Yep. I'm on Everlasting and I can tell you the TF channel posts a schedule each day. The first thing is a Hami raid at 7PM EST (which is midnight your time - other times of year it could be 11PM or 1AM). Next on today's schedule for 7:30 to 10 is Master of Miss Liberty TF, Dilemma Diabolique - all badges, Magisterium - all badges. Those will all get finished within an hour or 1-1/2 hours and then it will be BAF and Lambda until the Hami raid at 10. So, clearly, you need to completely rearrange your life and sleep schedule. That's the only reasonable solution.

First task, do Mender Ramiel's arc. It unlocks the Alpha incarnate slot NOW so all future XP can go toward unlocking the next slots. I always do that immediately after training to 50. On a blaster, I would recommend you handle the arc the way I do on any 'squishy' - ask a friend to bring a tank. If you're on Everlasting, I can bring a tank to help you out. Regarding IO's, before you spend a single inf, pause and think. You've played the character to 50. What aspect of the build falls short? What do you find annoying? Do you run out of END? Do you miss too often? Do you need more recharge? Even an inexpensive build can make a huge difference. My personal example of this - getting my invuln tank over 370% regen bonus. Regeneration is usually the first set bonus and a lot of the sets are cheap. I 'frankenslotted' bits and pieces of different sets. I'm pretty sure it cost me less than 40 million if you leave out the Numina and Regenerative Tissue uniques (which only give him 45%). And, as multiple people have pointed out, there is no hurry on slotting IO's. Your build worked well enough to get to 50; it's good enough to keep playing while you plan. Focus on slotting your Alpha incarnate power. Figure out which power you want. A lot of blasters go for extra damage, but if you've been wheezing for the past 20 levels, maybe you want end reduction. My advice is use IO's to fix any 'problems' and then go with the damage. For max damage, you want Musculature, on the left side of the power tree. You'll want to get your Alpha slot to tier 3 ASAP because that gives you a 'level shift' and effectively makes you level 51. This will make hard content easier and/or let you turn the difficulty up a level to increase your inf gains. Run some incarnate trials. The servers I play on run multiple trials every single night and there are typically a few runs of the 'starter' ones - the Behavior Adjustment Facility (the BAF) and Lambda Sector. The only requirement for those is that you are level 50.

How do you run... Mender Ramiel's Honoree mission?
Ironblade replied to Greycat's topic in General Discussion
On my one scrapper, many tanks and any defender or controller with strong debuffs (like my earth/rad troller), I solo it without any prep work. I clear every enemy possible before touching the debris pile. Then I charge in, take out the portals, take out Holtz and then the Honoree. On squishier characters (my empathy defender, blasters, etc), I do ONE critical piece of prep work. I ask my girlfriend to bring a tank. 🙂 -
Hard TFs, and +4s, and newer players. Oh crap
Ironblade replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
Yep. Every single one of my characters gets a Shivan Shard and Vanguard HVAS as soon as possible. That would weed out most of my characters. 😛 It can be, but I don't use it that way either, generally. You never know (especially with PUGs) when someone will faceplant and lead to other deaths and then you really need Howling Twilight to be available. Filthy casuals everywhere! Go purple your warshade. -
Ranged Damage Dealer!!! Suggestions / Feedback / Heckling
Ironblade replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I'm not counting anything. I used Google and found a bunch of tables and spreadsheets that said Fire was best for AoE damage and Beam Rifle was best for single target. I surely don't care enough to do my own analysis of the blaster sets. -
Ranged Damage Dealer!!! Suggestions / Feedback / Heckling
Ironblade replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
My understanding is that Fire is king of damage when you have multiple targets, but Beam Rifle is number one for single target damage. Hence, when I made a character specifically for assisting with 'Really Hard Way' badge runs of the Magisterium, I went with a beam rifle / kinetics corr. Beam rifle for damage output. Corrupter for the scourge damage as Tyrant's HP go down (and his resistance goes up). Kinetics to crank up the team/league damage. It's a really effective combination for teams. Probably not the best for soloing since only some of your secondary powers can affect yourself, but good enough for me. -
I have to agree. They've always done it. They're stalkers.
-
At least it's longer than it used to be. Once upon a time, I wanted to make HandToHand Wombat and the limit was 16 characters. I ended up going with Unarmed Wombat.

