  1. Here's a popular recipe: What do I, the new user with no historical knowledge of high demand items and their price, do here? List it for 3,000, list it for 3,001? I, the new user with no historical knowledge of high demand items and their price, looks at this and thinks that 3,000 is the usual price and someone spent 751,003 in a raging bout of "buy it now". Even I, the grizzled vet who can look at a recipe and at least put it in a bucket for a price range, am not certain what to make of this. This is what happens when there's no trust in the data presented. I appreciate the interactivity of devs here, if it's not too much trouble l'd love to see a GM comment on where this lies on their priority queue.
  2. Thermal has 2 debuffs, both on a long-ish timer (Heat Exhaustion & Melt Armor) but with a decent recharge build are perma-able. Is the MM set on FF? If s/he goes /Cold and you go Thermal, well, the world will be your oyster.
  3. Let's be frank, 200 merits is the floor, many people (100% of people that are me) brought in a different alt for each round for 400 merits total. So to the "leave the zone cap alone" crowd, are you ok with the reward merit going to about 10 merits? Because that's the amount that aligns it somewhat with other merit rewards.
  4. Take a knee (that is - go into Rest) against a minion with no mez, like a CoT Guide (the one with the sword). Go afk for a long, long time. By now my decision path is: If a lowbie (< 45) that I'm grinding levels with, then BiB. If a character I PLd to 50, then PJ
  5. Excellent! I wish I could be in "fly on the wall" mode for the next Hamikazi attempt.
  6. Lord Recluse is another. You can do any of the patron's fourth arc in Oro to unlock.
  7. I was about to start a thread for this, but I'm glad to see it's been brought up before, but sadly buried on page 8 now. I took 2 screenshots to show. I don't see them above so I'll still share: First, here's Defender's Bastion A/D/E This was the result regardless of how many times I refreshed. Next is an interesting case that would return 2 different sets of results for Sentinal's Ward. 1 result set looked reasonable (7Mish sales, not included due to my laziness). The other is below: I could refresh this with "find" and the result would rotate from empty (no results), this result of 275k and 500k and the "right" one (right in parenthesis because I don't know that it's right). Small editorial time - if I won a contest to be dev king for a day, this is what I'd have fixed. Users are getting bad, unreliable data. Data that's used to make decisions with in-game currency. This needs to be 100% right, 100% of the time. Please please please move up the priority list.
  8. A means of checking in game data while out of game. Info about badges, both obtained and missing, about what characters have filled buy orders or sales. I could go on about what information I'd like to see from this terminal in the city.
  9. Good post, I hope it gets lots of likes. Everybody knows that the most helpful reply to someone saying they're having trouble is to tell them "lolz its ez 4 meeeee!"
  10. That mission is the finale to Scirroco's second arc. Unless you went straight to that arc via Oro, you should have already completed the first arc (when you fought Serafina) and have the patron powers already unlocked. Scirocco's arc is IMO a tier ahead of all the other 3 for difficulty. It's the one I choose when I feel I have a character looking for that kind of challenge. It's the one I avoid if I don't. That particular mission is even notable for Scirocco's arc, you could face Ice Mistral twice (she spawns both in a static mob placement and also as an ambush) and Scirocco himself is far from easy. All this to say, fret not, you've reached the 1% of content that's actually hard. With EBs, you should be able to handle that mission with one teammate. What I'd do with an SOd character for this is bring t3 insps. Maybe 8 purples and 8 t1 purple insps. A t3 + t1 = 45% def. This is to allow a 4 minute fight for each of Ice Mistral (you can skip her static mob) and Scirocco. I honestly don't know if that's too much or too little, but it feels right. Add 4 break frees (t1 is fine) and the rest t3 reds. Don't engage either of the EBs until Dom is ready to fire. A good insp loadout goes a loooong way to covering up deficiencies for a short while. The conventional wisdom, for those just seeking the path of least resistance to open patrol pools, is to choose Black Scorpion.
  11. I don't get the notion that it's bad for Stalkers and I really really like my Scrapper. The endurance "heal" basically covers endurance woes from the time you get it to when you don't need it any more due to bonuses. I also don't get the notion of "trading raw defense" either. This was very easy to soft-cap to all positions. Then on top of that you've got the bag of tricks. To the question about the Stealth (Shinobi-iri) ability, no way should you skip it. It's not just stealth (which as mentioned above, stacks with another form of stealth for pve invis) but a key component for +Def (5+ %). So ultimately to the main question posed - yes, it's good.
  12. I know it's not a bug, but man oh man for something that gives no rewards, they're a real pain. Fortunately with Oro, if you're looking to unlock LRSF, you can just do any of the patrons' 4th arc. I'll probably never do this mission from BS again.
  13. My final quality check is to select Windows> Sets and Bonuses and just scroll down to look for red. Sometimes it doesn't matter (like a small hp buff given in the 2nd slot when you're chasing the bonus in the 4th), sometimes it does.
