Proposal for Regular Content Rewards Buff
biostem replied to Andreah's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'd like to see contacts in all zones created/updated, that offer repeatable "Kill X" missions for enemies that spawn outside in said zones. Further, I'd like to see some areas in 50+ zones, updated to include level 54 enemies, (in the red sections and/or where applicable). -
Steadfast Protection: Knockback Protection is also a good option, since DA is already a resist-based set...
-
Also try this approach - Only keep the minimum number of armor toggles on that you actually need. You have to weigh landing a hard hitting attack vs having to use multiple lower-end cost ones as well...
-
Also, I get taking fighting for tough and weave, but why take both boxing AND kick? Air superiority is a nice attack, but you don't seem to have foregone any of your MA attacks to fit it in. It seems superfluous...
-
Looked again - you don't have any acc's slotted in your attacks?
-
Do you have any 50 alts on Homecoming? If so, maybe run a couple TFs or raids to earn 100 merits and buy yourself a Panancea: Chance for +HP & +End. It really helps! Later, consider a Miracle +recovery and even later, a Numina's +rec/+regen. Heck, a Yin TF gives about 25 merits by itself. If you can hold out to 35, you can join Vanguard and get in on a mothership raid as well...

Frankly, I'm fine w/ keeping AR as-is. I just want a "run-and-gun" set that focuses more on mobility and less flashy, more practical attacks...
-
It's tough because some things look good "on paper", but come up wanting in practice. For instance, poison has some very potent debuffs, but in practice, the small AoEs make it a finicky set to use...

Really nice! Kind of makes me think what a 80s-90s CoH theatrical animated film would look like...
-
I would love to see some mechanic where you could move while firing - even if it incurred an accuracy penalty or something. Conversely, it'd be neat to be able to "cancel" any of the attacks with longer animations - maybe even recovering a portion of the recharge time of said power...
-
If all else fails, I look for units of measurement associated with the particular powerset(s) I've selected: Amp, Volt, Watt, Newton, Coulomb, Curie, Octave, Decibel, Fahrenheit, etc...

Personally, I don't think the issue is the empathy set itself - I think the issue is how *some* people take it and only employ the healing abilities, foregoing the set's other benefits and ignoring their secondary, (generally if a defender), entirely. I'm not against buffing the set inasmuch as more emphasis could be placed on just how useful the other abilities are. That being said, it would be cool if recovery and regeneration auras could simply be made into a "affects all teammates" type of ability, so such an empath no longer needs to announce "Gather for RA!"

What is the expectation for how quickly you should be able to get your T4s? I mean, I have them on a few characters, and I got them by running iTrials, doing TFs, raids, and so on. It did take some time to do, but that seems appropriate to me...

Instead of this, I'd probably ape the "form" abilities from staff fighting or bio armor - call it "stances" and have each provide a different benefit. For instance, an "all-out attack" stance could increase damage and recharge rates, a defensive stance could increase defense and regeneration, and a balanced stance could increase tohit and recovery, (or some variation thereof).

I have searched google and the forums, so far nothing helps, can you?

I'm not so much thinking it's a bandwidth issue inasmuch as it may be an overly restrictive WiFi policy at that particular hotel; Perhaps the type of communication required to actually connect to the game server, (as opposed to the initial login server), is different in some way that is being blocked. Either way, let us know!- 18 replies

Does the game work on *any* connections, with that laptop? It'd be a good idea to tell if it's a connection issue vs a laptop one. Can you go to a coffee place or maybe a public library - anyplace that has an internet connection you can try. Wired, if available, would be the best way to establish a baseline...- 18 replies

I can't speak to the original intent. It's not impossible, but then you have to wonder what proportion of crafted/utilized IOs are meant to be from random drops or directly purchased through merits or the AH...

It would be nice, as an option, to be able to receive recipe drops for sets that you have outleveled.

Why does every TF have to be a +0 snooze fest?
biostem replied to FungalGrowth's topic in General Discussion
A lot really depends upon what my particular goals happen to be for any given character or phase of their career. Sometimes I just want the merits so I can buy a recipe or other item I want for said character, in which case, the fastest path for me is to run a TF on a lower difficulty. Some people may just want a badge that's associated with a TF. Other people find, especially for some of the older TFs, that the repeated "kill all enemies" or "click X glowies" are bothersome, and are really only interested in the final AV fight or if there's a unique location at the end. I always emphasize that communication is key; If you join someone else's TF, then you really should express how you feel and either remain or leave if you (dis)agree with the approach they're taking. If YOU want to start a TF using your criteria, then more power to you! I have no sympathy for you, if you are complaining but won't take charge to lead a TF yourself... -
Suggested QoL change - Pool Power Standardization

They had to put the power somewhere, and it fits the theme. Either way, them's the breaks, so learn to work within the game's systems... -
Suggested QoL change - Pool Power Standardization
biostem replied to Zepp's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The issue is that for every "but MY character doesn't need [insert prerequisite power here] because of reason X", there is at least one "yes they do" rationalization... -

Suggested QoL change - Pool Power Standardization
biostem replied to Zepp's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
If their mutation or armor is what makes them tougher, and is such an integral part of their abilities, then perhaps another AT is a better fit. That, or just take boxing or kick, but don't slot it up, to reflect that while said character can use said hardened exterior to hit things, they haven't honed that ability, hence why said abilities are only rudimentary... -
The Mastermind Wishlist: Completed, Uncut, and En Masse
biostem replied to Monos King's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I would love a simple tic box where we can opt to disable certain MM pet powers - if I don't want my Commando to use full auto, but still want him to have access to the other 2nd upgrade powers, that should be my call to make. I'd also love to see supremacy grant my pets increased benefit from my secondary set.- 152 replies
