No, the poster said very plainly that they were AFK. So the actual situation appeared to be two accounts on the same IP address with one account being completely inactive for an unknown period of time.

Ideally, I think you'd want a damage dealer who can hold aggro and a strong debuffer. That's where I'd go if I were picking a duo for the task. Having said that, it's REALLY not hard. I duoed MoITF (successfully) with my BS/regen scrapper and my girlfriend's peacebringer.

Once I get past Synapse, I run everything at +1 because the low level content is pretty easy and most people will be level-shifted for the high level content. The only exception is the Katie Hannon TF because that one cranks up the AV already.

My girlfriend and I built new systems in November and did not get optical drives for them. I downloaded Win10 on my previous system and put it on a USB drive for installation.

I find them super useful with just a one-tine effort. I have a default list of keybinds that I load for every character when I create them. One of the keybinds tries to access various bases - my own if I'm on Everlasting or a travel hub if I'm on Indomitable or Excelsior. I just string together the commands to enter all three and the relevant one will activate - with a single key press.

One of the Civilization games had a similar bug. Each NPC leader had a hostility rating. Gandhi's was the lowest possible at 1. If you had a Democratic government, all other leaders were slightly less hostile, with 2 being subtracted from their reaction rating. This rolled Gandhi over to 255 and made him more hostile/violent than Genghis Khan.

I gave it a shot. I bought CoV when it was first released and started doing the same thing I did on blue - take every AT to 50 at least once. So I took multiple characters to 50 on red before we got side switching. And I was never really excited about it. When we got side switching, my redside play time dropped dramatically. I'm on the HC Discord for the text chat only. I don't like getting on voice chat with total strangers. I need to have at least some connection to people to want to talk to them. So I'm on multiple Discords for supergroups and global channels. Have you ever seen the video where Lord British explains how the players in Ultima Online destroyed their carefully crafted virtual ecology? He characterized them as a swarm of ants killing everything in sight.

I have two comments: 1) I played this game for years on DSL and I'm guessing it would work fine on dial-up as long as you steer clear of content like iTrials and Hami raids. 2) Don't forget the name release policy. It is not currently in effect, but they said they may put it into practice at any time with 30 days warning. If you have any characters in the 6-20 level range that you don't want to lose their name, you'd have to log in to them at least every 90 days - *IF* the policy is implemented. This would be announced on the forums, so stay in touch! 🙂

That's right. We're talking about the whole player base and MANY people don't like playing the bad guy. Frankly, it's ridiculous to dismiss that reason. It's a matter of personal preference and 100% valid. And talking about the amount of content is nonsensical because everyone in the game can access all of the content. Talking about amount of content makes sense when talking about two different games. This is all one game.

Yes, but this entire idea is non-starter for anyone who regularly runs lower level content on their 50's (which I do). My goal is to have my characters completely functional and effective WITHOUT incarnate powers. I then select incarnate powers based on the character running level 50 content, not to deal with existing build problems.

I think it's underpopulated for one simple reason. The villain content is newer than much of the blue content and has better mechanics and design. It's just better content but it's less popular because a lot of people don't like playing the bad guy. I don't think the devs should be trying to incentivize people to play content that they personally find distasteful. The rewards should be balanced uniformly and people can decide on their own what content they prefer. If that leaves redside a ghost town, then so be it. We shouldn't be pressuring people to play content they would normally choose to avoid.

I am doubtful about Atlas Park. I can tell you with certainty that characters in Atlas Park will normally show 50+1 because I just checked. Maybe someone who is on an iTrial league with people already on the trial map will show as +3? I'm skeptical of this, but who knows. Ouroboros: 50+3 Echo Plaza: 50+3 Atlas Park: 50+1 All checked by me just now. I didn't bother checking Pocket D because I would guess it works like Ouroboros so no surprise. I also didn't bother checking the Hive because it takes longer to get there. Edit: Okay, I went and checked Pocket D to be sure and it shows 50+3. Also, if there's any confusion, I was checking *BOTH* the Level Shift combat attribute *AND* the information displayed to other players when they target a character. I did not check The Hive because I don't have a character high enough level to get in on my second account.

There's a way to do this. I saw a demonstration years ago. You plug some kind of doohickey into an outlet and then go to the circuit box with a sensor that can pick up the signal in the wire without having to connect anything or expose any wires at the box.

Seems like both the boat to Striga and the boat to Peregrine Island were called 'Ferry". Here's a map from 2010 which show both marked with an F for Ferry. Edit: A response with corroborating evidence in just 22 minutes!

This. That is the correct channel name (don't forget the S at the end) and there is stuff going on all the time. The channel MotD will tell you what high level content is scheduled each day. A typical week day has a Master run for a TF that caps at level 50 (Lady Grey, Kahn, Recluse, etc), followed by two incarnate trials going for badges. There's also a bunch of Hami raids and additional fast iTrials (BAF or Lambda) when things go fast enough to leave time in the schedule.

I'll second that. On characters where I'm trying to max out recharge I'll get the Concealment pool and Maneuvers in Leadership.

It's spelled 'expletive'. 🙂 I was lucky enough to live in NY City so I have seen Broadway shows, operas at the Metropolitan Opera House, various musical performances at Lincoln Center, etc. Now I live near Boston and have seen a decent production of Carmen since moving here. 🙂