  14. I'd swap the Preventative Medicines in Lifegiving Spores with the Panaceas in Wild Bastion. Doing so would have the double benefit of allowing you to replicate the Panacea proc when you're standing on the patch and furthermore, the proc works on anyone on the patch, pets included. I verified this myself. Note - I did this with a controller I have with NA and a MM on another account and I saw the minions getting the heal or end proc.
  15. That seems reasonable. Though I didn't check specifically the number of catalysts in storage, I do remember thinking that I was expecting fewer to be stored when I went back.
  16. I know we have Beasts, but I really really really want Apes. T3 - chimpanzees (ranged power - poo flinging) T2 - orangutans (also - poo flinging) T1 - gorilla The poo flinging suggestion was for yucks, the suggestion of ape minions is not.
  17. This time around, we're just doing Sonic Resonance paired with anything. Unfortunately that's not available to Blasters so none of them this time around. While I'm typing, might as well give a quick update. The leveling certainly is fast. After 2 weeks (4 sessions) most folks are in the low-mid 40s. My character is 43. By no means should anyone be dissuaded to join still because of a level disparity. We can sk anybody and/or exemplar down for a tf/sf.
  18. Here's the basic facts: A new level 50, slotted with the regular version of both ATO sets (Defender in this case) joined an Ice Mistral, malefactoring to level 40. Early, it occurred to me that I had not upgraded those IOs so I made a quick base run to collect catalysts to upgrade my 2 sets of 6 Defender ATOs. I took 6 catalysts out of storage, went through the upgrade process and noticed I was no longer able to upgrade after 3 pieces. I took out another bunch of catalysts (didn't really count, let's say 10) and kept track of each upgrade. I noticed that the catalyst count went down by 2 every time I upgraded. I put all the catalysts back into storage and retrieved one. I went to the upgrade screen, which then did not give me the option to upgrade, just to reset and exit. When I exited that screen, I had lost that catalyst. I did try this another time just to verify and indeed, a catalyst was simply lost if I had one. I thought maybe the problem was that I was malefactored, so I waited until the SF was completed and my level returned to 50 The same thing happened again. I logged onto another account and the same thing happened. Then I exited the game, closed Tequila then restarted Tequila and the game. The issue no longer manifested itself and one catalyst upgrade one ATO, as expected. I don't know what caused what, but to summarize, when Exemplared/Malefactored, I would lose 1 catalyst on each upgrade attempt. If I had 2 (or more) catalysts the IO would become superior and I would have 2 fewer catalysts. If I only had one, I would simply lose it. This behavior persisted even after attaining combat level 50 again. The behavior stopped after I restarted the game and the launcher.
  19. Thanks, I do promise that I read that article but skimmed that particular section and missed it. I hate being the "google this for me" guy. ETA - to clarify, I actually don't buy them attuned, I buy the recipe at lowest level and craft it. That tends to be notably cheaper than the crafted IO and there's no advantage to having the level scale with you.
  20. I do the same typically. Right now though, I happen to have some proc recipes (that I am planning to use, like the Lady Grey that I mentioned) drop at lvl 50 and I'm just wondering if I should bother attuning them or just slot them.
  21. Here's something I should know but can't say I do for sure. If I'm not concerned with set bonuses, does level matter for a damage proc firing off? This is specifically about uncommon and rare sets, not PVP or Very Rare. I know the latter 2 categories will work. For an example, if I slot a level 50 Lady Grey chance for negative damage in Irradiate, a power selected at level 6, will the proc have a chance to fire when exemplared to lvl 30? Thanks in advance. To reiterate, this is just regarding damage (or debuff/status affecting) procs.
  22. I'll take the first of these 2 that would do it for all my characters - H. Jon Benjamin Jon Bailey I guess I'm a sucker for "Jon"s.
  23. Patience grasshopper. Yes there may be spikes in the day where rare salvage sells for 7 digits but normalcy returns. I did have to up my standard rare bid price by 25k, since it does appear the floor has been raised recently. However, it's certainly not true that "rare salvage costs 1M". At least it doesn't to someone willing to wait an hour or 2, certainly 24.
  24. For the questions: * 2 sources of diamagnetic won't remotely be overkill for an AV. It stacks up to 4 times on a target. * The Annihilation proc will of course increase your damage done. It will only ever apply once at a time though. * Well sure, in a fight with lvl 57 (54+3) Mot, I'd bet on him, but for most AVs, certainly even cons, you should be fine. As to rad blast vs sonic, I'm not seeing how 1 proc that may stick a 20% res debuff is providing more damage than a blast set that stacks 20% with each attack (with 2 exceptions). The -def is irrelevant, most high level builds have 95% to-hit against purples and if they don't because of an AV's DEF, then -def won't be much help, since that's so severely resisted.
  25. I voted Thugs/Cold because somehow, astonishingly enough, Cold is the 3rd least played secondary based on that dev data posting. So more people need to play it.
