What I'd really like are more doors and doorways. Right now the only door that has two sides that you can conceivably place in a normal-sized building is the CoT door, and that's got a very mystical/medieval feel to it. The 'normal door' and 'steel door' objects only have one side, meaning you can't have them swung open except at extreme angles, since from the other side they're invisible. And even then, they have the 'frame' of the door attached to them, making it look kind of awkward to have that swung open from the doorway. 

 

Also, splitting the bathroom doors apart so that they're two objects instead of one would be great. Sometimes you want the bathrooms to be in different sections of a building (across the room from one another, or with a wider separation, etc), and having them forced to be right next to one another is kind of a bummer.

 

The broken destroyer bits with doorways in them can be used sometimes, if you meld them into a wall and try to bulk up the doorway bit to fit the thicker wall, but it always looks off. Maybe some unbroken destroyer parts, so we could make full walls out of that kind of material. 

 

More portraits and paintings, as well. There are a bunch of framed photos, but only two paintings. If you want to have a mansion, with some upscale artwork, you're kind of restricted to repeating those two paintings (and maybe the clockwork and dragon ones, though they're not framed in the antique-style frames). I'm pretty sure I've seen some other paintings around somewhere. I'll have to go see if I can track them down.

Indoor/Outdoor Lighting as a placeable item like the sky tiles is placeable in a room to define the sky for that room.  This way the base could be set to outdoor lighting, but could still include indoor rooms with indoor lighting instead, just by placing an indoor lighting item in the room.  Or make the base mostly indoor, but have one outdoor room and set it to outdoor lighting with an Outdoor Lighting item.

Various sized invisible tiles.  In the editor they can use the place holder similar to FXs and teleport beacons.  But in effect they would be solid walls that can be seen through from either side, to help contain spaces, or make invisible platforms, or any number of other purposes.

Snow patches similar to the grass that can cover large sections of area. Complete with 'crunch' to mimic walking. Ice on water to mimic the frozen lakes in the NYE missions. Including the ability to 'ski' on them, along with sound effects. Mounds and hills to mimic snow piles.

 

Christmas trees with stars/angels on top, ornaments and multiple color lights. Available in differing sizes. Presents to go under the trees. Toys/dolls for under the trees. Garlands and wreaths for the walls. Sleighs that can be attached with reindeers.

 

Tables and chairs set for Christmas dinner. Turkey with gravy and dressing. Dishes filled with vegetables and sides for holidays. Table place settings for holidays.

 

The icicle lights from the Winter Chalet. 

 

Some folks want winter wonderlands in their bases. 😉

Doors that can remain open or *be opened to allow access from both sides*.

 

Allow plates (particularly water and grass) to be seamless, but apply to all.

Allow EVERYTHING in bases to be color coordinated.

We seem to have plenty of junk food, I'd kinda like to have some additional food options.  

 

We've got a steakhouse in town...

so why not steak and baked potato, maybe some soup and salad, some fruit, etc.

 

And because I know these models aren't in game already and I know the team is busy, I tried my hand at making some lo-poly food.  I haven't been able to get the pigg viewers to work, so I can't see about exporting the existing bowls and plates (if possible), so just imagine that's what this food is on.  🙂

You are going to hate me for this, but I labored over that, too, until I realized I needed to rotate it like a second hand on a clock.

A way to make walls transparent, so windows or "viewscreens" look outside.
Otherwise we have to move up above the base and build in the "ether".
That's hard.  🙂

This asset is used in the Draw Wailers to Paragon City mission from Hardcase. It's very neat and I haven't seen it before. The top, bottom, and middle all spin in different directions. Would love to have this in my base.

At the completion of the least mission for the Belladonna Vetrano arc there is a holographic statue of the mission holder, can we get a version of that? Would love to add in a hall of heroes to the base. Maybe one half the size?

I've been getting a fair amount of use out of the Garden Arch (Cityscape) and the Roman/Ruined gate (Doors and Windows); these work in somewhat formal contexts with a lot of stone walls, not sure what would work with them in a more tech environment,  For the garden arch I usually put some kind of stone object between them and the walls so characters don't get in there and get stuck.  The Roman gates can just be set inside the doorway with clipping on. 

 

AAR I would like to see these posters from a very early Azuria mission added as available wall decorations.  They're just too funny.....

How about some new trophy weapons in the weapons tab?

We already have a pretty good sized selection of weapons, but there are a lot more that could be put in there.
I'd love to be able to place some of the Titan Weapons on a wall in my armory.

What I am looking for at the moment are tech style dividers the same size as the "Concrete & Wood" dividers.  The "Bulkhead" texture would be great or any of the Tech or High Tech wall styles.  I just need something that fits between the floor and tech balcony when put at the height of a tech ramp.  If you could avoid the flare at the top, it would be exactly what I'm looking for.

 

Much appreciation for everything the devs are doing to keep the game going.  I'm happy to be able to play again.  Now I want to build.

I have a few very specific things that I would love added to base environments.

 

1) Make it so that if there is only one location attached to a teleporter, it takes you directly to that place, instead of giving you a menu of places to go. This would make rooms possible that are build above/below each other, but seem contiguous. as well as add to the overall atmosphere.

 

2) Make inter-base teleportation possible by adding an option to add "enter base with passcode" to a teleport beacon.

 

3) Add the ability to add coalition members to the permissions for base storage.

My "Pie-In-The-Sky" Wishlist (Sears, ca. 1976):

 

"Anti-Lights": things like the floodlights that have a projected point of illumination, except... they have a projected point of dimness or darkness; they suppress the natural lighting in an area. Knock out those lightbulbs you can only see with Options --> Hidden Markers turned On. Seriously, the ability to create small areas of significantly lessened light (without any weird SFX) would be awesome.

 

The various warning signs like "Danger: Electrocution Hazard" and whatnot that are out there in the wild. Want some OSHA approval for my base, please.

 

At least one non-medical refrigerator. Also other household appliances like a washer, dryer, stove... yes, I made a good stove thanks to someone's helpful guide over in Basebuilding using flipped-over Exploration Markers, but some real deal items would be appreciated.

 

Can the quality "Storage" be separated from the current storage objects, such that we could apply them to something other than wire cages, noisy floorspace-hogs and so on? That crate could become my inspiration storage, that shelf my enhacement storage, that Tech Box my salvage storage. Looking at the weird color wrap around storage items in Hidden Markers, I can see that this might be even more unlikely than usual, but this is my wishlist, and I can always ask. I *know* I'm not getting the Space: 1999 Eagle for Christmas, but it's going on the list anyways!

 

And possibly something similar for interior base teleports, so I don't have to have some glowy effect on a "door" to teleport from Alpha to Beta. Doors like in missions but in the base? That's be sooooo much smoother.

 

Oooh! Oooh! Just saw this on Psyphon's post just above mine - seconding ability to add coalition members to permission lists.

 

I had more in my head, but it all fell out. Maybe later.

Haven't had a chance to look thru the entire thread so apologies if this has been mentioned previously.   Would it be possible to find a way to use an existing stock mission map as a static base map?  My guess would be single level maps like:

 

1.) Cargo ships

2.) various warehouse or cave maps

3.) Casino/bars

4.) A single floor of an Arachnos base

5.) An abandoned Faultline base

 

There could be a lot of possibilities. just from the map list in AE.  I used to be able to stack rooms and had some neat layouts in the old days but I just cannot seem to get the hang of it again.  Existing stock maps would provide us some short cuts for a simple themed base for some of our groups.

I've just peeked the "Winter Forest". It's on HC live, through Null the Gull. Most of what I want is already IN the game. It's just a matter of making it available to the masses.
