The Wiki's Slash Commands Have Been Updated!
AboveTheChemist replied to BlackSpectre's topic in General Discussion
Thanks again BlackSpectre for all the hard work! -

issue 27 Focused Feedback: Badges & Emotes
AboveTheChemist replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Found a minor typo in the description for the 'Traditionalist Foil' badge. The second-to-last word is incorrectly spelled 'Tradtionalist' (missing an i) -

day job Storm Palace Not Awarding Day Job Credit
AboveTheChemist replied to kwsapphire's topic in Bug Reports
You are correct in that villains cannot get there (no transportation has been added that I know of), and technically that particular language on the wiki isn't 100% correct. That first paragraph of wiki text is actually a template that is used by many badges on the wiki to keep from having to type/paste the same text over and over, and so that edits can be instantly proliferated to all pages that use the template. For the vast majority of the pages that use it, that text is 100% correct. There are probably a few outliers (such as this) where it isn't 100% correct, and a new (but similar) template would need to be created for those cases. -

Problems loading custom wdw files (game UI windows)
AboveTheChemist replied to Graegoyle's topic in Bug Reports
I was delayed a bit in testing but I tried loading several custom window files, both on live and on Beta, and saw no issues with any of them. -
It should definitely be edited to remove the word Command and one set of quotes (and the word Tooltip probably isn't necessary either, if you don't want a tooltip to display). And while I am not an expert on the powexec_location command, looking at the wiki entry for that command it looks like the location needs to either be specified as 'me' or as a direction and distance (0:15, for example, if you want it 15 feet in front of you), and not a combo of both. Try one of these depending on where you want the location to be, or modify the location as needed per the wiki instructions: /macro_image "BeastMastery_SummonDireWolves" "" "powexec_location me Summon Dire Wolf" /macro_image "BeastMastery_SummonDireWolves" "" "powexec_location 0:15 Summon Dire Wolf"

I want to level 1-50 with AE (no farming)
AboveTheChemist replied to Lyrium's topic in Mission Architect
The best place to look is probably the Compiled Dev Choice Awards thread, but there was a recent thread that discussed a similar subject that might have some other good suggestions for you. Good luck and have fun! -
Unfortunately I am going to be at a film festival all weekend (and watching Rashomon at that specific time). Hope everyone has fun though!

Mutation was the logical choice for Cerulean Cipher, but I cannot remember the last time I got a mutation DO/SO that wasn't at the end of an arc. I routinely sell trays full of Tech and/or Magic DOs and SOs, though! Good thing he finally leveled up enough to use level 25 IOs (although those are dropping more slowly than I had hoped). My CoH time has been skewed of late much more toward mod production than towards actual play time, but I hope to correct that once I am done updating my mods and/or when page 4 is finally out.

Problems loading custom wdw files (game UI windows)
AboveTheChemist replied to Graegoyle's topic in Bug Reports
As do I, which is why the topic interested me enough to want to delve a bit further. I keep pretty close eye on the forums (and somewhat less so on the Discord) and have not noticed any other reports of this (or similar) issues. -

Problems loading custom wdw files (game UI windows)
AboveTheChemist replied to Graegoyle's topic in Bug Reports
Good to hear! I don't see any file path issues that jump out at me, and the contents (as far as window names) of your .wdw file are identical to the ones I use. I'll still try loading one when I hop on tonight and see if I have any issues. -

Problems loading custom wdw files (game UI windows)
AboveTheChemist replied to Graegoyle's topic in Bug Reports
I use custom .wdw files myself but have not noticed any issues. I haven't tried loading one in a while, though. I'll be sure to give it a shot when I am in-game this evening to see if I notice any issues. I think that there were some non-used windows whose names could at one point be found in the .wdw file, but that were removed from that file in the past year or so. If your .wdw files are old, then perhaps it's one of those now-obsolete window names kicking around in the .wdw file that is causing the issue? That's a bit of a stab in the dark, though. Incidentally, BlackSpectre recently created a wiki page that quite nicely details the window names found in that .wdw file, if you want to investigate some of the names further. I wonder too if somehow your .wdw files are set to read-only somehow. If you don't mind sharing the full CoH install path (all the way back to the drive letter), that might help address that. -
Were you exemplared during the TF? You won't get enhancements from mobs if you are exemplared.

