I think the best solution would be to auto exemp you down to the max level of the arc, vs not giving any rewards at all.

SS/Fire is definitely a bit slower than Rad, & haven't tried quills yet. However... it is much easier to farm with SS due to much lower endurance usage. I'm constantly having to watch my endurance with rad - and don't have to give it a 2nd thought with SS.

I took this image from the ORIGINAL year 1 anniversary celebration on the Freedom server ( so many years ago ). Good times gathering in AP and partying. :)

As with most endgame task forces, I wish they would add an incarnate option to make it more difficult. With this setting, perhaps: 1. Give all the mobs an additional level or two. 2. Bump up the stats of the AVs. 3. Give the AV an extra ability or two.

Unfortunately, it probably boils down to who you encounter in-game. There is a small percentage of the population which greatly enjoys registering complaints on other players, and if you run into one of them with a character that even remotely resembles an existing comic character, you're probably toast. I have few tribute heroes, as well as patriotic themed heroes that could be considered "Captain America'ish" - and I've had one genericed so far. I've never understood fully why this is the ONLY mmo that has this issue - every other mmo I've played has copyrighted characters out the wazoo, and the issue has never been brought up. Copyright is being grossly abused the last few decades, and is going well past the point of just protecting people from losing profit on their creations. Creating a character in an MMO hurts no one's profit.

Probably be a major rework to implement. At this point, probably best to request new costume pieces similar to the muscular tights they already have.

Ouroboros: Expand patron arcs to all alignments
krj12 replied to Replacement's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Although I don't think it's a big deal, I can see the issue some might have with having to flip to the dark side to get power sets. I think a reasonable compromise would be to add arcs on blue side to get equivalent power pools - just name them slightly different. -
Eliminating purples is not going to give the game longevity, unless you think running a million radios to get a few drops is what people want to do. Longevity comes from adding new content and new powersets. I vote no on this idea.

I think one of the things that makes the game feel stale is having to do the same maps over and over, regardless of the opposing faction. This suggestion applies mostly to radio missions, though it could potentially come into play in mission arcs. What would be nice is to create a series of small map sections that can be procedurally linked together something like the linkages in the base editor. In addition to this: 1. Random music clips played at the beginning. 2. Random lighting effects - kind of like the dark blue or disco light you see in the Carnie warehouse map. Environmental effects like fog would be nice as well. 3. How about more than 1 enemy faction present on the map - just to give a little variety? 4. Could be wrong, but most if not all radios are indoor maps, how about some outdoor missions as well? On an unrelated note, it would be nice if it could be fixed so that the map is correctly mapped to the entrance - as opposed to entering an office building through a rickety door in a hillside.

[Beta] Patch Notes for April 4th, 2020
krj12 replied to Faultline's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
I don't understand the disdain for DOs and SOs, they work just fine at lower levels considering the mobs you're facing. My suggestions would go in a different direction: Make them drop much more often ( like they used to ); make more or all of them usable by my origin when they do drop. Make the level range where they become useless a bit wider, ( like 5 vs the 3 we have now ). Reduce their cost from the vendor. -
Suggestion: Remove limit of 4 Pool Power sets.
krj12 replied to JumpingSpider's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If it doesn't take much coding, I'd have no problem with this. I have a few characters where I'd like to swap out one less useful power pool choice for flight, for example. -
I was trying to put together a Lambda trial yesterday evening, when an existing LAM and BAF suddenly finished and appeared in zone ( Oro ). Needless to say, competing with two other large groups of people to fill your remaining slots is something of a royal pain. So my suggestion is to have a new overlay that only appears in cooperative zones like Oro or Pocket D, which shows a list of "In Progress" itrials. Example ( listed in elapsed time order): ---------------------------------- In Progress Trials: Lambda (Elapsed Time: 7:12 ) BAF ( Elapsed Time: 5:35 ) Lambda (Elapsed Time: 2:11 ) DD (Elapsed Time: 1:05 ) TPN ( Elapsed Time: 0:55 ) ------------------------------------ Having something like this tells me if its worth it starting up another group, or if I can just wait a few minutes to join an existing group. Another enhancement that would be nice is an indicator that the trial leader can check to indicate that this is a multi run - and show this indicator in the above list.

