Welcome back to another week.

 

This week we keep it simple to get a snapshot of the playerbase's current projects. So what toon are you working on? What's its AT, powersets, epic/patron. What are your hopes for the toon? Is it being built with a concept you've been working on, or a particular type of content in your mind?

Ok, talk about one of them.

 

Well, this one is definitely looking to hold my interest for a bit.

 

It's a Stone/Bio/Soul Scrapper. Most of my toons start as a concept first then build goals last. Thankfully, my concepts usually coincide with build goals. This one is gonna be geared towards maximizing damage as much as possible for the purpose of doing Hard Mode content. I'm not too worried about survivability on it, since the Barrier spam meta + the Absorb shield should cover that for the most part. It's fully IO'd at the lvl it's at now and already chunks damage like crazy.

I wandered away at the end of October and haven't really played much since then... I *think* I still need to finish my squash's Incarnate toys? I can't remember where I left him in the process, but I don't think he was done. ..

 

And then there's Gnome on the Range. He's only 34, but I'm not at all sure I want to keep him, much less finish or equip him. I'm not big on joke characters in general, and I never even added him (or the squash for that matter-) to my character list.

Getting more into testing, but that's elsewhere.

 

On HC itself: Finishing up a DP/Kin corrupter, bunch of dayjobs for seven of my characters, some incarnate things, still working on my all content character that's been stalled for a bit.

 

I'm sure some other shiny item will make itself known.

After a 2-month break I just started a Rad/Rad Sentinel that I reserved the name for a long time ago (had to get the reservation ahead of time since it's a pretty good name IMO). Only level 9 right now but I'm already liking Rad armor's extra blue bar sustainability compared to other sets in the early game.

I've been hunting down zone event & monster badges across 10 toons. It'll take me a good while to get them all done, but its a nice fun project. The only downside is there's a lot of waiting and RNG to rely on. Some monsters can be reliably spawned (Goliath or Scrapyard), but most others are pure RNG (Sally especially has been a tough one to get). Still, its a fairly low stakes time sink in between other things I do.

I've been playing various robot related characters. Characters that are robots and Masterminds that have robots as pets. 

And various other characters when I haven't been playing those.

Various ATs. Various power sets. I don't think any of the characters that I have been playing lately have epic or patron powers.

err... which one?

I hope to level them all over time.

My plan at this point is to level lock them once they hit 49 (if not before in some cases).

Yes. I'm a character conception player.

All my characters are based on a character conception and have a bio when they zone into the game for the first time.

My project is respecing my 40 or so toons.  For most that means 2 builds.  And since most are level 19, that means designing a new spec and then deleting and re-creating the character to try the new spec.

 

I like the results I get - I tend to be happier with the character.  But it is a mental grind to make a character and then delete it.  So I tend to only work on it one or two days a week and just play the other days.

I have been tackling my altitis by focusing on one character a month and getting as far as I can with it.

Incarnates, badges, etc....

 

Also tackling my base at least one day a week

 

Currently on a Shield/Elec Stalker, and it has been a delight. Two Charge in powers WITH Combat Teleport? Everywhere all at Once kinda fighting lol

 

I still make alts ... not cured by a long shot.

This whole time I've been working on getting 1 Tank of each primary set to level 50.  So far I've finished Stone Armor, Radiation Armor, Electric Armor, Super Reflexes, Invulnerability, Ice Armor, Fiery Aura, and Willpower. Current status of those remaining: Dark Armor (43), Bio Armor (36), Shield Defense (32).

 

I'm having a lot of fun with Dark Armor and Bio Armor, but my current Shield Defense toon has been sitting at 32 for a long time. Might have to re-roll a new concept. I have two lvl 50 Shield Defense Scrappers and two lvl 50 Shield Defense Brutes, but the Tank just isn't clicking for me.

I hit 50 about a month ago on my Fire/Fire tank project and I've got everything T3ed. The only non-50 I'm playing at the moment is a Thugs/Electric mastermind for our Monday night leveling team. I think we're all about lvl 31 now.

As I have been beating this to death all year....hey, that was thematic!...I am on a Dark Dark Corruptor with Dark epic. (go Dark not Soul, the larger area on Soul Drain AND Oppressive Gloom leading to opportunity to Mag 4 Stun AoE as a part of your attack chain)

 

This is my current iteration of my vampire main. Who started as a Dark Invul Brute, then a Dark Dark Brute, then a Dark Dark Blaster (so wonky for me) and now Corrupting.  I may try the Blaster again at the end of this project. Maybe not.

 

My goal is as many badges as I can get in a year. Pretty sure I will get over 1500   Time will tell.

Currently playing(very slowly at that, yay laziness) my dark/dark/soul controller. Wanna get them past 50+1 for once before I get bored as it's pretty fun to play.

I’ve committed to playing a stone tanker and I am enjoying it. The changes to rooted make it much more enjoyable lower levels. I’m 4 levels from granite now

Actually nothing! 

 

I was playing up a Corr, Um, Sonic... something... but she was, while playing OK, just felt a bit samey, so she's stalled out at something like 37.  Great costumes though.

 

Due to my limited time and a perceived post-holiday population slump (always happens, I'm not DOOMing out over it), I was finding it hard to find teams to do much else than DFB and Maria Jenkins, which is an arc that can die in fire as far as I care now.  So I haven't actually been playing hardly at all the past month or so. 

 

I was going to start a Tuatha-like toon, presuming that we'd get those "reindeer-like" costumes for purchase via the particles, but that never came about so that guy's sitting there at like 3rd level, perhaps never to be played. 

 

Gave some thought to a semi-petless MM (I want to have the lions and nothing else) but the build I was half working on looked poor (big surprise I'm sure)... 

 

I guess I got a bit burned out.  I have some time off coming, might roll around in some 50s off on during that... I dunno.  Half thought about writing new AE arcs...  Yeah, just not feeling anything right now.

Currently playing a new, old-school blaster: Marxsman AR/Dev Note: he's not a communist, but Marksman was taken.

Also: A Fire/Fire Stalker playing old school with Placate. I know, not everyone's cup of tea, so what. His name is Enflambe'

 

Will eventually get Rock Largo the Ninja/Time MM and La Merle the Sonic/TacArrow blaster to 50, currently both at 45.
