I remade my main and one alt. The rest of my (fairly small) stable of characters on Homecoming are fresh starts, although there is one more alt I occasionally consider remaking. -

When I posted that, I almost added a parenthetical note saying 'but not by me!', and perhaps I should have. I might need to have my head examined for even considering it, but the challenge was too tempting. Attached is a popmenu that details the conversion possibilities for all the enhancements shown on the enhancement sets page. It's a bit hefty (for a popmenu) at nearly 68 MB and a little over 2.25 million lines, and at least on my system there is a brief (1 second or so) hiccup when I click the macro to open the menu. I've trimmed it down further to just under 13 MB and about 430,000 lines, although there is still a very slight stutter when it opens. At one point last night it was almost 1GB and over 32 million lines but I tried to cut redundancy as much as possible, and I'm pleased with how it turned out. To use it, unzip the attached zip file and place the .mnu file it contains in: <your game install>/data/texts/<your game language>/menus In-game, the menu can be spawned either from a keybind or a macro: /bind <your preferred key> popmenu ConvPoss /macro <your macro abbreviation> popmenu ConvPoss The macro abbreviation can be something like 'CP' or whatever you prefer. I highly recommend spawning it from the left side of the screen, because as you can see in the attached screenshot, it will extend almost completely across the width of the screen. I spot checked quite a few conversion paths for errors, but my search was not exhaustive. If you notice any issues please let me know. Also, I didn't notice any performance issues other than the brief stutter I mentioned, and while it is a large menu, I've used larger menus without issue. Edit: I made a slight tweak. I thought it was a bit redundant showing possibilities for every enhancement within a set, especially since the 'By Category' and "By Rarity' possibilities are identical for enhancements within a set. So, I dropped that submenu and now it shows the options by Set, Category, and Rarity for each set, rather than for each enhancement in each set. I added a note (by way of a title) in the 'By Set' menu to remind the user to exclude the origin enhancement from the possible options when converting by set. Otherwise, it is unchanged, and that shaved about 55 MB off the file size, down to a more reasonable 13 MB. The screenshot now shows an example of 'By Set' options, as well as an example of 'By Category'. A couple of months ago I got the urge to play EverQuest again (Project 1999, which I had not played in about a year and a half), but that only lasted a couple of weeks. More recently, I have dusted off my copy of Icewind Dale and am slowly taking a fresh party through that game.

It was. When badges first came out on the test server, I spent almost all of my time there hunting them down. There were other folks who were better at it than I was, but I remember being the first to find several of the badges/plaques in Boomtown. I think I hunted in other zones as well but if I remember there was something of a collective effort to fan out and cover as many zones as possible. I remember there was one plaque in Boomtown that I knew existed but that I could not find for the life of me. Someone showed me how to replace the texture for the plaque (in much the same way that Vidiotmaps or custom sounds are loaded via the data folder) so that the plaque would be more visible (see attached screenshot), and I was finally able to find it (although I think someone else found it before I did). The rest of the ones I found, though, were found without such aid, although I have no idea if other folks used similar methods to help locate badges and plaques. I do remember there being a record of some kind (perhaps a thread on the CoH forums?) where they kept track of who found which badges. I've looked for it a time or two but have never been able to find it. If anyone is curious the date on that screenshot is 9/11/2004, five days before Badges went live with Issue 2.

The wiki probably has most of what you need. For instance: Hero, Villian, and Praetorian Day Jobs Invention System Capacity Exploration badges do grant a small amount of experience (which varies with level) but I don't know if it is documented anywhere In my OP in the thread below, I mention the sum total of all the goodies I was rewarded when I did a full granting of all badges on the beta server. It's not broken down by specific badge, but it gives you an idea of some of the other types of rewards that are granted from earning badges.

There is, more or less. Follow the instructions in this post: Once you run the bind file, your badges will be dumped into your log file and you can get the list from there. You'll probably need to do a bit of cleanup with a text editor, but the list of badges will be there. If you don't want to upload the badges to the Badger site, you can ignore the part about uploading your log file after you run the bind file. I don't think there is a cleaner way to do it at the moment. -

This might be implementable as a pop menu, but as stated earlier in the thread, with all the potential possibilities it would take some effort to keep it all on the screen. I took the wiki enhancement sets page and made a 2-page (printable front-back) quick reference guide (attached) that more or less serves the same purpose in an accessible format. I keep it handy when I am converting to make sure I don't chase my tail. It's only got set and PvP IOs but I imagine that covers most folks needs. <outdated PDF removed> -

Background: I'd like to add a screenshot to the page for the Tried and True badge showing the badge location, but I've only been able to visit the first location for the badge (in open-world City Hall). This badge requires visiting the Omega Team memorial during the cape mission as well as during the Dr. Kahn task force, but I'm not sure if the badge marker is in the same location. Request: Verification of the badge marker location for the Tried and True badge (shown in the attached screenshot) for the cape mission and Dr. Kahn task force locations. If the marker is in a different location in either of those instances, please provide a screenshot if possible of the location. EDIT: Request Complete! Thanks Aberrant!

