Empty at the moment. How about adding a stage with a rock band to it? Just change the sound file in there to a rockier thing. Move a contact or two into it?

 

Which leads me off into two tangents:

1. Guitar as titan weapon. Just that.

2. The rather more complicated option of "retiring" a character and have them as an NPC in the club. Sort of a lesser version of the memorial characters dotted around. Surely there's a way to load a costume onto an NPC frame like the general ones you get in the base builder?

3. Did I mention guitar as titan weapon?

I'd expect more of a DJ. But I'd love to have instrument players available for things like bases that are clubs and want a "house band."

Primarily on Everlasting. Squid afficionado. Former creator of Copypastas. General smartalec.

 

I tried to combine Circle and DE, but all I got were garden variety evil mages.

Alternate between the two, one day/night cycle could have a DJ & another day/night cycle could have a rock band; it could work the same way the dancers inside the cages in Pocket D periodically get swapped out.

 

It would also be great if we can get a door or portal connecting Paragon Dance Party & Pocket D.

I remember suggesting something like this back in Live. Constructing a tribute with the plaque of every toon that hit 50 for their server. Just a name and powerset, maybe, could be noted on the plaque. Alternatively, if possible, have all of that plus a short bio and maybe even the toon's headshot pic. 

 

I definitely wouldn't want this as a priority add and have no idea who much work it'd be but a cool idea (IMO). 🙂

Paragon Studios removed it from the game because it was replaced by Pocket D. Homecoming put it back in after the shutdown, probably for historical or nostalgic reasons. It's not supposed to have any actual purpose at this point. Imagine if they brought back issue 6 Stalkers (which were rightly reworked over time into the Stalkers we know today) as a separate AT, just so players could experience what they were like again; it would be silly to ask for buffs for them, because the AT as it'd exist with buffs would already be in the game.

Eh. Keep them separate. No real reason to link them. I like the different atmosphere.

That's comparing apples and all season radials. Putting NPCs into a social zone shouldn't bother you as much as this seems to.

I mean, Paragon Dance Party was never "removed" from the game anyway.   It just had its doors untethered for a time.  I had a character parked there back on Legacy who I would periodically log in to and check to see.

I also have this vague recollection that it was eventually re-opened on Legacy . . . but that might just be me conflating my memories of trying Icon when it first got released, and finding access there.

Just my opinion here - this is a very pervasive problem here on these forums.  It seems many people here have either lost or outright abandoned the ability to engage in discussion.  Anyone disagreeing with a certain point of view are vilified.  Not pointing out anyone specific here so please do not let that be taken as such.

 

As for the topic at hand, I agree with @Vanden -  Paragon Dance Party was replaced with Pocket D and the old map should be left alone.

I've noticed that some posters (not necessarily in this thread) engage with blatant terminology designed to get a rise out of others, some use passive/aggressive terminology to get a rise out of others. For the most part though what I see is people reading context into a simple sentence, which depending on the words used should convey neutral emotions. Often times what kicks off a spat is someone reading a comment viewed through their own emotions rather than in a neutral voice. Folks need to practice the neutral voice more often to avoid taking offense where no offense was given.

 

Regarding the topic at hand, I wouldn't mind seeing PDP updated. It's nice having meeting place options. I would also consider this a low priority though.
