I just googled people smoking cigars and the images are ... strange. Cigars are weird. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=people+with+cigars&iar=images&iax=images&ia=images

Splitting the Fighting Pool into Off and Def Pools.
Herotu replied to Cooltastic's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If you're going to do things like this, could you kindly nerf everybody across the board so that they HAVE to take this power... then make this power inherent. Heck, why not just make us all generic clones? -
Mastermind, more than any other class, needs keybinds. Can we perhaps get a sticky with a recommended heap of keybinds on it please?

Just some ideas; More asymmetrical costume parts - I know spandex heroes of old didn't use them much but these days we're all about spec ops heroes with accessories!; Single shoulder pieces (this MUST be easy, it means deleting one existing shoulderpad, right?) Some single gloves - especially wristbands (same, just delete one) Any new asymmetrical chest details would be appreciated Boss variation - the big-bag-of-hitpoints thing is a bit drab. For example; a random one of several versions of the boss? You probably already have some better ideas of your own. Mob variation - the bag-of-hitpoints thing is a bit drab, and I agree that Malta Sappers are annoying, but they do something different and I appreciate that! Mission variety. IMO too many missions are defeat some enemies/a boss - with lots of groups just standing around. When you get to the Portal Corps missions - it feels as if the original devs ran out of the juju juice! I'd love to see more "disarm bombs in a time-limit" missions - I think they got added with the bank side-missions - things like this just to vary the game a bit more. I recognise that it would require rewording some mission text, so it's unlikely to happen. A shame, but something worth considering, I think. Examples of varied missions are the later ones: Ray Cooling, Faultline and Fusionette, Shining Stars (especially part 3, it's got everything you want in a story!). Maybe I'm not giving the right impression. Maybe what I'm saying is that TFs aren't providing the team-oriented missions that I'd expected... maybe I should change my expectations. The ability to set your default idle animation to one of the pre-existing looping or static emotes. This would mean some variation when you are just standing around. Maybe my guy stands like a gunfighter when he's not shooting things, for example. Quieter portals in the Portal Corpse (there, I said it) building. I couldn't find the file to turn it down via a data overwrite file.

Could someone explain Blaster secondaries to me please? It seems they are just for two things; Blapping and, One Build Up skill. Other than these they seem rather pointless. ... can someone put some nuance on this or explain secondaries in a more eloquent manner please?

My two favourites! Energy Blast Range, and Super Strength Melee I would love to say I've found something else that feels as meaty and fun as these but I haven't yet.
-
I can explain why. It's because people complain when you make their gameplay complicated. If the AI was smart and all the mobs spread out and attacked from all over and then ran away when their health got low, people would be fed up and complain. Players want the mobs to be stupid and stand in a nice AoE blob for easy kills.

I would never touch anything other than a Seagate Barracuda hard disk drive. Especially not from Western Digital. This is a good rule. Keep them active. Move them or lose them!

I'm looking to put together a new, cheap computer. I'm looking at a processor - Ryzen 3600 motherboard - ASUS Prime B450M-A (I don't overclock) PSU - EVGA 600W Then I just need memory and I'll use my old hard drives (2x512gig Seagate Barracudas in a striped RAID, Intel® SSD 530 Series 125gig for operating system, Samsung EVO 850 SSD 250gig). There may be an issue putting all of these sata devices on that particular board - but we'll see. I'll fudge it somehow. Not sure about graphics yet. RULE OF THUMB : If it says "Gaming" on it, look for a cheaper version of it. -"GAMING" adds 30-200% to the price for no reason. I get the impression that a lot of people are holding off buying computer components because they're a massive rip off at the moment.

My UI keeps changing scale. What's going on?! I did customise some audio with a data folder - someone said this can affect other settings somehow, but really, what gives?

I had to google it: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=%2Fjranger Thanks for that. Yes, I did think of this after the fact but I forgot to amend the original post with it. I was going to add that I wouldn't want the remaining pets to become more powerful as you're being beaten down, but again, I'm just tossing out an idea and not giving any specifics about how or if it gets implemented*. I know that one of the top ideas flying around at the moment is customised Mastermind pets (I'm not guessing/psychic, the developers said it somewhere) and I thought that even more freedom would be great, particularly as some people would like to make a superduo as their class. *I did mention only HPs and damage because those are things that all (?) pets do, and I didn't want to get into specifics of noodling around with powers and all that guff.

It seems odd to me that FF is so weak and needs boosts that any MM has access to. I think I'll try another secondary.

It is 2019: How would you update the city?
Herotu replied to Techwright's topic in General Discussion
This game is snapshot in time, it shouldn't be updated! BUT I would like it if there were ways to walk around inside buildings and ... you know, interact with stuff. -
Wow, look at that! https://imgur.com/a/d1otgm1

I've got to L43 on my Bots/FF MM and I'm really wondering what other secondary I should have gone with. FF doesn't seem to do much for my survivability. It's quite grim.
-
I love this idea, and often think of how cool themed groups would be, but the chance of getting the same people together each week is always low.
-
Masterminds are cool, but you NEED to keep summoning pets in order to be highest efficiency. What if the damage/health of pets varied depending on how many were out. This way players can choose to just have one pet in order to have it approximately AS powerful as the army of minions. Not sure how this would work with the class when it doesn't have OPTIONS for max number of pets. For example: You want to make a super DUO with you and one of your pets? Now it's possible. The best part of all is that if you have all the pets out, it's exactly the same as it is at the moment.
