  1. Ninja / Poison MM. Oh.... you wanted a horrible unending nightmare for OTHER people?..... well... that's different.
  2. Sunday is part of the weekEND.... /jranger actually I agree with this proposal, but I mean, there has to be at least one dissenting opinion. we have traditions to uphold and all.
  3. I wouldn't take that as any kind of commitment or promise from the HC Devs. though it doesn't seem unreasonable that IF they choose to provide another Control set, they might start with the leftover skeleton and do their best to flesh it out and rebalance it.
  4. It's doable. Full Masks, under Face. I have it on my Controller for when he wants to go Full Metal Vorlon / ArchAngel Tyreal
  5. I oppose this change. "Moment of Glory" is the "almost died but drew upon focused reserves to survive" power. "Revive" is the, "I was killed.... only I don't stay down" power. And certainly "Rise of the Phoenix" has the YOU DIED but the Phoenix is always reborn angle going on. Thematically I vastly prefer the existing mechanic over a cheat death. Functionally, I suspect Self-Rez powers are taken far more often than T9's that include a crash like Elude or Unstoppable.
  6. Yep. I have 8 Praetoerians, likely to have at LEAST one of every AT before I'm done. The MM will be the trickiest, because the only MM primary I don't have yet is Mercs, and I find it hard to justify Mercs MM in Praetoria... like... okay... why is Preator White talking to YOU and not your MINONS, if they're just random human soldiers? So I need to work some kind of 'not human soldiers, just look like it' into an origin / backstory. Projected Dreams / Artificial Constructs maybe, though that kinda screams Illusion Control, not Mercs.
  7. I would not want the Ouro content cut or shortened in any way shape or form. That said, I would be entirely on board with some of of "PAUSE OURO ARC" that immediately booted you out of your current instance, disabled your ouro arc progress but did not lose track of it, and restored you to your "real level" and allowed you to group up with other people like normal, but then allowed you to "RESUME OURO ARC" by talking to the Pillar of Ice and Flame again. With hard limit of only one paused at a time per character. Cant' start any new Ouro arc until you resume or formally abandon your earlier progress. I'm agnostic on being allowed to invite people into a partially done Ouro arc / TF. I would not want any badges awarded unless you were there for WHOLE THING. And I would want any merits pro-rated by % of missions you were part of the team for, or perhaps by % of XP gained during the TF if that ends up being a cleaner way to say "dude, you were officially part of the TF, but you never entered a door mission or left the train station, you get nothing", etc.
  8. This will likely remain true for a big chunk of the player base. I still maintain that that's a DAMN shame and people are costing themselves some very fine story arcs and interesting zones because of it.
  9. I've been playing since June 2019, on a fairly regular basis. I have level exactly two 50's in that time, a 48, a 46, two 40's, two 30's, about 8 in the twenties and another eighteen or so below that. Because I am specifically NOT powerlevelling, and in fact disabling XP at several points along the way when there's X content I want to do "at level" or because I want to do wide variety of the tip missions (tips are availalbe from 20+, but they are divided into a tier... 20-30 tips, 30-40 tips, 40-50 tips... if you zoom to 50, you'll never see many of them), etc. It's very possible to throttle your own pace if you wish it. One need not keep up with the joneses.
  10. if cars and trucks can hurt Hellions and Skulls, they have to hurt the players too. And yes, I know exactly how homicidal that would make some of these drivers....
  11. Not convinced it's needed. I'm not deathly opposed to the idea either, but.... my MM's worked right fine without. Even taking their sweet time levelling, it was never that big a deal to have the normal amount of pets.
  12. Yes. But I think there's still the limits of 300 characters per SG, and 10 SG's per Coalition. Though... I'm fuzzy on both of those. Those may have changed on Homecoming. I wasnt' really looking / paying those limits much attention anyway.
  13. Real Life desperately needs some patches. I mean, the graphics are incredible, and the attention to detail in the zones is legendary, and interface is reallly intuitive. So kudos for that. But the Real Life GM's need to get seriously crackin on fixing some reported bugs. And what's up with this enforced Hardcore One-Life-Only mode for Real Life? I mean c'mon, some of us are looking for something more casual.
  14. Some characters you see from several angles as you do each type of tip mission. Hero, Vigilante, Villain, Rogue. And there's some really good writing in the Vigilante-to-Villain, or Rogue-to-Hero tip missions. Offhand, I don't know how many of them feature Stalwart, but there's a few at least. I'm more familiar with Flambeaux, Blast Furnace, Polar Shift, Hollow Point, etc. I really recommend doing the tip missions though. 40 merits for 11 mission (10 tip missions plus 1 alignment mission) is on par with some TF's, and they're a LOT better written than radio missions. I do have some characters where their concept means they're ALWAYS a hero, or ALWAYS a villain, but other characters of mine are more fluid and it makes sense for me to do the tip missions on those characters.
  15. Personally I prefer it this way, but ... after other MMO's ... I've very skittish of anything that smacks of a "Guild". Some of it is definiltely more of a "me" issue than a "SG" issue. But I prefer operating on a Pug basis or global friends basis than formally being in the same SG as other players.
  16. ahhh, people are talking about assorted clowns? it all makes sense now.
