  1. As a supporting argument to this, the ability to have disposable minions/shield minions and not completely tank your end would greatly benefit secondaries with no real defensive capabilities like /Kin and /Storm. Of course the huge culprits of this problem are long recharge times and the ridiculous endurance costs where summoning minions still cost at max Endurance ED, around 10 endurance per power.
  2. For most of the sets though, T1 Henchmen's combined damage is the most of your DPS, so muling them is a terrible idea. If that was the original devs intention, MMs were doomed to fail at the start.
  3. The waste of slots is large enough that the smallest issue is you're down an entire IO set compared to any other AT. You also lose on stats like, accuracy, damage, endurance, and recharge for your pet powers. You could also use those slots to make an actual damaging attack from Epic or Patron pools (hey look you can do damage). You can even do what you dreamed of, finally putting stats on Gang War 😲. I don't understand the correlation between slots and recharge-intensive pets or bodyguard mode; but bodyguard mode also has big detriments against Attacking first, Supremacy's Line of Sight, AoE damage, and taunting, of which the taunt problem was covered in the first post and recharge-intensive pets aren't exclusive to MMs.
  4. I propose that the +Defense/Resist pet IOs should be removed for MMs and the stats should just be inherent to the henchmen as leveling and having to wait for more pets while you depend on your absolutely worthless MM attacks makes leveling not so easy alone. I will tell anyone that wants to disagree that pet IOs are currently a huge waste of slots they have clearly never played an MM before. And allowing us to be dumping them all into a MM attack is a terrible idea as you are now wasting 5 slots AND a power choice. Having to spend a 6 Slot tax in addition to the other taxes everyone else pays (+defense in resists, +resist in defense, LotG) is just unbalanced. I agree that MM's also definitely need a large boost on the damage of their Primary attack powers as in their current state, you're crippling yourself by taking them (except for Demons AoE knockdown -res whip being an outlier). This in effect turns us not into a Mastermind, but a Primary-less Corruptor with lots of pets and worse Healing, Debuffs, etc.. Pets that currently get much worse in Incarnate content than normal pets. I agree with the changes to the Mastermind Pet proc IOs, but I think we have to pacify everyone else and agree not to change the non-MM pet IOs for sake of every non-MM that uses them even if they don't help most pets much.
  5. Essence Drain may be lackluster, but as your only means of healing against an AV with no minion bodies left around, it's kinda necessary unless you don't plan on fighting AVs ever (which is kinda the point of playing Human-only). When it comes down to it though, neither of those choices should be last as they both need 4+ slots.
  6. Another option you could add to this is popmenus. I don't think I'm the only one that can't remember the hotkeys for each command and need a visual aid, so I'm providing a kind of template for anyone that needs to use it themselves. Example Demon Summoning popmenu with some possibly helpful comments. demons.mnu
  7. Why not fix the real problem instead and: Let us choose between 2 Secondary powers like we do for Primary powers.
  8. Sorry but Redlynne is wrong on this one. If you're not toggling between forms constantly, you're really not using Triform to its full extent. "Sticking with human form for awhile" is a sign that you just want to play a human-only instead. Toggles are almost pointless on a Triform except for +Res, +Def, etc. IOs in the resist/defense toggles which only requires 1 slot. Why? Because they waste a lot of time turning on toggles where you could be attacking or recovering and Orbiting simply doesn't do enough damage for the cost of staying in human form. Inky is the only exception where you can turn it on for a second and combine it with gravitic emanation to stun a boss.
  9. For me there's a file called options.txt and wdw.txt in my C:\CoH\ folder. I'm fairly sure wdw controls the UI, but it could be options too, idk. I see no other place it would be saving to and there's nothing hidden in appdata.
  10. 5 merits can earn you 1mil easy, but at the same point, looking for a cheap way to fix your end problem would probably be putting in 3 lvl 30 or 35 end enhancement IO's in Stamina and 2 or 3 in each power if you can fit it until you earn enough money that you can make your final build.
  11. The problem is entirely latency between communicating with the server and forms not queueing. Trays will swap as they don't need to communicate, so if you were trying to swap while another power is going and you're initiating during the call to or from the server for the last power, it won't work. It takes a long time of playing, but you'll eventually get used to it and be able to time when to change powers since it's usually only a 0.22 second delay between the server and power activation. You could also give it a delay in an external macro (like autohotkey) if you wanted.
