I noticed that Sonic Resonance on masterminds Disruption Field has the wrong endurance cost - a number of powers like that have had their endurance lowered.  Base I think is .65/sec

Siphon Life from the Tankers is showing wrong numbers. I did not test the Scrapper or Stalker versions.

 

 

In game at level 50 on a clean build an unenhanced Siphon Life heals for 187 HP or 10% HP. HD shows Siphon Life healing for 377, or 17%, with a clean build.

 

In game with three generic heal IOs Siphon Life heals for 373 HP. HD shows Siphon Life with three generic level 50 heals as healing for 652HP, or 34%.

Maybe, but I don't think so. Siphon Life does not do leech, it heals for a fixed amount each time so damage boosts should not have interfered with the heal values of Siphon Life, but tbh i have no clue, for all I know perhaps it did.

So I just downloaded the zip file, extracted the two folders and when I try to open up any of my old builds this pops up. Did I do something wrong or is there a different version I need to download?

You could try your old build in Pine's 2.22 from Khy from here:

At some point, they had to redo a bunch of the behind the scene indexes, as they were all messed up.  Some old builds wouldn't open, then.

 

If it will open in the v2.22, you'll still have to redo it in the new builder, but at least you can visually reference the old build.

Regarding the busted Stalker builds with Force of Will and Sorcery.  It occurs in both the release version and the cutting edge version (20.2605).

 

Here is a data chunk and a link to an mxd file for one of the troubled builds.

 

With these saved builds nothing I do will make it see the T1/T2 powers in Force of Will or Sorcery appear valid at any level.  But with new builds they are fine.  I can fix the issue by starting from scratch and making the same build, but haven't found any other way to make the builds behave.  It's a rather narrow issue:  Stalkers with FoW or Sorc pools only.  All of those, and none of anything else.

Yes, there is.

 

Go to FIle -> Open -> (your COH directory) -> (your account name) -> Builds -> build.txt (or something like that)

Thanks, but that's what I tried.

It errors out.

The file opens ok in Notepad++ and looks ok to the eye.

I was hoping I could remove fields or comments or other reformatting and make it importable.

Definitely built with an old database version.

The build has an embedded Experimental Injection in the inherents section for some reason. You also can't remove it even if you were to switch to Experimentation for one of your pools, because...

Unfortunately this isn't something we can fix. Experimental Injection isn't an inherent power in our database. That means it's baked into the hex data block within your save, and as far as Mids is concerned, that's technically valid for this build. To get rid of it you'll have to remake it.

Thanks for looking into that.  I suspected it had something to do with the DB I used to build it, but was hoping there was a fix for that.  I wonder how the heck Stalker Experimental Injection became an inherent, since it didn't even exist in any builds until recently and the only two MRBU builds I've used have been the 3/26 release build and the latest cutting edge build.  I've heard the DB can be corrupted easily, but I hadn't opened it until after the problem arose (not since the olden days anyway, and I have separate installs for Mid's, Pine's and Mid's Reborn.  Ironically, none of my old Mid's builds are broken, as none have Origin Pools to cause a problem.

Been a while since I actually used it, so I double checked on a few different builds.  All lvl 50 with set IO builds.

 

Fire/Fire Blaster - works.

Ill/Kin Controller - works.

Fire/Spines Brute -  fails.  "Invalid Import Data, Blame Sai!  Error: Redirects.Inherents.Fury_Proc"

 

So I tried with another brute.

 

EM/EA Brute - fails.  Same error message.

 

Let's check other toons, see if we can find a pattern.

 

Stone/SJ Tanker - fail - Blame Sai, Gauntlet_Proc

Dark/Rad Controller - works.

Plant/Pain Controller - sorta fails, but works. - Blame Sai.  Error: Crafted_Malaises_Illusions_F, then everything shows up, except the some of IOs in the inherent powers.

Psi/Shield Scrapper - fails, but works - Crafted_Apocalypse_D

Peacebringer - fails - Peacebringer_Defensive.Luminous_Aura.Energy_Flight

Sonic/Martial Blaster - fails, but works.  Crafted_Endurance_Discount (which is odd, other builds have had this...Also, duplicates Reach for the limit, giving one of them at lvl 1, pushing Ki Push to lvl 2 which is another error.  Greys out most IOs in the default slots, but not in Scream - lvl 1 power, or Ki Push, which it has as lvl 2)

EM/Regen Stalker - fails, but works.  Crafted_Endurance_Discount - doesn't have the IOs in some inherent powers.

Mind/Psi Dominator - works

Ill/Rad Controller - fails, but works.  Crafted_Unbreakable_Guard_A - Another Strange one.  That would be in Flash.  In my Ill/Kin, it's in Blind, but doesn't error out.

Demons/Cold Mastermind - fails, but works - Crafted_Panacea_A - Again, used in other builds without error.

Psi/WP Sentinel - Fails.  Multiple Superior_Sentinels_Ward, Epic.Sentinel_Psionic_Mastery.Mind_Probe

Fire/Dark Corruptor - Works

SR/Mace Tanker - Fails, Gauntlet_Proc

Thugs/Thermal Mastermind - fails, but works - Crafted_Recharge (seriously??  EVERY build has that, why would it fail on this one?)

Arachnos Widow - holy shit what a fail.  Error: C:\COH\Axis\Builds\build.txt is an invalid file name.  Gives an unhandled exception error, closes the program.

 

 

....I have more 50s, but I think that's enough.

 

 

 

Checking a couple ATs that I don't have at 50...

Ok, so opening a /buildsave file mostly fails, depending on the build.  But it works enough to get most builds a good starting point.

 

Hopefully someone can take a look at this and see if it's fixable.

Bug report: When throwing together a Sentinel build for someone the epic pool Psionic Mastery permits Blaster ATOs to be placed in the Mind Probe melee power.

Working on my Widow my reported defense is way higher than it actually is. I've heard that it's common knowledge that Mind Link is overstating how much defense it gives, but I see that Mask Presence is also doing the same (sort of), well at least when in combat. Out of combat the listed defense is correct but once the stealth drops you lose 2/3 of the stated defense. Wasn't sure if this is something fixable, or even important enough to look at. Now that I'm aware of this I am able to do the math manually, just a bit of a pain.

So i decided to do a full check on Sentinels' Epic pools... and it didn't dissapoint.

  • Psi Mastery > Mind Probe: no longer accept blaster sets (thanks @Redlynne) #oops
  • Leviathan Mastery > Knockout Blow: somehow it did accept until now Ranged AoE sets in addition to Melee ST ones. Fixed.
  • Ninja Mastery: fixed typo for "Paralizing Dart"
  • Ninja Mastery: Tashibishi, Sting of the Wasp, Paralyzing Dart, The Lotus Drops no longer accept untyped sets. Don't ask, i don't even know what this can be. Question. Search. Rularuu.

Bleeding edge updated. Again, thanks folks for proofing this 🙂

Options -> Configuration

Effects & Math (2nd tab) -> Suppression (box with lots of things in it)

Check the box marked "Attacked", click OK.

 

You are now "in combat" and the MP numbers should be correct.

 

To fix the Mind Link number:

Options->Advanced->Database Editor->Main Database Editor->Teamwork->Fortunata Teamwork->FRT_Mind_Link (double click or click Edit)

Effects Tab (3rd tab), for each of the Defense categories, double click it or click edit, change scale to 1.428 and magnitude to 1.0 (the field above it should end up showing 10%, I don't remember which I had to edit, should only be either scale or mag), click Ok.

Once you have done that for all defense categories, click OK, Save & Close, Close.

 

If you had a Fortunata build open, close and re-open it.  The ML number should now be correct.