  17. Double Trick Arrows... I missed that the first time through. That should work quite well. Trick Arrow is Ka-Ka-KA-RAZY good debuffing, and with a PAIR of Flash Arrows you'll be able to pick your fights, skip what you choose to, and generally a lot of things will miss you. Glue Arrow is super excellent for kiting mobs. It's actually quite good mitigation, because mobs spend so much effort trying to leave the glue patch you can get several free hits. If you use Ice Arrows in conjunction you should be able to lock down bosses pretty well, too. With NO IO's at all, one of you may want to dip into the Medicine pool. But, also a lot to be said for skipping Medicine and both taking Manuevers and Assault. Two stacks of Manuevers AND two Flash Arrows will seriously change the math on incoming to-hit rolls, and a couple stacks of Assault will boost your kill speed quite nicely.
  18. Sky Raiders and Malta are probably more aligned to Tech in what they drop, but they're basically ordinary humans with fancy gear, and an occasional robot sidekick. "The Mysterious General Z", listed 25-29, is a favorite of mine. "Ubelmann the Unknown", listed as 25-29, was also excellent. An interesting ending, too. late game, "World Wide Red" (45-50), It's long and very Malta heavy though, so depending on your AT/Powers that migth get rough.
  19. I think you mean Speed of Sound / Jaunt, not Burst of Speed. But both are really really nice.
  20. Yea. I mean, I get it. So far, they've given new sets where they can be available to BIGGEST groups of players / most AT's at once. origin pool sets: available to literally every character eletrical affinity: support set, availbe to controllers, defenders, corruptors, and masterminds tweaks to blast sets: affect blasters, corruptors, defenders, maybe sentinels, tweaks to armor sets; brutes, tanks, scrappers, stalkers, maybe sentinels. tweaks to melee sets: brutes, tanks, scrappers, stalkers. By contrast.... introducing new Control sets? affects Controllers and Doms only, and either there's fewer of us, or we're not the squeakiest of wheels. Introducing new Dom Secondaries? Affects Dom's only. Nobody else. New MM primaries? (or MM customization?) Affects MM only, nobody else. So I get we may need patience given limited dev hours. But I do hope they're planning to sprinkle a few of those in there, along iwth the wider-hitting changes.
  21. I'd never ever EVER click on it, so if a button was added, it wouldn't hurt me. Even if I want to claim like 600 brain storm ideas on someone, it doesn't take me that long to click claim a few dozen times. And I'm a control freak who likes to manually allocate these things.
  22. It always varies by character... some have greater endurance needs than others. But I tend to use: 2 slots in Health: Miracle proc, and Panacea proc 2 slots in Stamina: Perf Shifter proc, and Power Transfer proc. If I find myself losing the END curve, I'll take out the Power Transfer proc and slap in a Perf Shift:End Mod piece to at least get a 2-piece bonus there. And of course, it's not always *just* about Stamina and Health. My Storm/Sonic Defender also leverages Annihilation set, and Reactive Defenses, and Preventative Medicine to stack a few "-% End Cost For All Powers" bonuses. My Fire/Fire/Fire Sentinel went nuts and uses Annihilation, Reactive Defenses, Unbreakable Guard, and Preventative Medicine for 4 sources of that set bonus. It really makes a heck of a difference over long fights with many toggles and many click powers activated.
  23. Not quite. PvP zones, you enter the zone, you're exemplared down. There is no choice. There is no option. It just HAPPENS. I'm envisioning something where, It's optional. Activated by talking toi someone inside the zone, maybe at the tram, maybe a trainer, something. Your level 50 can walk up to them and say "See here sonny, when I was your level..." and by clicking on that option SHAZAM, you'd exemplared down from 50 to top of the level range for that zone. When you select a zone at the tram, it tells you the range for that zone. Take high value from that range for that zone. You stay exemplared until you log out, or exit the zone, or go back to the NPC and cancel it.
  24. I still like the idea of having an NPC in the zone that, can Exemplar you down to the max level of that zone, for the asking. a) no one has to use it who doesn't want to b) likely to be far more contained in impact then using GIant Monster / Zombie Apocolypse levels to all existing mobs c) no need to redesign for what kinds of powers an Outcast or Skull or Sky Raider should have when they'r fighting a lvl 54 character. d) you could do street sweeping for XP if you were so inclined, or refuse the exemplar if you want to be incarnate terror blowing up Perez Park. e) it would not have to impact normal mission contacts. I mean, it'd be nice, but if the logistics sucked, those could continue to go by your real level and just Ouro as needed. f) would be nice if it affected Newspaper/Radio though.
  25. Depends. My Mind/Kin uses a resist armor... Mind Over Body... primarily for concept reasons. But he's ungrouped, just for walking-around values he's sitting at: If he's soloing, that's plenty enough defense, because he'll have all of an opening mob Held or Confused or Slept, or at *least* Feared, in very short order, unless there's Purple Triangles going on. LOTS less attacks will be incoming once I use controls to turn half the enemy against itself. Teamed, that 33.7% ranged defense generally goes well over 45%, and melee goes over 40% just from random team buffs. A few teammates will have manuevers, or maybe we'll have a bubbler, or a Cold Domination or Traps user or a Widow/Soldier. Could he stand to have a bit more AoE defense? ya probably, but it hasnt' been an issue thus far. And the having Smashing/Lethal resistances being so high makes him plenty durable enough to squeeze off a transfusion. Maybe min/max would say I should have gone Scorpion shield or Frozen Armor, but he's never felt squishy to me after lvl 41.
