I don't think the intent is for soloists to be able to wipe out all the big spawns and the Mino solo. But a soloist CAN explore it with sufficient stealth, speed, and sneakiness. Timing also matters a lot. If you are solo and the only person there, you are going to have a hard time, especially if you have no level shifts. But if there is also a team or league in the zone at the same time taking down groups the soloist will also benefit from the level shifts earned by the group. And that makes it possible to explore a little safer and perhaps to take down some groups solo. As the NPCs are grouped by color, you can also somewhat tailor what enemies you face to go up against things you are strong against and avoid things your character finds difficult. (said by me as a player, not as any official HC statement)

As reported by @Shin Magmus, Shoal Rush on MMs is not accepting slow slotting and all other ATs do allow for slow slotting.

OK, thanks. I was just reading through the first one and that's a pretty long list of wants . . . including a pony! Several of them were asking for powersets to be added and many of those were added with Issue 27, page 7. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_27_Page_7#Architect_Entertainment Now I had a chance to look through the second one. That was actually started by GM Arcanum back in 2020! Some additional AE things were added in Issue 27, page 2 and page 4 since that thread was started. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_27_Page_2#Mission_Architect https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_27_Page_4#Architect_Entertainment But I get it. You want more AE love!

Focused Feedback: Marine Affinity
GM_GooglyMoogly replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Could you tell us which ATs allow slow IOs and which ones don't? It maybe that some ATs got it and some didn't and that probably needs a fix. -
Something like what? This page doesn't have any power set rebalancing, but I think it's safe to say that future issues will. I'm not saying what powersets and what changes because I frankly don't know and those things can go back and forth pretty quickly from major change to minor change to no change.
-
Or you could answer the question now so that at least they have some idea for the next time: What would you like to see in future Issues? There's other stuff besides Labyrinth, Warriors, and Marine Affinity. A new arc, new badges, new auras, new pets, new aether costumes, power customizations, Blarf, new accolade power, and fixing a bunch of geometry bugs. And I don't think it's fair to say no one but the devs wanted challenging content. You and Lazarillo may not have wanted it (and again, that's fine), but I have personally seen dozens of players in game, on forums, and Discord complain about how easy the game is and how much they want harder content. I'm sure that the ones I've heard are only a sampling. Hopefully the next issue will have something for you. But if the players don't tell the devs what they want . . .

Focused Feedback: Marine Affinity
GM_GooglyMoogly replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
The wiki has this for pet MaxHP "The following table lists the Base and Maximum Hit Point Caps for Mastermind henchmen: Tier Base HP Max HP Cap Tier 1 (level 48) 574.95 862.43 Tier 2 (level 49) 768.83 1153.24 Tier 3 (level 50) 963.81 1445.71" -
Yup. Play your way and report your reactions to the new stuff and any oddities or bugs in the Focused Feedback threads. Thanks, Ukase.
-
You are, of course, welcome to test or not test anything and to like or dislike whatever. But out of curiosity, what sort of things would interest you enough to try them on a Beta.
-
Most of you probably already saw the announcement, but for those that didn't: ISSUE 28, LEGACY, PAGE 1 is in open beta! The cow hint was a reference to the Minotaur from the new Labyrinth of Fog and the wave is a new support power set, Marine Affinity. If you don't see "Open Beta" on your HC launcher, go to the settings gear symbol on the top right, click on open beta and make sure that "Hide" is unchecked.

Axe has a limited range of 15 feet from the user. Anything outside that would not be effected. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=tanker_melee.battle_axe.whirling_axe&at=tanker But, if the build has the room, you can also get fold space. That has a range of 100 feet. https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=pool.teleportation.long_range_teleport&at=tanker

You misspelled "BASED." 😉 Anyway, knockback is one of those topics that people feel strongly about. On my player account, I will sometimes slot -KB on knockback attacks, but not always. Shin would kick me so fast from his team because I use meteor and I don't slot it with -KB. Going back to the OP, when I get chastised for using KB I tell them not to worry about it -- if I knock it, I kill it. Some melee will then say "OK" thinking (and hoping) that I will soon go splat and are then surprised but satisfied when I don't. They can go off and herd the next group and avoid the frustration of having to chase my targets. Win-Win. When I play my Storm/Storm corrupter I'll restrict unleashing all my chaos when on a team or I'll go to another group of critters and let loose on them without bothering the teammates. On the other hand, I have also been annoyed when I was in the process of landing something like soul drain and everything gets scattered just as I fired my attack and not only do I not hit the big group but my damage is nerfed for a chunk of time. I also agree with the poster that mentioned other effects potentially being problematic. It's very frustrating when you are herding a bunch of Rikti into the MSR bowl and they get immobilized in a conga line at the edge of the bowl. Or you get the best of both worlds: scattered KB followed by an immob so now you have to single target attack each critter! Ultimately, I think this problem can be solved with communication, kindness, coordination, and consideration. If you hate any KB with a passion, tell folks politely why or form your own No-KB-team. If you insist on using KB tell folks politely why or form your own Chaos team. Now that you know where the other player is coming from you can try to reach an agreement (like you knock it, you kill it or please wait until I use x power) or just decide it's not worth it and either play solo or find another team in line with your preferences. -

Yay! -
My point was that I don't give advisory opinions. "Is this OK?" "How about now?" "What if I change this letter or that color?" Googly don't play that. I can make any or all costumes "generic" but I don't think I can force a costume change. Someone with greater knowledge or higher level GM powers might be able to. I honestly don't know.
-
I don't speak for any other GM, but if you PM me a costume and name I will not comment one way or the other. If someone sees your character and lodges a complaint one of the GMs will take a look and make the judgment call. Sometimes we will do a little research to compare your character to existing IP and sometimes we consult each other to get second opinions. There is copying, there is homage, and there is parody. The closer the name, costume, bio, and powers match the existing IP, the more likely you are to lose the name and/or costume and/or Bio. You never lose the powers and the character for an IP violation . . . unless maybe you keep resetting it . . .

Done.

Delete what now? Oklahoman, I don't know what happened to your calendar event. It may have timed out. But if you submit a new one, I'll look out for it and approve the posting. Just make sure to give it an expiration date of a year or less, please. https://forums.homecomingservers.com/events/submit/?do=submit&id=11

Yes. You do. You have been specifically asked, by me, to not post so many pictures in this and other threads.

OK, let's not start another argument. I trimmed some back and forth and debated removing the pics. I'm leaving them for the moment, but if KingCeddd03 or anyone turns this into a New York bulletin board by adding more they all might go. Also, be excellent to each other.

Trickshooter's Force Shield Powerset Suggestion!
GM_GooglyMoogly replied to Trickshooter's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I mean in the sense that we have damage auras (you can pretend it's reflected back) and we have -dam Auras. So both those things have been done. Genetic Contamination does both damage DoTs and -Dam. I forget if there are others. -
Trickshooter's Force Shield Powerset Suggestion!
GM_GooglyMoogly replied to Trickshooter's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Maybe it could be an aura that reduces incoming damage and reflects it back. We already have ones that do that, though. To give it flavor, it should reflect back the damage directed at the tank. Fight fire with fire! Ice with Ice! -
Trickshooter's Force Shield Powerset Suggestion!
GM_GooglyMoogly replied to Trickshooter's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes, damage done to you gets reflected back to enemy, like bullets ricocheting. However, that also brings up an interesting possibility -- what if you had a tanker power that acted like MM bodyguard, but for your teammates. Damage directed at team gets deflected back to that tank. Sorry, just riffing off your ideas.
