Hi everyone!

We're going to be trying out something new this month and run our first official AE Contest!

 

We will be taking submissions from now, November 2nd until November 30th for our Holiday AE Contest.


We will announce the winner on Tuesday, December 15th. 

 

Contest Rules

  • Create a story arc using all the objectives below.
  • Story arcs must adhere to the Code of Conduct.
  • Only one entry per player.
  • Include the following information when submitting an arc.
    • Arc ID
    • Arc Name
    • Author
    • Number of Missions
    • Description
    • Photo (optional - will not effect judging, we just like the pictures!)
  • Only the arcs posted on this thread will be included in the contest. Please do not submit via DM or Discord.

 

Contest Objectives - The story arc must contain all of the following criteria or will be immediately disqualified.

  • Create a 3 mission story arc (only 3 missions - anything longer will be disqualified. Less is okay.)
  • Arc must contain 3 destroyable objects
  • Must contain a Winter Holiday Theme element. (Plot / Characters / etc - be creative!)
  • Must include the phrase "Pineapples do NOT belong on pizza" (Either in the mission text or NPC Dialogue)
  • Must include 1 NPC to rescue that then becomes an Ally

 

Prizes - We will be handing out the following rewards as prizes!

  • First Place: 1,000 Reward Merits, 5 Winter Packs, Special Golden Title
  • Honorable Mentions: 500 Reward Merits, 3 Winter Packs, Special Golden Title

Please Note: In addition to the objective requirements, we will be judging based on the quality of the mission, the plot development, the characters, and the over all fun factor. So, bring your "A" game, and make this a fun competition! Be creative!

 

Good luck! We look forward to seeing all the great content for our first ever AE Contest! This will be in addition to our regular Dev's Choice, so please keep those submissions coming in!

Some simple questions for the contest:

  • Is it 3 destroyable objects (so having the same object set to appear in 3 locations is fine), or 3 different Destroy Object objectives?

  • Again, Is this exactly or at least?
  • Can this be in a narrative sense (That you would rescue the NPC as a free a captive or escort objective first, and they then appear later in the arc as an ally, surrounded or not), or does it have to be an Ally objective where they immediately become an ally?

Please consider the objectives to be "at least" basis (unless otherwise indicated)

Clarification request - must the 'destroyable objects' be objects that the players are expected to destroy?  Or may defensible objects that mobs are trying to destroy and that players must defend also count?
