There's also a handful of other NPCs used in that intro quest that were unique to the Atlas/Mercy AEs. Checked Kings Row and Port Oakes on Brainstorm and doesn't look like they were moved to the next most accessible AEs.

So my Praetorian filled up my bar, but since she's "Heroic", no badge.

On the other hand, she does have the Commuter badge which is close enough, so this allows each side of the Praetorians to get this.   (And the tram is still available in the Atlas Park map via Null)

The NPC definitions still exist, I can look into adding them to the King's Row an Port Oakes AE buildings.

That's probably part of the point.  It's a role-playing destination and having a place with a dark atmosphere is just as valid as the Luau.  A group of smugglers and pirates who haven't bathed in a week fit better in a dingy bar drinking swill than in a tiki bar with fancy drinks with little umbrellas in them.

The new Longbow Info Guide in Fort Trident keeps mistakenly calling it "Freedom Corp" rather than "Freedom Corps". This error can be found on her following dialogues:

  • Intro text
  • Ask about the purpose of this facility
  • Ask about the Task Force teleports
  • Ask about offered crafting services

Also, the pre-existing "FreedomCorps Soldier" npcs in Fort Trident need a space between Freedom and Corps if possible.

 

Here's also a list of other places that incorrectly refer to Freedom Corp, if a mass find & replace is on the cards! 

 

Edit: Also, regarding the changes to the Skulls in Mercy Island, is it finally time to fix the model used for Rippers from level 1-4 (RogueIslandPolice_Officer_Low and RogueIslandPolice_Officer_Official)? They've incorrectly used the Security Guard Lieutenant models rather than the RIP Lieutenant models since CoVs launch!

Villain_Security_Officer_02,

Villain_Security_Officer_03,

Villain_Security_Officer_04

 

Should be using:

Villain_Isle_Ripper_01,

I assume that Fort Trident being listed as an available (but locked) zone in LRT as Resistance, and The Crucible being listed as an available (but locked) zone in LRT as a Loyalist is expected behavior?

 

Obviously, they cannot be unlocked gold side, so no real game issue.  I just wasn't expecting to see them listed as options.

One in her tradition spot by Atlas, one in IP on the deck of the ship and now a third inside the newly refurbished building in Atlas where the AE used to be.

This third version is especially confusing as a new alt will spring into life just by the Atlas version and then just a hop away she appears in the new location!

Just wondering if perhaps she is getting a tad too much workload and share of the limelight. (15 minutes is a good metric according to a certain artist!)

WAI, the submarine inside Fort Trident is always an undercover submarine, but the ones outside aren't necessarily undercover.

The seagull noises are likely because the sound size of the coastal ambience was just set to be giant because it didn't have to consider any underground, adding a tailor is an easy 'sure, can do' as well, I'll even go look for a CC0 pirate shanty to add to the space for ambience.

 

 

I was wondering if free use music can be used in the came? Like what's offered on SoundCloud as well as other places.

As an example:

 

Not a shanty, but I'm sure a couple of loops could be created from this and others available offerings.

 

Dislike certain sounds? Silence/Modify specific sounds. Looking for modified whole powerset sfx?

Let Ms. Liberty train and place BAB as the contact for Statesman task force like it was first intended.

 

"Ms. Liberty,  exhausted from being in so many places at once,  has stepped down from offering the Statesman Task Force.  Back Alley Brawler once again offered to take over and this time was accepted for the position."

With Issue 23 and the aftermath of Statesman's and Sister Psyche's deaths, the Statesman Task Force was to be taken over by Back Alley Brawler, with a little rework done to update the story to reflect Statesman's death. However, due to popular request on the Official Forums and elsewhere, Ms. Liberty was decided to take over, which meant it would instead be renamed after her.

What if... since Ms L is at the south end of the city hall, put BAB at the north end of the city hall?

 

Seriously, most of the time I forgot BAB exists, if I look at the area map, the place he's in is almost always covered in fog of war (across all my toons) because I don't go there.

The "back" door is probably hinged backwards, too? It should open so the hinge is away from the street, I think.

I used this guy a lot as a bartender when making screenshots using Titan Icon, usually in Studio 55 behind the main bar always chatting up the customers (talk emote). I named him Phil. He's got a (almost?) twin brother if I recall (might have dark hair).

Love the addition and changes for RP locations. One place that I've always thought would be a great RP location is the interior of the Golden Giza in St. Martial. Accessing it is not as easy, though. It could also use a dinner & a show (i.e., has a stage) room.  

 

One way to make low level characters move between certain RP-themed locations is a travel system designed for such using certain vehicles. Each vehicle gives you a teleport option to other RP locations. Outside Golden Giza could be a limo, outside the Bamboo hut is a beach buggy, or maybe just a shuttle van ("The Bar Crawl Service") at all locations (this could also be a base TP for those player-created "club" bases).  Next to the PD truck in AP could be the van (a flyer in Mercy). Perhaps the interior of GG could be made cooperative? (yeah, I know it's a special location in St. Martial so that may not be easy).

Casinos always seem to be made to make it hard to get out.    "I can call you a cab for five merits."  <=not serious

This is exactly the sort of thing a casino would do in RL, though.  They'll throw free stuff at you to get you to stay, but if you want to leave it's gonna cost ya.

Casinos used to do that, but they have hit upon hard times and no longer give you as much free stuff because people are cheap bastards and don't gamble as much.

 

I popped into Black Beards to check it out and hooray, no more seagulls and a facemaker in the back Yeas!

 

A male Erin and a female Roy for random NPC names? Weird.

 

I'll be honest, I'm not sure what a Tavern Shanty is supposed to look like, but I can't see any place for someone to perform like a stage.

 

[EDIT] Ah, it was background music that I couldn't hear over Port Oakes villain music. If that's stopped you can hear it.

 

Much better than seagulls anyways. Too bad there isn't a stage for people to play on or something, but not the end of th eworld.

I'm late to the party but as an additional concern, could the AE tutorial NPC be added to your contacts list when a player enters KR or Port Oaks for the first time?  Similar to the way detectives work.  It won't make much difference for most of us but for anyone who is truly new I think it would help a lot.  As a bonus if they get the "New Contact" pop-up window I think that would be better.

That's a per server setting, not a default, so it's not set on Brainstorm. It was configured so that Homecoming staff could add/remove the zone as events were held, but the team then elected to just leave it open at all times.

It'll be there as always on Homecoming when Page 4 drops.