  12. Certainly welcome to convince you that smoking in your house is fine because there are worse things in this world. 😁
  13. It looks like it would be around 135mil for everything, of course this is without the primary and Epic power pools slotted. No stalker ?
  14. This will give you ingame DPS probably best of anything. It uses your combat logs to track it and doesn't track everything sadly.
  15. My philosophy: You can either go mass recharge, damage, and cap F/C resist+defense OR use the build you have now which can do both at an ok pace and do other content than farming. Otherwise you have to build for other content almost entirely and disregard farming to be good at the other content. But I think @HelenCarnate managed to pull off a perfect balance somehow and while not SS/, is still probably the better person to ask here.
  16. Just letting you know now it will be pretty OK but not great at both, so understand that before you dump all that inf into it. It cost a lot of recharge and damage so its gonna be severely slower at farming. Keep the Kismet for +4, it keeps you at accuracy cap for everything, meanwhile taking it off will average you at about 80-85% accuracy per power and gain very little for it. You can take Agility Core and Ageless to help with your recharge. It's not Musculature, but it will help DPS still.
  17. Working father plays with his son. (479 BC)
  18. I certainly haven't rolled tons of Dark powerset characters to try and make a better Warshade, not at all... If I could make a Savage/Dark Brute with the Dwarf graphics that would be excellent.
  19. It depends what type of farming you're doing. If it's any map besides the space one and you don't reach damage cap (i.e. not solo), I'd say Carnies because the constant Forge is a better buff than the inconsistent damage from Banished Pantheon (consistently enough the rain will just stop after 1 or 2 hits because it was forgotten when the Continue-on-Death channeled power changes happened.) If you're on the space map (or some other small place with tons of groups) and the rain from BP can hit another group and keep pulling for you, then I'd say BP but again if you're not hitting damage cap, Carnies is barely less.
  20. Most Primaries really with EM. I like AR/EM myself. With Flamethrower and Buckshot at 75 range and most everything else 150+, it's pretty fun and barely in any danger. The damage typing isn't great, Dark with a heal and hold or Fire with ++DPS probably does everything better, but I like it. I reach 30 ranged DEF easily from IOs and pop a purple and barely get hit and the S/L resist helps when I do, so I prefer Resist type like Fire Shield, but not every build can I suppose. Arsenal Adams - Blaster (Assault Rifle).mxd
  21. You get: Ring of Fire - ST Char - ST Fire Blast - ST, Awfully named since we all understand a Blast should be AoE, so I understand the confusion. Melt Armor - AoE but no damage and only accepts 2 damage procs. Fire Ball - AoE So effectively only 1 AoE at the expense of 3 slots instead of 2 necessary.
  22. I agree with Sept that we could either use new Accurate Resist IOs or just remove Accuracy from Eclipse. It's not hard to hit 3-5 targets depending on build as it stands now so autohit wouldn't make it OP, but rather stop it from screwing you by RNG. Also I think the best change for the pets would be changing them into spawn 2 untouchable instead of a maximum of 4 that die easily.
  23. For a Dominator, Gravity's Dimension Shift is a really fun power that makes the best use of melee Assault sets like Energy, Stone, Savage, etc. You can use it to take away enemies that give the team difficulty (like removing the Kheldian-specific enemies or Sappers) and take them out yourself. Was it's original purpose for a "deal with these guys later" mechanic? Probably. But it's more fun to make it your own personal arena. Does a Dom get to really capitalize on Impact? No. No more than a controller does. But Thunderdome.
  24. Total Focus -> Bone Smasher Full Auto - Could use procs but its fine -1 slot in Hasten +1 slot in Bone Smasher for proc Beanbag -> Power Boost (Melt Armor + Energize + Cap Energy DEF 🤣) or Vengeance Sniper Rifle | -Fast Snipe +Apocalypse proc (you're already at 22% tohit with Kismet) Ageless -> Barrier I like Char instead of Melt Armor myself, but I also use Intuition Radial instead of Musculature. Depends on if you fear bosses or not.
  25. Using it for it's original purpose (+End), Dark Consumption will deal a lot less damage so it's reasonably balanced, consider the endurance requirements of Dark/Dark for example. In fact, Stalker doesn't even have Dark Consumption so this is completely wasted on them who could really utilize it's damage most.
