  1. No, it was like that since day one. You need every exploration badge for one zone (which also grants an accolade and 5 merits) to unlock the LRT. Then you need just ONE badge per zone to add that zone to the available destinations. (Which Apparition just said. 🙂 )
  2. The Fandom site is problematic. On two occasions (that I know of) their ads hosted malware. Also, they get some of their content by scraping from other sites without their permission. Their CoH content was lifted from ParagonWiki.com. Their reputation got so bad, they changed the name (used to be Wikia). And, I would not necessarily suggest using ParagonWiki since it preserves information about the game as it was at the time of shutdown. Your best option is https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Main_Page This site 1) started with content from ParagonWiki WITH their permission and, 2) is being updated to reflect the status of the game on the Homecoming servers.
  3. Fair point. I don't have any spinning rust but went with this case to accommodate a large graphics card and an oversized HSF. I have a 500GB NVMe SSD for everything BUT games and a 2TB SATA SSD for my games.
  4. I challenge your concept of reality!!! Not really, but that's just such a great phrase. 🙂
  5. I have the Meshify and it's not huge. It's smaller than my last case, which was an Antec 900. I think the Meshify looks nicer and has better cable management.
  6. The reason is clear if we change the phrasing slightly. "..and the reason for removing this exploit?" Because that's what it was - an exploit. Not a major one, to be sure. But absolutely avoiding an intended game mechanic.
  7. Not necessarily. Some task forces spawn at the maximum level regardless of the leader level. I believe you called this a bug earlier in this thread, but it is not. It is by design and working as intended so don't expect it to change.
  8. I believe the default population cap for most zones is 50 and Kings Row is currently set to 20.
  9. You've voluntarily taken it upon yourself to provide a resource for community. This is commendable. No need to apologize for not updating as often as you might think you should. 🙂
  10. Well, if we're rounding to the nearest integer - then zero. I respecced my main character exactly once. Most of my characters never do a respec. I would estimate that I respec about 1 out of 4 characters at some point. The most recent respec I did was due to the devs changing powers around - I had a character with Recall Friend AND Teleport Enemy, which were combined into one power.
  11. Well, my thinking was go big or go home. So I made a sonic/sonic defender. He's currently level 40 and I enjoy playing him on teams or solo.
  12. On the items highlighted red: 1. I think you mean Ryzen. 2. I know, right? What's with all the LEDs? My memory, video card and PSU fan all have LEDs.
  13. I would suggest you also post in the Reunion section of the forums. The odds are that any particular player doesn't visit the forums. However, many of those who are particularly active and/or run events do visit the forums and they might know the people you're looking for.
  14. Definitely. I would conclude that each of these games had one particular 'nerf' that offended him personally. As a result, one of two things is happening: 1) He's spouting BS to badmouth games that 'betrayed' him. 2) His memory of the games is distorted by the singular outrage that ruined it forever.
  15. Points for spelling Olive Oyl correctly, but the villain's name is Bluto. 🙂
  16. And Citadel is always the example. 😛 Back on live, someone was recruiting for a Citadel TF. I wasn't interested and paid no attention to the broadcast. They sent me a tell asking if I wanted to do the Citadel TF. I said, "No thanks." They then proceeded to send a tell informing me that, as a player in an MMO, it was my obligation to team with people.
  17. Well, I could repost one that I took to prove the number of merits you could hold is not 9999 and is, in fact, an even 10,000. This would support my statement about having close to 30,000 merits since I have a third of that just on one character. 🙂
  18. It's all relative. Back in the day, when the game was live, I was teaming with someone and they hit 50 with their first character on Infinity. They said they were going to move some inf over from Freedom to do their build. I asked how much that would be. They said they had a total of 100 million on Freedom, so would bring over about half. I opened a trading window and offered them 100 million inf. They asked, "Are you sure?" "I'm sure. That's 5% of what I have just on this character." Back in the day, I had a spreadsheet of my characters with how much inf each one had. This wasn't so I could get the money when I needed it. It was so I would see which characters had room to hold more. Back then, I farmed PvP recipes, worked the AH, had a fire/kin controller and engaged in pretty much every method to generate funds. Of course, back then, this was the only online game I played. When it shut down, I branched out and now I play a bunch of different games so I don't spend so much time raising pointless amounts of money in this one. My total inf across all characters now is somewhere between 500 and 750 million just from playing. I also have close to 30,000 reward merits so I don't spend inf on a lot of things. "But if you used the merits to get converters and sold those, you would save inf." "Why should I even bother with that extra step when I have tens of thousands of merits?"
  19. Any enhancement provides the enhancement at all levels. A level 50 IO from a set provides exactly the same benefit as a level 50 common IO and scales exactly the same. Only the set bonus will 'cut out' if you exemplar below level 47 (for a level 50 set piece).
  20. Signature Story Arcs are now available in the "Story Arcs" tab of the Looking For Group window Very nice. Not a big deal, to be sure, but a nice addition.
  21. Only two? I have two NOW, that I remade from live. Back then, I had . . . four, I think.
  22. The game will only allow you to use one at a time. You used to need just two. Then the devs fixed the BP Lore pets so now the leaders ask you to bring three. The Banished Pantheon are still the highest DPS Lore pets but they're not broken any more. 1. Run when the game announces the 'crackle'. And don't run back too soon. 2. Stay behind him. His 'beams sweep the area in front of him', or whatever it says, is pretty nasty also. Being melee is not necessarily a problem. I got the badge on my scrapper easily enough. Also, HOPEFULLY the league has multiple people with Kinetics so you need to be close enough for Fulcrum Shift. Standard instructions on Everlasting for Really Hard Way runs (which my girlfriend runs every Saturday): Be at least tier 3 in every incarnate power, tier 4 preferred. For sure, if you're not level 53 GTFO. Bring 3 ultimates. Bring a similar number of tier 4 team reds (don't recall the inspiration name). Bring 3 Impenetrable Imbuement (team orange/purple insp). Some of the team acc/dmg insps would also be nice. Go to the Pay to Win vendor and get at least the one hour damage buff (the other two are nice, but not required). I won't go into the tactics since you said there is already good leadership for the runs. Back in the day, when the game was live, it was REALLY hard. Our standard tactic on Infinity was to start with TWO ENTIRE TEAMS OF CORRUPTERS. This was becuase Tyrant's damage resistance goes up as his HP go down. This was countered by Scourge doing more and more damage as his HP go down. Nowadays, we can do it with no AT requirements. Having said that, if you want to be super helpful for the attempts, make a character specifically for that trial (like I did). I made a beam rifle/kinetics corr and selected every power and every incarnate power with an eye toward that one iTrial.
  23. There's your problem right there. I hate that TF. I run it once per character for the accolade and never again.
  24. hmm.... Was that the bookworm played by Burgess Meredith? Good episode.