The majority of incarnate powers do something like boost certain stats - like endurance usage or recharge, or provide something like damage resist procs, which are useful to almost any archtype. I do have an issue with Lore and Judgement, since they go against the grain of what most archtypes were meant to be. A tank shouldn't have a ranged nuke - that is the province of ranged dps Likewise, a scrapper shouldn't have a pet - that should belong solely to archtypes like MMs or Controllers. My suggestion is to have archtype specific powers. Examples: Major Defense Boost to a specific damage type - useful for tanks or melee to fill in that one weakness. Major Resistance Boost to a specific damage type - ditto Increased Aggro Cap - very specific and useful to the tank archtype Global Increased Range - for ranged dps If this is too difficult to implement, maybe something generic everyone could use, like: - Resistance to blindness - Resistance to being endurance sapped - Lowered or removed travel suppression - Regenerative ablative shield Just a few ideas, but I think it would be good for the game to return the archtypes to what they were originally intended to be, instead of spreading powers around to everyone.

Poll on Big Picture Game Change and Development Priorities
krj12 replied to Dr Causality's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The game needs more end game content. More story arcs and more incarnate trials would be nice. As far as nerfing powers, I would say an emphatic no - the only time a nerf should occur is if something is game breaking.- 84 replies

Afterbuner - Simple to implement I think ...
krj12 replied to Carandiru's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I personally would rather it be a passive ability that doesn't affect the physics of flight, just the speed. I strongly dislike how it makes you stop on a dime vs the small amount of drift that normal flight has, which feels more natural. -
I've never noticed that this one-use for one mission temp power used any endurance. Why is this considered an issue?
-
I think every other vet level should keep giving merit rewards past 100, just keep it going like it does up to level 99. I think a stat increase every level, even a minor one, could inevitably become OP with enough levels - maybe once every 50 or 100 levels. Having said that, I think the xp needed to gain a new level should become much higher as you progress past 99.
-
I could see something like a rotation of trainers in that spot - would be a very nice feature to see them relieving each other of duty, periodically. Maybe a rotation of Ms Liberty, BaB, and Coyote?

The unaddressed problem with new Electric powers
krj12 replied to Draeth Darkstar's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Instead of sapping endurance, make it sap defense and resistance (maybe slightly higher effect on energy defense and resist), suddenly it becomes very useful solo and in teams. -
I realize we already have cold/ice sets across multiple archtypes, but.... I really wish I could make a Captain Cold type character, with a freeze gun. Maybe a power set that is a cross between ice, bream rifle, and dual pistols. And, of course, we'd need the appropriate new Parka costume parts to go with it. :)

My (unreasonable) AE Wishlist thread
krj12 replied to Sakura Tenshi's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
To get back into AE mission building, I'd want several things corrected that extremely frustrated me on live: 1. The ability to precisely places bosses and mission objectives exactly where I want them on the map. I was so frustrated on live with certain objectives spawning in very awkward places ( like at the beginning of the map ). 2. More missions per arc. 3. More space to work with. I was so limited in the amount of verbiage I could have per arc. 4. Ability to create larger than life arch-villains, so that they stood out. Nice to haves: 1. Some way to lay out our own maps using building blocks ( like rooms and hallways ). 2. Ability to place music cues at any point on the map. 3. Ability to set lighting at any point on the map, kind of like the base builder. -
Short of this, maybe the following additions: 1. A quick mail to self link/button to go along with the regular create email link. 2. A "Send and Create Another" button to go along with the regular Send ( defaulting in the previous email's 'send to' info, as well as the same attachment, if you still have any in inventory )

This is probably the umpteenth iteration of this request, but I again vote emphatically yes. To add to the requests: 1. The Family 2. Redcaps 3. 5th column
