  1. Had someone ask about this in help - they were using lightning clap and it was knocking stuff back (as it does.) They were looking at the power description at the bottom - where it shows: 50% chance for 1.0 mag stun for (time) on target.) 30.78 fire damage on target - only using fiery embrace. (So far so good.) 2.00 mag stun for 9.54 on target (only using fiery embrace) 4.15 mag knock on target (only using fiery embrace.) So they were getting confused as to why it was knocking stuff around, as they don't have FE. They asked about it in help, and most people regardless of AT (including on my Corr) saw the same thing - probably want to clean up or clarify the description, esp. with the "knockback" up top as well.
  2. Yeah, you're kind of unclear with what you're asking for. Are you asking for an illusion armor set, with a taunt that does damage? Are you asking for Taunt to do Illusionary damage (which... drives me up the wall on Illusion, personally) ? (Complately unsure what "Pride" has to do with it....)
  3. I know it is, given the appearance of one by someone who doesn't have a racist bone in their body. We see them occasionally (they're only in game once in a while) at the Cape show Thursday nights.
  4. So, nothing is paid for now, so the "prizes" have been reallocated and the badges repurposed. There was the (old) "VIP Access" (even before the game went "freemium") that gave access to the Tiki Lounge in Pocket D. Since that's open to everyone, you get that badge after spending an hour in Pocket D. The veteran badges were awarded while paying for a subscription (or having done so) to unlock certain things... which, again, there's no subscription, and most of anything that could have been unlocked is now at the P2W vendor, or already part of the costumes, or which ever they awarded. I mean, you can refer to this: https://archive.paragonwiki.com/wiki/Veteran_Rewards_Program and going through the items listed as being rewards? They're *all* either: - Available in P2W (blackwand, temporary pets, etc.) - Available costume items by default (trenchcoat, wings, etc.) - Available in the base editor, - irrelevant (another character slot... but we have 1000 per server per account) - or otherwise available (respecs, for instance - you get every 10 levels, or can buy, on top of earned ones through trials.) The badges themselves have been repurposed - most of them for names of badges you get every 3 Veteran levels. Of those, the ones not tied to a VL are: Trustworthy - now an exploration badge for visiting the artifacts behind Azuria in Atlas Battle Hardened - epxloration badge in Cimerora Tried and True - Exploration badge in Omega Team Memorial, Atlas Park (city rep and dr khan.) City Traveler - Exploration badge, monorail, atlas park (Edit: echo:atlas park.) Loyal Customer - Badge on completing Market Crash.
  5. So this does two slightly different things. On live, if you have no battlecry and hit F10, you get the animation and "Unknown command: send." On beta, it points and gives an error of "Incorrect format: (Command synonyms: try /say, /local, /s, /l ) " I don't recall it giving any sort of error back on live if you had nothing in there, but I don't think this should be throwing an error just because you don't have something set up for it.
  6. *Can* RWIN and LWIN - much less enter/return - be rebound? I could see those being problematic. The wheelplus and wheelminus may be pre-set to zoom in and out. F13, 14 and 15, I think we'd need someone with a Mac keyboard to check on (otherwise there *are* ways of rebinding other keys... unless someone has an ancient 24 F-key keyboard to check on...) Edit: Did a quick test with LWIN on ... well, test. (Just a /bind lwin l Hello There.) It does put out the text, but also brings up the WIndows menu, so if you want to use these, you'll have to disable that... I don't know if the keyboard switches some KBs have - usually for "game mode" - physically disable the switch or just remove its "Bring up the Windows menu" programming. On my Corsair KB, it renders the switch completely non functional.) (Edit 2: Works on a Mac keyboard, as expected, with no impact at all that I can find on a PC kb without something previously mapped to call itself "F13" or the like.)
  7. The flip side of "there'll be more and more" (given how this hasn't really changed...) is that ... it hasn't really changed and is *lacking* useful information. Maybe come up with the options and let people select what they want to search / sort by. If they want "ALL THE THINGS!" they can add all the things, if they want a few sort features and INF, they can have just that, etc. More work, granted. But the customizability may just make it even more useful and appreciated.
  8. There have been a lot of requests for tweaks/changes/more info on the character select screen. I don't know how hard they'd be - given this is just looking up a number that doesn't care about what zone you're in, etc. it might be on the easier side, but... well, spaghetti code. Fingers crossed on a character select screen revision in general though. One of those things that was long overdue even on live.
  9. I'd say it's probably a mix of (a) them being a *lot* more work than a regular powerset, and (b) a bit of being side specific/lore tied, etc. versus somewhat generic "beasts," "thugs" "Ninja" etc.
  10. Hmm. Didn't the old live forums have a contest for billboards and stores at one point, too? I don't recall when, though.. given (a) the wayback machine and (b) the copy of the old ones someone has floating around, I'm sure the info's in there, too... at least what they requested for us. THAT SAID... talking about it as a mod would mean only you'd see them, if you're replacing textures. With mention of costume contests, SG advertisements, etc (which themselves would be server specific,) something woul dneed to be submitted, approved and put in serverside, I'm pretty sure.
