a slog. My own vote for #1 combo is Bots/Cold. Benumb is the difference maker. I know for sure other combos can take out x/8 spawns faster, but when you get to the AV/GM... nasty. I also want to give a defense of Empathy. With high recharge and even higher attention to detail, all pets can have Fort with half of those Forts boosted, AB perma. It's very effective, at least for the Thugs/Emp I made but, for me, the attention to detail required keeps it from being a "go-to" character. Every 20 seconds (or less) you have to Fort the right minion. I 100% recommend it for the "I want to be a h34lz0r" crowd, so even if they just want to sit in the back playing HP whack-a-mole with teammates, they can at least put pets on aggressive so they're contributing something to team dps. I haven't tried Kin yet. I can't get over my initial skepticism about its effectiveness for MMs. Nor have I tried Rad, just because I've done enough Rad and it's not hard to imagine it for MMs. Basically, I expect it's very good with any and everything.
  25. Note for anyone multi-boxing this - make sure your "killer" has the star. I just tried it with my buffer having the star, the idea being he could camp at Heather to select the 2nd mission (before getting phone) but the npcs will only talk to the star holder. It was a pain because you're stuck until the star holder makes his way to the NPC you have to dialog with. I haven't tried every combination of save/kill Hua and the save none/save 1/save 2 for the final mission. It seems to me skipping Hua just saved that time. It does seem that save both is the most difficult (and time consuming) option. I might try all 6 combos and keep good notes on what happens. Update 1 for choosing to defeat Hua Tov (with 2 players) 1) save both - 6 Knives bosses and a 2 minute timer. 2) save 1 - ambush included 1 Knives boss, no timer 3) save none - BP ambush including a Ravager (boss) I kind of prefer the Knives boss, but not by much. Clearly #1 is the most time consuming, especially if you can't control them and they go off flying willy nilly. I'll update for skipping Hua Tov later.
