  1. Any and all of the jet pack variants would be nice, now that you mention it.
  2. I believe there's a box you can tick under Options somewhere.
  3. I got that far, but there's not one that is labeled "slows" or something. Is it "Recharge" maybe?
  4. I have so far procced out Rad Therapy, if I enjoy that, I may have to go ahead and reselect for GZ as well. Nukes are fun! Also, getting to what ZemX said, how exactly do I check the slow resists, what's that called in Mids?
  5. Both solid suggestions, thank you both. I'm glad you got into the thinking behind the set, @ZemX, that helps me get my head round this project well. Playing this toon on the previous build I started this one from, I found Shred to be so narrow and shallow a cone that I felt like I was often poorly applying it, like I kept missing the masses of folks crowding around me looking for some hurt; maybe that was just me and some negative confirmation bias, so I will consider that. I was also thinking the whole build was a bit over-recovery'ed and had already dropped a bit of that, so I really appreciate your advice on that; Conserve Power is out in favor of Hasten. Was Super Speed selected just to mule that Slow Resist? I often skip travel powers in favor of cheap jetpacks and Ninja, Beast Run/Sprint. @Hyperstrike, do you know the Savage set well? Looking at the info on Hemorrhage, it didn't seem like it was worth much, but I'm probably missing something there, base don your slotting.
  6. I randomly rolled a new tanker and then tried to construct a build by cobbling together a couple of examples found on the forums and my own weird impulses (hello Jump Kick!). But I'm still a neophyte at tankers as well as both of these power sets, so this is probably pretty sad. My impression was the main build I started from (and sort of stuck to) was skipping a fair mount of late-occurring powers from both, and I have no idea if those were completely understandable skips or "what the hell were you thinking?!" skips. So, how workable does this seem for a tanker, for these power-set choices? I'm obviously sold on doing some oddball stuff with that Jump Kick and Laser Beam Eyes, but I'd also like to know if I'm nearly unplayably gimped or something. I'm not looking to squeeze out every possible single digit of crunched numbers, but I'd also to avoid constantly face-planting in front of a team ha ha. My general play style is teaming, and fairly easy-going, I don't sign up for crazy-hard Dr Aeons all the time or whatever; this build I was looking to be able to actually inflict some damage (hence the procs). I generally don't like to rely on Incarnate powers as crutches either as I often don't play toons much past 50 (not a farmer or door sitter, I like to level). That said, any suggestions for Incarnate powers would be helpful too. This also leaves out purple sets. Oh, also - I don't like to expend billions on one build do I tried to go cheap...ish... here. 7. If you're considering sending the Inf back, you were never red-side material to begin with. Serious answer: just keep it anyway, if that player can just drop that on any ol' person they run across, they're not going to miss it anyway.
  8. I mean, I bought a monthly pass you guys, c'mon!! This always seems to catch me too, every time I get there just in time to not get the blue hand until after the doors shut right in my face.
  9. It's not reality, it's speculation, just a step along that road to such a thing, maybe.
  10. Also worth a note, here, i think, that the MA section of these forums do get read if not frequently posted in. I haven't used them lots myself but anytime I have, the comment does get noticed (and usually responded to) as quickly as anywhere else. Non-farm uses of the AE is a niche to be sure, but it's not a dead niche, yet!
  11. I've only taken anything other than Scorpion Shield once, and I was underwhelmed by the blasts, but that was back on Live when I didn't have to much knowledge about what I was doing. Still it was nice having something for range attacks on my stalker. (Being something of a contrarian, I sort of try to avoid falling back on Scorp Shield to save every squishie toon build form the dreaded condition of "not at cap"; it feels like a boring crutch that I have to put up with rather than going for something more thematic perhaps, or at least to avoid repetition (same thing goes for fixing all your Endurance woes with an Incarnate power). So these days I often just don't, instead I do something like take all the shark-based powers from Leviathan for my Beats MM, who obviously doesn't have enough beasts to command to bite you yet.)
  12. I find more and more of my bios are trending towards this sort of thing, like "I dunno man, he's just some green lion-headed guy with a sword and like this big shield... thing. He fights crime ok?" 🙂
  13. If you mean super groups, then fair; if you mean bull pun-named characters, I still see lots of them. And that's no bull!
  14. My Bots/Emp MM might qualify, she just goes for a walk with the bots and they attack anyone who attacks her first. Or at least it works that way unless I start with Arcane Bolt or Pulse Rifle... but she does a heck of a lot of healing!
  15. But some of us like licking that bottom! Serious answer: I used to do it a lot when HC came back because my computer could now actually handle it, wheee! Then I got really bored of it because it is long and repetitive, and didn't have too many chances. Now I do when when I can because that's not too often. I tend to have support toons and I like the free cash I net from it, in moderation. I tend to run support and toons with a Rez, so that tends to keep me busy. It's not complete waste of time with a decent pay-off at the end, plus we get to take down a drop-ship after. Also? How often do you get to team with 48 of your closest friends? 😃 Also, allow me to note that there are people who play this game who farm. I see little difference in either activity being any less or more boring than the other, it's probably just a matter of perspective. Except there's no drop-ship in farming.
  16. I want to make a new toon, probably claws, called "TragedyOfClipping" now.
  17. Because it wasn't taken for a failure previously. It was allowed and seen as "not a problem." That's it. Sheesh. That's how I think, it's not rocket science believe me.
  18. Nope, we're going to retro-actively re-hair all of your toons, and any toon you make in the future WILL HAVE a manbun. Get used to it.
  19. I think it's the hit/miss quality of the power sin it, as others have said. Pretty much every guide I've ever looked at for it (and builds) were "take these three or four powers, don't waste any time with the rest." It can still play OK doing that, but who wants a power set with five wastes of time in it?
  20. If they broke the CDs getting them into your mail slot, I can't imagine how badly they mangled a modem trying to get it in there.
  21. Head shape is one thing, but what now, no allowed clipping unlike all the clipping I see already with stuff like the bubble helmet, and just about anything else you put on a toon's head? A certain amount of clipping has been allowed since day one.
  22. I only just picked up a Mighty for the first time a couple of days ago (I don't pursue Incarnates all that often, just sometimes), and I can imagine it is indeed.