Background: In the process of updating the hero merit rewards page with GM Kal's updated data, I noticed that a few of the rewards did not change for Homecoming. One in particular I knew had actually changed, as I had recently run it, so for those that did not change I have been double-checking them in-game as best I can. Most of the ones I have checked have actually changed for Homecoming, but I could use some help with the arcs below. Request: Screenshots of the merit reward amounts awarded for these specific hero missions/story arcs (missions with strikethrough text have been confirmed since the initial post): EDIT: Request Complete! Thanks to all who contributed! Levels 10-15: The Peace Slayers An Absence of Shadows Levels 30-34: Stop the Pact Defend the War Walls Levels 35-39: The Arrival of the Oranbegans They Call Me the Doctor Levels 46-50: Upon the Psychic Plane Project: World Wide Red To Save a Thousand Worlds Here's an example of the kind of screenshot I need. It shows the merit reward amount as well as any end-of-mission text for verification.

I don't want to speak for other editors of the unofficial Homecoming wiki, but one issue that I occasionally encounter is that I find a page that needs editing but I don't have all the information needed to fully update said page, and/or the process of gathering all the information myself from within the game is labor intensive. I thought it might be worthwhile to create a thread where wiki editors can post specific requests detailing the information they need, and players can fill the requests by replying with screenshots or other means, as appropriate. This way, the wiki editors have easier access to the information they need to update the wiki. It also provides opportunities for the playerbase to contribute to the wiki, particularly for those that might otherwise be reluctant to edit the wiki themselves. I would prefer that the posts in this thread be limited to either wiki editors requesting information, or replies to those requests for information. There is a general unofficial Homecoming wiki thread for questions/comments about the wiki and for noting specific pages that may need updating. Thanks in advance for helping update the unofficial Homecoming wiki!

Playing the market does not generate inf. Playing the market trades existing inf between characters, and in the process destroys a portion of that inf via fees. Defeating enemies, completing missions, and otherwise playing game content generates inf. -
It does still work, and Greycat was on the money. An easy way to estimate would be to go to Atlas (or whatever zone you planned to record in) and record a 1-2 minute demo during the time of day that you plan to make your long recording. Look at the file size and multiply it by 60 (for 1 minute) or 30 (if you did 2 minutes) to give yourself a rough idea of the space an hours worth might occupy. If your plan is to record a costume contest or similar event, then try to do your test while such an event is taking place.

Thanks for checking on that! I was trying to picture it in my mind and thinking the enhancement icons were the same size as power icons, and I should have checked the image dimensions in that wiki page I linked. Stinks that they are too big, I had plans to try a couple of them with some of my macros! -

That was the first suggestion that popped to mind for me as well. You might also be able to use one of the 'pogs' that are the background for enhancement icons. Each enhancement icon is actually made of 4 elements: a left and right half of the border, the background 'pog' that signifies the class of enhancement (defense, damage, etc), and the unique icon image. The 'pogs' are shown on the table on the Enhancement Colors wiki page, under the column 'Color Example'. These are all the pog names I could find in the piggs (spoilered to avoid the wall o' text): There are ten more pog names listed above than there are in the wiki table, so a few of them are probably unused for enhancements. For those I noted the color as best I could in parentheses. If you have access to a pigg viewer then you can check them out beforehand. I normally wouldn't post until I could test myself, but I can't test these at the moment so I can't be totally sure they work, But, if you want to try these just use the form below (using the accuracy pog as an example): /macro_image "E_POG_ACCURACY" "Tooltip" "Command" -
I like the OP's idea. I detest Ninja Run and tolerate Beast Run, but I think the idea in the OP is optimal.

Market Crash giving out multiple Purple recipes?

As far as I know, the purple recipe that Market Crash grants is awarded concurrently with the Loyal Customer badge. At least, that was the behavior I repeatedly witnessed when I was doing some extensive testing of /badge_grant badge tags on the beta server. That doesn't really help determine whether what you saw was a bug or just a fluke, but I thought it worth mentioning. I have also heard rumors of a level requirement to receive the purple recipe. In the case of my beta tests, I am fairly sure all the characters were level 1. However, that is not to say that the /badge_grant command does not override a level requirement that otherwise governs when earning the badge through normal gameplay.- 1 reply

Looks like it might be texture_library/world/Common_Decor/Kirk_Batch01/off_clock02.texture in the original piggs, but the hands appear to be separate.
