So I have nicknames for everyone on the forums. Just a thing I do with everyone, does anyone else do this?

Examples

@Greycat is aloof neutral feline.

@Bill Z Bubba is Hellboy.

@Luminara is my sweet baboo.

@TheZag is rickroll mofo.

Etc

Etc

 

Is it just me? I do the same thing in rl too. Susie Q, String Bean, Ba donk a donk, etc all co workers.

Not necessarily nicknames, but I do find myself saying the screen names in weird ways in my head. Like Bill Z's my mind just reads as "Be-illza-bub" Which is, of course... duh, look at the name, but its a subconscious reaction.

 

Something that I do find interesting is back in the old days when I teamed with friend I knew in person, we often ended up calling ourselves our online names in public settings unintentionally. Either one of us would say something and respond without thinking, which would invariably follow up with an awkward look from those around us before we'd both go "... oh, right."
