If they cut character slots to 1 - what would be your 1 character?

It would have been a Energy Melee/Regen Stalker.. post recent EM changes, either Stone Melee/Fire Aura Brute (Lazy just hits hard) or Psychic/Mental Blaster (SyFi is aoe yumminess)

1 total or 1 per server? I'm perfectly happy to server hop for more slots. I did it back when we only had 8 on live.

If I had to stick to one, probably Cat Grey, my Warshade, since she gives me flexibility. Some control, some ranged damage, ability to tank, Kheld gameplay (including quantums,) but I'd probably also rarely be on.

I do, sometimes, miss that feeling from other games where you have just one character.  You know people though that character's eyes and they know you as that one character.  You deal with that character's flaws and strengths as they come.  There's enjoyment in that process.

 

But this game is not that.  It's basically a character creation sandbox game.   To limit yourself to 1 toon is like saying once you beat Bowzer, the game is over and you can't play it anymore.

I'd probably quit too.  But if I had to cut all the accounts down to one, for general utility, I'd probably keep Baroness Munchhausen, the DPS-built spines/radiation tanker.  And rename her Heraclea.....

I'd properly say - My main character - War Mace/Rad Brute. Although it would be tough as I also love my Arachnos crab and Elec/Dark Troller.

Terrible thought - set up a server as a Rogue-Like. Instead of spawning in Atlas you spawn in a pre-made base with storage. If you die all loot, influence, merits, incarnate salvage is immediately thrown in base or emails. Crafted Incarnates breakdown into their materials and are put in character email.

 

Still allowed only one character.

 

The real question would be badges/accolades you'd let move over or would you make someone re-earn each time?

Trying to think of an actually not joking answer to this and it's hard. So much of COH for me is making as many alts as possible. If I absolutely had to pick one it'd come down to my Dark/Dark Brute, my Inv/Dark Tanker, or my Ill/Storm Controller.

I think I would actually finally make a "Challenge" character.  Something like all-pool attacks for example, and I think I would try to play at higher challenge than I can handle while leveling.

 

Maybe I'd just end up frustrated and stop, but I think something like this would be a good way to really try to experience the city, since a single character slot is basically robbing me of the ability to explore character instead.

One is easier than two. My elec/elec blaster has been my main since 2007, was my first 50 both in the before times and in Homecoming, my badger, and would be the one I keep. But I'll also join the chorus of not knowing how much I'd play... I've got her kitted out, all* the badges I care to get, more Incarnate abilities than I'd ever really need now that I'm done badging. etc.

 

But if I had two character slots, I've got no idea who I'd keep for the second. One of the dominators is a good bet.

Have a philosophy of make everything, play a little. So I have almost 150 characters on Idom but 2/3s are likely level 1-5.

 

50s I've put some effort to T4, get builds on are likely in the 25-30 range. I often move characters I've leveled but I'm mentally done with to other servers. My OCD can't stand them being in the queue in front of me lol. I have a dark/nature controller that's been begging for a build and slotting but I keep putting it off so it'll likely go to excel or torch.

 

I'm finally earning vet levels since xp off doesn't boost influence anymore but I alt so much my only toons over vet level 100 are fire farmers.
