  1. What sort of resources do you need? If it furthers the cause of Redside is Best Side, I would be willing to contribute something.
  2. "Crowded market space." The execs don't care who came first; they care that if they try to put money in to a project which random viewers might say "that's a ripoff," no matter how incorrect or uneducated that observation may be, then the execs won't get their precious, precious return on investment. However, if the Witcher show does well enough or if a desperate-enough producer is given the pitch, even with things being "crowded," they'll probably jump on the perceived bootleg gravy-train. So I guess the answer is: Write to the author and recommend that they try to pitch their book series to a "lesser" producer.
  3. I thought that was going to be "Vamps just suck your blood, Warshades suck completely" or something like that.
  4. @Hyperstrike, did @Healix's image not work for you either?
  5. This was touched upon earlier in the thread, @Blackbird71, but the Devs have stated that the narrative reasoning behind this change (which is perhaps more of a flimsy justification, depending on your point of view) is that Mender Silos is opening recruitment of heroes at a speedier pace since the cat's out of the bag as far as trying to keep Ouroboros secret from the Midnighter's and the Dream Doctor. So, really, perhaps the focus should be on making sure that there is some Level 1 Content in Ouroboros now, so that those new inductees have something to do there other than just use it as a teleport hub. I know I would be VERY cool with there being less level-gated stuff in Ouroboros!
  6. @Faultline and @Jimmy were bothing speaking about a little something-something in the Beta boards to more organically introduce Badge location data as a part of gameplay: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/23372-focused-feedback-travel-updates-base-teleportation-long-range-teleporter-accolade-special-tp-powers/page/40/?tab=comments#comment-291526 (Caution: The above linked thread is a doozy! The specific post linked to is also not a promise; just an idea. Please bear in mind that @Faultline's idea may not come to fruition in any form.)
  7. @Jimmy, I know this particular topic is one that's probably a bit of a sore spot for people, but there's definitely a disconnect taking place which I -think- could be bridged with greater communication. You've mentioned "quality" as a barrier in the past and again here, but I think this whole dialogue could benefit from hearing from yourself or some other members of the Homecoming Team as to the details on this barrier from the Team's perspective. We've seen that some pieces are in the wrong places, and that there are some gaps, so without geometry fixes those pieces may never meet the Team's bar. And without the appropriate software tools, those fixes may never be possible. But is there some meeting in the middle that could be possible? Is there anything the community can do to help make some progress on this front? If the tools never become available, how long is the Team ready to wait until they're willing to make some concessions on their bar for the good of the community? Of course; time is a limited resource, and communication does take time, especially when trying to obtain levels of clarity that can meaningfully overcome confusion and ambiguity. And right now the Team is clearly focused on Issue 27. No complaints there. You have your priorities, and they're yours to make. But maybe you'll consider it worthwhile to take some time in the future and really talk with us on this matter. It's certainly something which members of this community are DEEPLY passionate about. Hell. It's even -the whole game- for some of us, and we would really like to see positive developments, or at least some forward-moving dialogues with the Team on the subject. I also understand the possibility that intellectual property ownership and non-disclosure may come in to play here. So, if nothing else, if you can comment on whether that's a part of the Team's barrier, that alone might help. Thanks for your time and consideration.
  8. Yup yup! https://forums.homecomingservers.com/topic/22755-weekly-discussion-70-t9s-part-2/
  9. Should totally be able to with a pseudopet. Basically just have it drop pseudopet puddles of its own which last 10 seconds each. It may get a little intensive if you have a whole League of Toxin Controllers all dropping their puddles in one place, but the Devs might be able to find a more efficient way to pull it off.
  10. Also, as an idea, Acid Slick could be really interesting if it does a small tick of stackable -Res every second, but the tick lasts ten seconds! So the longer the target stays in the puddle, the higher the -Res would be, up to x10.
  11. Or a specific mission where you get Fushionette and Lady Jane, and have to complete the mission without either of them getting defeated. Scratch that. It's called "Herding Cats," right? Mynx AND Bobcat. *sagenod*
  12. Would it be possible to up the range on the head-die-trigger radius, @Faultline, but amend a secondary trigger that the player had to be in range of a defeated tentacle within the last 30 minutes or so as well. This would help players who aren't able to make it to the head in time for the rest of the team tearing it apart, who may have contributed to one or more of the tentacles, without also just giving the badge to random passer-bys?
  13. Rather than getting the Tip from defeating random enemies, @Faultline; what if it was given to players when they rescued a civilian from thugs? I realize not every zone has that, and the encounter would either need to be added to those zones, or just do the random-thug version in those un'civilized zones, but I think it would be a great little bit of world-building to get something like an Exploration Badge location from a civie rather than a thug.
  14. And let's do be fair, you dodged a bullet there. Weiner Whistle is a MUCH BETTER name than all those others.
  15. Ignore everything after the first clip, and maybe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKdAtQuuMpQ will suit your needs?
  16. While I don't know what things look like from their side right now, it's certainly seems to my perspective that the Devs and GMs have been getting quite a workout lately on the forums. Keep on keeping on, you [insert appropriate and acceptable euphemistic personal title noun here]! Also; special thanks to @GM Miss. We should have thrown you a little party in honour of your past work, now that you're taking a break for a bit. Then again; it's not too late! Is there anything you'd like from us?
  17. I'm pretty sure it's just a twig. And yes. Yes you do.
  18. And I in Canada. There are some upsides and some downsides in that regard. For example, trichinosis in Canada is essentially non-existent compared to our southern neighbour. Meanwhile, when listing additives as ingredients on processed foods, there are some rather critically concerning ingredients in Canada which just get lumped under "artificial flavouring," which are at least given their scientific chemical names in the u.s. version of the packaging.
  19. Is that a quote from a Dev? Are they talking about proliferating Ninjitsu to Brutes and/or Tankers? If so, I'm not terribly sure what the issue may be, other than thematic. Some people don't think a Brute or Tanker should be "ninja-esque," given ninjas are stereotypically stealthy, while Brutes and Tankers are meant to draw aggro. . . . but then what about Cloak of Darkness and Energy Cloak, eh? Eh?
  20. Just did a little searching, and seems it was Haiti which was the place where the food shortage had caused people to resort to eating clay. And ends up that it's not being used a filler, but rather something on its own just to make the person feel full. As for additives in food products, yeah. I work in a kitchen. I could tell you some stories. The stuff people eat without knowing it . . . well, here's to hoping that world hunger problems are dealt with first and foremost, but also issues related to inedible by-products and ingredients gets dealt with as information becomes more widespread.
  21. Which reminds me . . . I've heard tell of a place in the world where food is so scarce that they use the otherwise abundant-to-the-area clay as a filler ingredient in their baking to help them feel full.
  22. No no no! We need more Petless Control Sets. Toxin Control looks beautiful just the way it is. I think "Choking Cloud" is already a name for a Power though. Perhaps "Asphyxiating Emission" instead?
  23. Hell yes, @_Kai_! My first experiences with Rogue Robots, Banished Pantheon, Nemesis, and Malta were all in Kings Row. Some high level players left their ambushes unattended, and I stumbled upon the remains. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
  24. I've had the timer run-down and re-enter behaviour on Live in the past. So at least that issue might be unrelated to the current Beta build.
