Power Armor (ranged damage set)
Chance Jackson replied to Purrfekshawn's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I've been wanting the heavy assault backpack & its macross missile massacre powers since live Also the heavy assault would make for a fine epic AT for gold side -

Who are some "energy melee" characters?
Chance Jackson replied to Menelruin's topic in General Discussion
As for focusing energy into a fist & hitting enemies with it, any sufficiently trained Nen user in Hunter X Hunter can use "Gyo" or "Ko" to shroud any part of their body including fists & feet with "Aura" to increase their striking force this is not a strength increase & using "Aura" against a non Nen user in any capacity will have profound effects on them that i'd rather not spoil I feel like a Green Lantern resorting to powered fisticuffs should count too. -
The original dev team had to nerf bonfire after they released the first KB to KD that should tell you everything you need to know

Are Player Defenses too high
Chance Jackson replied to Hardboiled Hero's topic in General Discussion
No Nerfs please As for adding additional challenge to those that demand it, design Mercenarial NPC groups with abusive power combinations. Make it so their members can crash any mission, in several ways to provide additional challenges; if they cause a team wipe their conditions for victory are met they collect their fee from the Client NPC & bounce *players must opt into fighting this group They should be able to drop in on players without warning when players are already engaged with the main NPC group of the mission who I'll call the "Client NPCs". The formations & tactics they utilize can vary in a number of ways: Main Threats -The Anti-Team: up to 8 Bosses designed to complement each other, counter the Player Team's ATs & Boost Client NPCs -Pompous Bastard/s: An AV or 3 with an Attack set & buff/debuff powersets that complement each other & boost the Client NPCs they should come across as very haughty & dismissive & have the power to back that up Secondary Threat/s -The Apex Predator: An EB that attacks players who lag behind or break off from the main team to go Solo groups or Stealth the mission or whatever. If successful in taking out their target the retreat into the shadows waiting to strike the next target when the situation presents itself, should be untauntable, should prioritize squishes especially force multipliers if for some reason it is fighting the whole team (like if the attacked uses Assemble The Team) I'm thinking players should only have to face one of these challenges on top of facing the Client NPCs per mission that they appear in. The members of this group are soldiers of fortune they're not true believers, they're there to be paid well If members of this group are close to defeat(or defeated outright) they retreat saying "your bounty is not worth the trouble" & players gain rewards in step with the additional difficulty -
Out of my 40+ toons I only have 5 level 50s all of which are should be all T4 with their main slots, all are heroes or greys: Liege Cheetatron X - Bots/Traps/Mu a carry over from live in which this was the the third toon in my "Cheetatron" series & the one i'm happiest with, it was the first combo I ever used that was able to solo an even level AV/Hero & the only one I had done that on during Live Main enemies: High Tech Societies/Cabals Envoy of The Heavens - Time/Sonic/Soul less a heavy hitter and more of an amazing force multiplier, I also had this combo on live but the game sunsetted before i got to incarnate the toon Main enemies: Those that abuse Magics Hyori - StJ/Nin/Mu Scrapper it punches NPCs in the face real good & has resistances & tools that make soloing Psi AVs & others quite manageable Main enemies: Psionic Villains, & Underworld Organizations Slayer of Monsters - TW/Rad/Soul Scrapper i think this is an underrated combination, great resistances, absorb combined with lots of Melee def from TW allowing you to pursue Ranged & AOE Def through IOs while everyone goes gaga for TW/Bio Main enemies: Banished Pantheon & Supernatural Monsters Fugitive Hunter - Psi/Dark/Soul Brute I intended for this toon to more or less be in lock step with Hyori but this ended up the last of these to get to 50 but the one I ended up playing the most, I really loved Soloing the Praetorian AVs in Maria's arc Main enemies: Inter-dimensional threats Lately I have been playing my lowbies, bringing up the next class of future 50s

Player Character Signature powers
Chance Jackson replied to Chance Jackson's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I don't have all or even many of the answers but I thought of many of the concerns you pose & here's what I've been thinking Throw signature powers under the heading experimental & leave it there; this an all volunteer non-profit effort disenfranchisement isn't really make or break & peeps should consider it especially subject to change from the get go I'd say the signature power should be respec-able every 24-48 hours real time When the points system gets nerfed & a previously created power now has more points than is allowed it becomes greyed out ala exemplaring until you modify it to be within current allowances which may incentivize not using up all your points when creating a power I know that is a drop in the bucket compared to all the questions posed but one thing I have been struggling with is should the system work like HxH's Nen system where creating an ability within one's strengths is the most potent thus incentivized or should the opposite be incentivized to encourage branching out? Maybe that is better left for a more advanced future version -
New animations for Fighting pool powers.
Chance Jackson replied to radiantheroX's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'd also like to add jump kick, flurry & air superiority animations to the discussion or simply allowing the fighting pool to have access to clones of those powers- 1 reply

Player Character Signature powers
Chance Jackson replied to Chance Jackson's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
All great points but in order to limit the scale of balance considerations my proposal does not offer the possibility of AoEs outside of 0 degree cones I'd also like it to be set up so that your AT affects the cost of the aspects you are adding -
Depends on the character but in addition to last hit chance, I like to monitor the the def positions on positional toons or types on typed def toons, various unpaired dmg resistances, hold protection for toons with click protection for mez, dmg bonus & if I have a spot free for it I'll monitor recharge as well The why is just to monitor various aspects crucial to survival & effectiveness for ex. if my Def &/or Res get floored I'll counter with the appropriate insp, rune of protection or use barrier etc

Player Character Signature powers
Chance Jackson replied to Chance Jackson's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If they were to make it slotable they would probably have to spend a lot more time on the system which is fine but we'd also need them to give us more slots I'm not sure how easy that would be -
Build up and Melee Set Themes.
Chance Jackson replied to ryuplaneswalker's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I like your iajutsu idea but I also like pure build ups and at that I like them more than the quasi build ups like what StJ gets Something I have thought for awhile is that melee weapon sets should get bonus dmg on the first attack right after unholstering a weapon in the same vein as iajutsu(kind of) -

P2W Option: Reject White Salvage Drops
Chance Jackson replied to Zeraphia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Only sell them when you're up to 100-130 salvage & dump each type at 10 at a time -
Player created powers were a popular idea on the official forums back in the day & I would still love to see the idea be fulfilled. The way I imagine it working is at first players would only be allowed to create attacks as those are easier from a balance perspective, more fun & limiting the initial scale of such a system would making easier to develop & result in quicker delivery. Ideally you would be able to create 1 ranged attack + 1 melee attack & using a point system to choose traits like the dmg type, range, inherent accuracy, autohit, secondary effects, 0 degree cone & end cost. As for visuals, I think the player should be given wide latitude to use any elements of preexisting attack's if those elements are already decoupled from each other like: -Animation & sounds ex. knock out blow -Special effects ex. Em's pom poms of doom on one or both fists -Hit visual effect ex. Crushing Uppercut -Projectiles if applicable ex. Rune of Warding -Summonable Pseudo pet to launch the attack from if desired along with a warm charge up &/or cool down animation selected from emotes like Kata, buffs like armors etc Since you wouldn't be able to slot these powers I think they should be powerful from the get go while also accepting Alpha Slot, Interface Slot & global bonuses ignoring Fury and possibly recharge aiming for a 30 sec recharge on said power. *I have no idea what is or isn't decoupled & if these things aren't decoupled already it would probably be too difficult (or impossible) for the homecoming crew to decouple them so that they can be grabbed a la cart