New Window Names Page at the Wiki... Suggestions?
AboveTheChemist replied to BlackSpectre's topic in General Discussion
Thank you for all the work, BlackSpectre. You and several other folks have put a lot of time and effort into the wiki over the recent months. It has not gone unnoticed and it is greatly appreciated. -
I am a tad unclear. You pinged me in another thread and clearly stated that the DLL file was on your computer, and here you state that it is not. I am going to assume it is the latter. It might be possible to download the file directly from Microsoft. I did a quick Google search of the filename and saw a few YouTube videos that addressed this specific issue. Beyond that, I'm afraid this issue is a bit out of my league. And I have nothing at all to do with OuroDev so I can't help you there either, sorry.
 -
OuroDev used to provide a compiled version of Piglet but I don't think that is the case anymore. The Philotic Knight, who has provided many great resources to this community, posted a thread a while back with a link to the OuroDev Piglet page as well as to a compiled version of Piglet that he hosts. Regarding texture editing, this OuroDev wiki page has some good info that might get you started. I have a decent amount of experience with texture modding, but the textures I mod are mostly the game minimaps which are a little different than the open world textures, which I don't have a lot of experience with.

Character costume can't remove Anarchy symbol
AboveTheChemist replied to Starhammer's topic in Help & Support
Are you in supergroup mode? If you go into SG mode it will put the SG symbol on your chest. I think you turn it on/off from the SG window (should be near your email window at the top of the chat tabs). -
There are three spawn points for the Paladin Construction event, and each can (and will) spawn their own independent Paladin. Meaning there can be as many as 3 Paladins up and loitering at the area in that screenshot, assuming no one prevented the Paladin construction. With regard to the simultaneous Paladin event message, this is something I saw regularly during the copious testing I did on Brainstorm when this event was re-instated there. I don't claim to know much about the inner workings of the game, but as near as I could tell the simultaneous messages were due to the fact that Kings Row hadn't had any visitors for a while, and the map had shut down. The Paladin Construction event timer kept going, though, and had triggered (in this case) two events. With no active zone to spawn in, the events sat queued until someone entered Kings Row and the map became active. I often see similar behavior in other zones with a GM on Brainstorm. Just the other night I went to Boomtown and Crey's Folly, and as soon as I entered each zone, Babbage and Jurassik (respectively) spawned.

Temporary / prestige powers name for binding
AboveTheChemist replied to kazrack35's topic in Help & Support
The power names are (top is temp power, bottom is P2W power): Temporary_Powers.Temporary_Powers.Goldbricker_Rocket_Pack Temporary_Powers.Temporary_Powers.Invention_Jet_Pack_Goldbricker To get the power name, head here (City of Data 2.0): https://cod.uberguy.net/html/index.html There is a search bar at the top to search for the power you want. Once you find it, click the link to the power page (the link under 'Power'). On that page, look along the top bar and click 'Toggle Raw Data' (looks like a stack of 3 blue pancakes). Scroll down and you'll see some text, and the full name is near the top of the raw text beside "full_name": -
There is a nearly two-year-old thread in this very subforum that contains the invite details you posted, that any forum user could access. So, that info has been publicly available for a long time, and I certainly don't think you have broken any rules!

				ATC's Badge List PopMenu
AboveTheChemist replied to AboveTheChemist's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
If this is the bind you have been using, then I don't think you have been using my popmenu (which is named BadgeSetList). You've likely been using this popmenu (which is named BadgeList), which was the inspiration/foundation of my popmenu when I spun off my own version a couple of years ago. If you'd prefer to use mine, the installation and usage instructions are in the top post of this thread. Either way is fine, as long as you are using the menu that suits you best (there are quite a few badge popmenus out there) and that the bind works again for you. -

				ATC's Badge List PopMenu
AboveTheChemist replied to AboveTheChemist's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I don't know of any reason it wouldn't work with Win11 or any other OS. If redoing the bind doesn't work: /bind F9 "popmenu BadgeSetList" Then I'd double-check the install location to make sure you put the menu file in the right place: <CoH Root Folder>\data\texts\English\menus -
For folks that want to run tests, remember that Brainstorm has mission/task completion tools in the freebies menu to help speed through the missions. They are under the 'Misc Commands' heading on the top level. You can copy one or more of your live server characters there to test using the forum beta copy tool.

Yes, and it is sometimes referred to as 'bucketing'. Set IO enhancements (and recipes) are bucketed/pooled by level. If you post a level 10 Bonesnap: Acc/Dam, it goes into the same bucket with all the other possible levels of Bonesnap: Acc/Dam, including attuned. So someone may buy your level 10 enhancement as a level 22, or as an attuned. Common IOs are not bucketed, and I don't think other enhancements like Hami-Os, DOs or SOs are either, but I could be mistaken. Salvage is bucketed by type (common, uncommon, rare). I can't recall offhand if anything else on the AH is bucketed, but it's entirely possible I am forgetting something.
