Moka Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 Makani/Devil Horns: When the junior hero known as Psy Kick went missing after involving herself in a case against a group of cyborg cultists known as the Benevolent Church of Nyx, she later emerged as the vigilante known as 'Devil Horns' in the Rogue Isles, having awakened to her demonic heritage as a half-devil. She serves as a menacing protector in the isles. Aimbot: That's why your brains have moral sense. A sense who's function is to distinguish between acts of right and wrong. With liberty to choose which of them you will commit. You are always choosing, and in nine times out of ten you prefer the wrong. There shouldn't be any wrong. And without your moral sense there can't be any. Nova, or callsign 'Aimbot' (sometimes referred to as Aimee) went on a hunt for her memories after being augmented by a cult society revolving around an ancient machine tree. After doing countless mercenary jobs and involving herself in numerous conspiracies all for naught, she's lost herself and dedicated her life to becoming the ultimate weapon. Fellow edgelords beware. Rook the Voided/Space Cowboy: How does one respond to the Space Illuminati kidnapping you to tell you that you're the genetic experiment to recreate a dead creator race's legacy? Rook felt the answer laid within plenty of gunshots, quantum blood magic, and stealing a high class stealth ship full of secrets alongside a bunch of escaped prisoners. His crew eventually took on oppressive governments and took fight to the Nictus, which he eventually followed to Earth. Having been on Earth for awhile now, he's taken up an occupation as a monster hunter. Mr. Buttons: Once a supervillain's death robot, Mr. Buttons is now a babysitter for hire. He doesn't do the killing thing anymore. 5/5 stars on yelp review. Empyrean (Merit): Once a boy wonder sidekick to the original Empyrean in the Fallen Stars vigilante supergroup, he has taken up the mantle of his fallen master and is looking to purge the isles of its sinister villains once and for all - especially the Sinister Squad. Word on the street is he's surpassed even his original master by obtaining Incarnate power. Well, he did - until the Sinister Squad killed him and several of his vigilante allies. He was later resurrected by the Vahzilok. With only a fragment of his soul in tact, he knows he needs to fight - but he isn't sure of what his fight is, anymore. Program: The Forgemaster, a supervillain and a master engineer, had a sprawling army of giant death robots with cool swords. He's been away for awhile now and most of his robots have been trashed or decomposed. One, however, seems to have a will of its own, and it doesn't seem to like anyone very much. 6
Zolgar Posted July 3, 2019 Posted July 3, 2019 <snip> You really like swords. And edgelords :p Always happy to answer questions in game, typically hanging around Help. Global is @Zolgar, and tends to be tagged in Help.

Heraclea Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 A BUNCH OF COOL STUFF Whoa whoa whoa! Animated costume pics?! How'm'I 'spose to compete with that?! Can probably be captured from the powers costume creator screen. Mystic Fortune posted an Aztec themed character a few pages back. This is Catrina, born Catrina Calaveras, an archeologist and anthropologist who unearthed a mysterious crystal skull and was tasked by the Aztec gods to put the hurt on the Skulls, who had ticked them off for reasons you can well imagine. What actually happened in game was that she got on a team that was stomping through some Skulls storylines in Kings Row, including new Skulls AVs I had never seen before. When she got the Kill Skuls badge through regular gameplay, she worked it into her story. Then there's Grandma Gnosis, illusion/rad controller (was ill/emp from i2 to i23). Her costume is also grounded in game lore: 2 QVÆ TAM FERA IMMANISQVE NATVRA TB ~ Amazon Army: AMAZON-963 | TB ~ Crowned Heads: CH-10012 | EX ~ The Holy Office: HOLY-1610 | EV ~ Firemullet Groupies: FM-5401 | IN ~ Sparta: SPARTA-3759 | RE ~ S.P.Q.R. - SPQR-5010 Spread My Legions - #207 | Lawyers of Ghastly Horror - #581 | Jerk Hackers! - #16299 | Ecloga Prima - #25362 | Deth Kick Champions! - #25818 | Heaven and Hell - #26231 | The Legion of Super Skulls - #27660 | Cathedral of Mild Discomfort - #38872 | The Birch Conspiracy! - #39291
Six-Six Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 So many friggin' awesome costumes! I love browsing this thread over and over. Is it just me, or do any of you feel really bad when doing tunnel/sewer missions. Deep inside, I can't shake the feeling that my costume will get dirty. 1 My Toons
Healix Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 ...well, considering those brown things floating by in the sewers are NOT trout, yah 3 Forever grateful to be back in my city!

