  1. Did you do any testing whatsoever or provide any kind of substantive feedback to help address concerns with your "The Bad" and "The FUGLY"? You pay absolutely no money to play a game supported by volunteers. Yet you start a whole thread just to indicate your likes and dislikes. Issue 27 has literally been out for four hours...
  2. The Tour Guide Missions are a great tease! Knowing these are a work in progress, perhaps adding a separate tab for them in the Mission categories (i.e., Active, Inactive, Detective, Tips, Tour Guide Pamphlets) may distinguish them more for players.
  3. Ooh! I would like to know as well. The exploit I reported back in July this year was removed thanks to the new Long Range Teleporter Accolade. Very diligent work!
  4. Hey badgers! With Issue 27 now live, a bunch of new badges are available to collect. One badge in particular I think may require some extra effort in acquiring, so I thought I would post some helpful information that a few forum posters and players found from clues left by Piecemeal for this content over the past couple months. That being said, there are spoilers below for this awesome content! Story Arc: The Freakish Lab of Dr. Vahzilok (Villain, Level 30-39) Contact: Doc Buzzsaw, Sharkhead Isle Listed in Ouroboros under Captain (Level 35-39) > The Freakish Lab of Dr. Vahzilok (27.02) Special thanks goes to: @Grouchybeast, @Lines, @Ironblade, @LQT, @FoulVileTerror, and @Piecemeal . SPOILERS! Tarnished Star Earned in Doc Buzzsaw's arc (spoilers in the box below):
  5. To Jimmy, AND @Piecemeal, @Captain Powerhouse, @Faultline, @Number Six and many others, and every one of our Homecoming volunteers and play testers, the work you and everyone has been doing over the past year on this game is immensely appreciated. THANK YOU!
  6. And even the state of pvp that you described (def vs acc/to-hit & dmg) is really one sided thanks to the diminishing return curve of defense in PvP and the absolute insanity of damage procs. Damage is king.
  7. I think I played on Triumph primarily, but I had some alts on Victory IIRC. Glacier Peak was my main on Live and I recreated him here on HC. Great costumes! Ethergreen looks awesome.
  8. Here is some advice: your badger should be the AT/powerset that you enjoy the most because you will be spending a lot of time on it getting to 1531.
  9. As long as the RAM is compatible, I don't see any issue. As for the CPU reasoning, yeah that is fair. I look at getting between 5-8 years of computation out of my CPU. Case (and case fans) choice is fine. PC cases rarely determine the build either way (unless you're going small form factor (SFX)). Ideally, if you're going to be staring at the case for the next few years, you get something that is not hideous. It looks like you picked a good looking and affordable case.
  10. This is great data to chew on, though I would hesitate to draw any conclusions past what your methodology intended. A base line is an important place to start, so if other folks think your methodology is not accurate, perhaps they will supply their own data and testing procedures which can be replicated by other players to determine their validity. Either way, great post.
  11. Nice! I remember you had a cool original costume for your namesake on live, did you recreate it on HC?
  12. This is my current system: I've been running this game at around high settings, getting between 10 and 144 fps. Full MSRP at time of purchase ~$1500, plus add-ons/upgrades ~$750. System Specs: Case: Corsair Carbide 275R Mainboard: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 CPU: Intel i7-8700K CPU Cooling: Corsair HYDRO SERIES H150i PRO RGB 360MM AIO Hard Drives: Corsair Force MP500 120 GB M.2-2280 NVME SSD & Western Digital Black 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME SSD Western Digital 1TB SN750 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD with Heatsink - Gen3 PCIe Memory: Corsair Vengeance LED 32 GB (4 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL16 Memory GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 8 GB GAMING X 8G Video Card Case Fans: Corsair ML 120MM x6 Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold Peripherals Monitors: (Left) LG 25UM56-P 25.0" 2560x1080 60 Hz Monitor (Center) Acer Predator Gaming Z321QU bmiphzx Curved 31.5" WQHD (1440p x 144hz) Mouse: PWNAGE Ultra Custom Ergo Wireless Gaming Mouse Keyboard: ANNE PRO 2, 60% Wired/Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (Gateron Brown Switch/Black Case) Monitor Arm: WALI Premium Single LCD Monitor Desk Mount Fully Adjustable Gas Spring Stand.
  13. A few things: 1. Don't forget RAM. 16 GBs is the sweet spot right now for capacity. Specific CAS timing, latency, and frequency speed will be dependent on your CPU selection, which leads me in to my next point; 2. Overkill on the CPU for what your stated use case is. You can get a 4 or 6 core CPU for half the price from either AMD or Intel that will run fine for your stated use case. 3. Great selection on a GPU, but it's not likely going to be easy to acquire any time soon. Same goes for the comparative GPU from AMD. Something to keep in mind. 4. You're gonna need a bigger SSD. 256GBs is going to drop to 200GBs instantly once you've installed your operating system. Look for a 1TB if you plan on doing anything else besides playing a handful of games. 5. The motherboard isn't wifi capable out of the box, so you'll need to either plug in an ethernet cable or purchase a wireless network PCI-E card in order to connect to the internet. Lastly, I'm assuming you already have case fans, a computer monitor and peripherals (mouse, keyboard, wi-fi adapter, etc.).
  14. I remember thinking the same thing as the OP way back in 2005(?) when I saw the text for the badge.
  15. Genuinely impressed with those map images @Aberrant!
  16. The OP didn't like the response received from the devs in the beta feedback section so now we're seeing it posted in another location for drama. In before people starting blaming PvP for unrelated power changes... oh wait dang too slow.
  17. With the advent of Lord Schweinzer and Agent Hassell, I don't think this can be something where merits are awarded. If a bank mission can be farmed a dozen times in less than an hour, anything more than 1 merit would be overcompensation in my opinion.
  18. Great find @Doctor Megalomaniac, your find could potentially be better suited if it was posted in the Report Zone Geometry Errors Here! thread. Including the circumstance (as you did), the /loc, and the /whereami would also assist our volunteers in addressing this error. I appreciate you bringing up Peregrine Island geometry errors! It has reminded me of the screenshot cache of my finds that I forgot to upload. 😀
  19. Great feedback @SpectralPhantom, I second the point you made about map size. I didn't provide feedback back on this when I did my initial testing of spawns (mostly because I was solo, but using multiple accounts), but now that I see other players mention it I think it is important to note my concurrence. Large maps certainly force a different 8v8 playstyle (as you point out with the Eden arena map), such that spawn location becomes central to affecting the outcome of match due to the proximity of the ongoing spikes. The larger a map gets, the longer it could potentially take for players to get back in to the fight. Conversely, to any organized PvP teams out there: perhaps these larger maps would benefit teams who use team teleport related powers to assemble/buff? Does Team TP work before the timer ends?
  20. When Capes and Auras were cause for awe.
  21. In the past Arena was Issue 4 and Zones were Issue 6. Do you mean on Homecoming?
  22. Hamidon inspired/storied Epic for Gold side seems fitting to me. It could make sense lore wise and offer a unique reason to play gold side (post magisterium story line) where hamidon of Praetoria isn't as evil as Cole made it out to be. Edit: I'll take it a step further and suggest that a newly Hamidon themed epic AT include three "stances" which offer benefits similar to each yellow, blue, and green mito. Add a touch of unresistable damage perhaps...