Definitely. The Fandom site gets their content by lifting it from other sites without permission and doesn't properly vet their ads (and ended up spreading malware twice that I know of). The ParagonWiki site is 'frozen in time' and reflects the state of the game at the time of shutdown. It's a historical reference. The Homecoming Wiki started with the ParagonWiki content (with their permission) and is being updated to reflect the current status of the game as it exists on the HC servers.

20. I was curious so I just logged in to check.

I would be opposed to splitting it into two parts. As for revamping it, I would wonder how long a revamp takes compared to creating a new TF from scratch. If it's not a major difference, I would prefer new content rather than revamping old content.

His last name was Callahan. And, for anyone who doesn't see the connection, the Westbrush name is derived from the actor who played him, Clint Eastwood.
-
Sounds like a plan. Most of my characters are on Everlasting, but I have one 50 each on Excelsior and Indomitable.

Those are useful. My girlfriend's computer desk came with those built in.

With envenomed daggers, how valuable is Lingering Radiation?
Ironblade replied to TaxibotJoe's topic in General Discussion
Pretty slim odds of that many people having the daggers. I have only ever bought the envenomed daggers on ONE character (my main, who solos a lot of stuff). No one else carries any. Ever. -
Do you recall the data analysis the devs did regarding players and characters last year? It included the following line: "Because of the prevalence of Fiery Aura Brutes, we have included an additional graph for each category which excludes Brutes with Fiery Aura." I have a fire/fire brute but spines/fire seems to be very popular.

Exploration Tips and the return of "slow play"
Ironblade replied to cranebump's topic in General Discussion
Pretty sure it's 8. They were normalized to all have 8 exploration badges except a few exceptions like Pocket D, Kallisti Wharf, Ouroboros. -
No, it was like that since day one. You need every exploration badge for one zone (which also grants an accolade and 5 merits) to unlock the LRT. Then you need just ONE badge per zone to add that zone to the available destinations. (Which Apparition just said. 🙂 )

The Fandom site is problematic. On two occasions (that I know of) their ads hosted malware. Also, they get some of their content by scraping from other sites without their permission. Their CoH content was lifted from ParagonWiki.com. Their reputation got so bad, they changed the name (used to be Wikia). And, I would not necessarily suggest using ParagonWiki since it preserves information about the game as it was at the time of shutdown. Your best option is https://hcwiki.cityofheroes.dev/wiki/Main_Page This site 1) started with content from ParagonWiki WITH their permission and, 2) is being updated to reflect the status of the game on the Homecoming servers.

Fair point. I don't have any spinning rust but went with this case to accommodate a large graphics card and an oversized HSF. I have a 500GB NVMe SSD for everything BUT games and a 2TB SATA SSD for my games.

Been wanting to say this for a while now...
Ironblade replied to KauaiJim's topic in General Discussion
I challenge your concept of reality!!! Not really, but that's just such a great phrase. 🙂 -
I have the Meshify and it's not huge. It's smaller than my last case, which was an Antec 900. I think the Meshify looks nicer and has better cable management.

Patch and "Rooting" Mechanics - Confused?
Ironblade replied to Quindorrian's topic in General Discussion
The reason is clear if we change the phrasing slightly. "..and the reason for removing this exploit?" Because that's what it was - an exploit. Not a major one, to be sure. But absolutely avoiding an intended game mechanic. -
Forming Teams :: is it too scary to lead/recuit?
Ironblade replied to UltraAlt's topic in General Discussion
Not necessarily. Some task forces spawn at the maximum level regardless of the leader level. I believe you called this a bug earlier in this thread, but it is not. It is by design and working as intended so don't expect it to change.