Transhumanish Posted July 6, 2019 Posted July 6, 2019 Some more characters: Crystal Lynn isn't merely the superhero moniker of this mutant hero, but the actual name her hippie parents gave her. It was serendipitous--in a way almost torn right from the pages of the comics she grew up reading--that she manifested mutant powers of telekinetic control over crystalline substances, particularly of the mineral variety (earth/earth dominator, with each effect given its own color of crystal reskin): This young hero likes Pokemon. A lot. A whole lot. Perhaps too much. When his mutant abilities sprang forth, giving him the ability to create fire, and solidify these flames into searing fire-crystal spines, he knew exactly what he had to do. Thus, was Cyndaquil born! Well, Nixon's back yet again. He was doing just fine as a head in a jar in the 31st century when some upstart tried to kill him via time travel. Unfortunately, it almost worked, and Nixon's head was grievously wounded, leaving only his brain and eyes. He used the very time travel equipment the young assassin used to get to him, but it misfired and broke, leaving him in an alternate earth a millennium in the past. Now, he's building a criminal empire in the Rogue Isles. This woman appears to be made of purest smoky obsidian, with a red glowing light flowing through her veins just under the surface, lighting up her eyes, and the crystalline rose in her ebon glass leafy hair. A druid who was trapped in this body as a curse by an evil magus, the Obsidian Rose turned weakness into strength, turning the fragile glass body into crystal harder than steel. Her ability to summon and control flora now creates similar obsidian plants, and her once fiery spells are now deepest blood-red, similar to the light in her veins: The vile villain who goes by Scarab Beetle summons swarms of insects to plague others, to tear them to pieces. These swarms look like darkness, until you get close, at which point you hear the skittering and see the "darkness" is made from thousands to millions of scarabs or other insects: The being known only as the Techno-Lich uses technomagic to power their ancient immortal self in these modern times, having kept up with technology and mixing it with magic for millennia. Their undead form is encased in a rust-colored iron suit reinforced, with magics that make the weathered-looking armor nearly indestructible. Heraclea Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 For my Amazon mains on Torchbearer, I've decided to bring back a limited form of the supergroup uniform, based ultimately off Heraclea's colors of red, gold, blue, and white. This is an ancient Roman style army, bring your own gear, but the costumes don't have to be Roman themed or use all the same logos or pieces, though some are pretty popular. At any rate, here are my seven top characters in their versions of the team colors: 6 QVÆ TAM FERA IMMANISQVE NATVRA TB ~ Amazon Army: AMAZON-963 | TB ~ Crowned Heads: CH-10012 | EX ~ The Holy Office: HOLY-1610 | EV ~ Firemullet Groupies: FM-5401 | IN ~ Sparta: SPARTA-3759 | RE ~ S.P.Q.R. - #39291
KalSpiro Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Welp... here it goes I guess Ok, there have been some really nice one, but these are just consistently good. All of them are stylish, crisp, and really well put together. Ten out of ten. Literally only the Goblin would take it, for me, due to pure ingeniousness. biostem Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Ok guys, so I went a little nuts with the character creator. This is totally not what I set out to create, but the pieces of the outfit just started to fall in place, so I had to run with it. I REALLY need a good name for this hero/villain. Help me out? Truly incredible creativity! Cheers! 2