  11. Yeah, I specify mine, because I always put them in a c:\binds directory (sometimes, like with lyrics, in a subdirectory.)
  12. Well, not "every other," just most... but there are (IIRC) Incarnate-ish Family which might be useful for this. And yeah, I have at least one character this would be good for as well.
  13. Also an easy way to get reported for harassment, with certain activities *being logged* to show deliberate activity against a user. *shrug* But that's what an ignore list is for. I encourage people to use it in cases like this.
  14. Do you still have your old installation? Look in the install folder under "Accounts." You'll have your user names under there.
  15. Honestly, the Help menu's been outdated even on live. It's somewhat sparse in areas, I don't think parts of it were updated or updated in a timely manner... yeah. Pointing at the proper chats, an FAQ, some common references (base editing controls, for instance) with outside links probably is the best.
  16. I can't think of names I wouldn't use, short of copyrighted / offensive... which are covered in the various agreements anyway. *points at list of alts, with things like I want my mummy, sweet child o'mimes, bill of wights....*
  17. Bah. Late night, not entirely awake 😄
  18. Absolutely not. Way too overpowered. 😉 On a serious note, I don't know if it's possible to do so without building in a bunch of checks and such on the back end, since when you're dead - or even just immediately after zoning in to DA or other Incarnate-enabled zones - your level shifts revert to 0 since the powers (and your character) aren't "active." (took someone into DA on test who's +3 to verify I'm remembering this properly... results, well: )
  19. I want to say, from rusty memory, that it changes the salvage used for each because you get different drops as you level - so you're likely to have the salvage you need at level 10 as well as different salvage for the same thing at 40 (for instance.)
  20. It's not so much "Which primaries do you like/not like" for me, as much as "Which combinations are fun/not fun?" Back on live, I had a bots/FF mastermind. That was so *mind numbingly boring* and "sit back and watch" it just about put me off the entire AT all together. (The AOE buffing made it even worse, as I had even LESS to do.) I mentioned it on the (live) mastermind forum, and with some discussion, a Thugs/Poison was suggested. It's very active... and the only set I've ever accidentally soloed an AV with. (Forgot my settings, ended up with an AV countess crey, if I remember right, and decided "what the heck, go for it.") SO, these days it's (a) picking a concept and (b) figuring out which primaries and secondaries work well together - which secondaries keep you in melee range if you have a melee set, which are good for ranged, etc. As far as petless masterminds? It's not my place to tell anyone else how to play. If that's how they're having fun, then they've succeeded with a petless MM. If someone doesn't like that they're playing one, they can keep their opinions to themselves. END costs... for both primary and secondary could still have a look taken at them. (I keep thinking of the poison heal being (a) slow and (b) expensive feeling.) *shrug* Level shifts... I get why they're there. I think I'd like to have my minions have a bit more of a ... "spawn protection" phase, though. It's annoying to recast minions and have them completely wiped out before you can finish clicking the first upgrade button. That would be more welcome, to me, than level shift changes for most content. Though given they have a hard time hitting some things, perhaps MMs should have a bit of a minion-only inherent leadership - not at full strength, but at least enough to help them with hitting and doing damage.
  21. And here the live devs told us all we really needed to know was Excel! 😉
  22. Two thoughts. 1. Why? It currently works just fine. And it's spread across several ATs in both primary, secondary and APP/Patron pools. 2. Main issue I'd have with this is changing it from a PBAOE to a cone means everyone who has it now has to re-slot if they're using sets, and some may find it less useful (specifically melee, but I'd have to add some of my corrupters and defenders to that) to have it as a cone vs. an AOE.
  23. Well, I was thinking of this being the change "at x difficulty setting." So, yeah, your solo Ice/Sonic 'troller probably wouldn't have it set that high solo, but on a team that's already steamrolling stuff...
  24. Honestly, the sorts of things I'd rather see as "increased difficulty" ... well, probably aren't easily doable, since it'd be futzing with the game AI. But having mobs *react* to what's going on. I mean, currently it's... *Spawn sitting around drinking coffee.* *Sound of gunfire, explosions, screaming in the distance.* "What's that?" "Probably the air conditioner on the fritz again." *Enemy mob goes running past, 5% health, on fire, somewhat radioactive.* "Wait, wasn't that Bob?" "Yep." "Shouldn't we check on him or see what happened?" "Nah, it's Tuesday, Bob always does something crazy on Tuesday. So, I'm thinking about a new car..." What if they were *investigating* the explosions, calling for backup, maybe Bob up there has a sort of Taunt aura applied when he goes running so the other mobs he passes are alerted and come to see what happened?
  25. Eh. Have to admit I find GMs kind of ... boring. No, I don't have some solo-all-the-GMs build or anything. They're just not *interesting.* They're "go to spot, join team, hit buttons for a minute, collect 6 merits." Make it interesting. Make it *part* of something. Give it something unique to look out for or have to do. Make it more than just a giant pile of hit points.
