Sky-Hawke: Rad/WP Brute

Alts galore. So...soooo many alts.

I have 200 odd Cupid's Crush sitting in my base inventory, and the vast majority of my runs were three-fers (for all the rewards)...

Less about alts than it being pretty darned easy to solo with support oriented MM's and support toons, and I kinda got hooked.

I was only interested in the merits. I ran it on 7 alts once, sometimes twice, a day for about a month.

It's interesting to see how many people will wait a fair amount of time to get on a team for something like this rather than just starting a team and doing it themselves.

I lost count after 300 or so runs.  47 complete sets, bunch of merits.

Hi, my name is Apogee, and I am an alt-aholic...

Eh…10 times, just about. MH Wilds is out and I’m taking a hiatus from CoH outside of CB testing.

I had 6 alts that I ran (all solo) a little over 20 times each, and another alt that I did 6-7 times, and ended up with ~130 Cupid's Crush enhancements. I did a few second/third runs for merits/prismatics but my main focus was on the enhancements. The most fun runs were with my support characters that could keep the heroes healed/buffed and let them do their thing.

Looks like I have 38 characters that got Officiate and while I do have the Pet on some, I know a few that did more than five runs each, so I'd say around 200 times.

And, unfortunately, Paragon City's building standards prevent them from constructing a home out of the stack of toasters they received as wedding gifts...

I could go count the number of pieces I have stored.  I haven't sold any and have only slotted 1 set of 6 pieces, but I'm not going to do that.  I'll do a SWAG and guess in the realm of 100 sessions where I did 3 runs, one blue, one red and one for chaos spiel, all triple boxed.  For counting Cupid pieces earned I'll eliminate chaos spiel making it 100 sessions * 2 runs per session * 3 accounts for about 600 pieces.  I had a handful of "normal" runs with teammates, no more than probably 10 of those though.

I am proud to say that I have not run it once.

Why?  Because of Summer Blockbuster.

Ive tagged along on that stupid thing twice and still have no clue what is going on, or what I’m supposed to be doing.

So I’m not getting suckered in again!

Summer Blockbuster is really good. I like it a lot. BUT... and it's a very big but (I cannot lie) I totally get where you're coming from there. People tend to speed run it whooosh-stylie, leaving novices behind with an itchy head and WTF in their minds.

That said I do know people who have run at a good pace and then it's enjoyable and rewarding.

Good luck in getting it going sometime.

Like 3 times. I didn't understand the fuss and the fight was pretty boring. I never understood what a "nemesis" wedding was... was it a different mission? I never saw Nemesis.

The last time I tried it everybody just kept going in and out of the mission and nobody explained why.

Edit: oh and the dialog? Painfully bad.

Oh, I think about five runs for the badges then a few more because my regular team wanted to do it.  So . . .  around 10?

Originally on Infinity.  I have Ironblade on every shard.  -  My only AE arc:  The Origin of Mark IV  (ID 48002)

Link to the story of Toggle Man, since I keep having to track down my original post.

That was my exact initial take on the event (I've only done SBB once) and I didn't even run it for the first 10 days or so, but...

then I ran the wedding event, solo.  As a devout soloist, I found the fight fun on many of my alts, challenging on others.  I enjoyed testing my builds and strategies on each different alt.  I think my easiest run was with my namesake, a 50 Elec/Elec tank.  I prepositioned in the midst of each spawn point and laid waste to them all as they appeared. It was fun.

Zero times. Work hit me hard over the last few months. I think the number of times I've logged in over the last few months can be counted on one hand.  Things are getting a little better now, and I have a little more free time. So you might be seeing more of me until May when the stuff hits the fan again. Honestly, I'm only slightly aware of the marriage event and have no idea about it's benefits, whether or not it was good,  or anything!
