That's why I save CS only for the hard targets, as the reset of Power Siphon or going for the best dps. For normal mobs, I generally go with just the first 3 attacks and quick snipe.
-
I admit, that is a really nice perk 🙂 However, the benefits of the ability to boost them usually comes from being able to boost them enough to get them to just the right recharge or just a bit more end reduction.
-
Yeah! Don't make the mistake I did early in the game. Wanted to use those PvP IOs early in the build, so attuned them. Can't +5 them after that. 😞 Luckily, for those I just converted into the PvP IO Procs, as those couldn't be +5 anyways, so IOs saved! Also, when you do want to use them, getting those procs set at level 10 (able to be slotted at level 7 I believe) are just as good as them being at level 50. 🙂

Honestly, I don't know. Some of it may be that the taunt aura is tied to the mez protection, when I then have to turn off if I want to actually make use of the stealth aspect of the set. I know it annoys me so much every time I play the set. KM/SD is purely about the animations KM uses with shield. The first three attacks aren't as bad (though I still wish they used the original animations), but Concentrated Strike is just so bad imo.

Well, just wasn't enjoying the KM/EA. Honestly, I thought I had a build/concept that would finally have me enjoying EA and I was wrong. KM/SR at 50 now and been a lot more enjoyable (that said, I wish I enjoyed the animations of KM with Shield, as I'd love that combo, I'm sure). | Copy & Paste this data into Mids Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1469;684;1368;HEX;| |78DA5D93596F524114C7E7C2A52C651110E802455A590A72013F81C64AA2148BA53| |12E51BCE240AF10207049DAAFE18B2F26EEDB5771FD12FAD81635F1C1C4E0E19E33| |429D00BF9C3367F99F99A1BCB7E16C348AE798E4BED05607835AB5DE577B3DDEB79| |587BAAA6BDD0E9B2C2B7C2362AB56E66DCE9592D6E1BA56AF9DD775B5DE8AFEDBDD| |E00DDE1970A53A9C58DBBCD1E67B7CC09C956EB7AD6C72B5A7759A1E61DCE7FDC1A| |ED6731976516BEEEAB0EB33AC1DE8D2EBF65145E8624FAB2B555D6DB7260286B5B2| |3AD0797F7F018425E07BDD0B3F92A1756C612933630599D9F64D8CF9810D66D88E2| |6F101D2D94296ADD36499FD99CC2A33B7433236DD2EE4093732E741DE808E92E828| |5147670DCC240453471F75F451C793D4F126249B45B29992C466706D52CCCE8271E| |44292484DAE805C0B259B2D247389642E91CC02C9DC82602B05336B009D1570DA19| |39ED3186EDC0392F22E729D20B4E97E8E52267B88882C297902B25147615823DA28| |28782EFC0A85E31AAF73D46AE7C207E449EFA44FC4CFC82DC868A7E51D19F45A126| |700684FAC0181633832B24648682927183B1103187326367B1A80CC18B42D1E2213| |AD78E8823E277E4E91FC49FC82A242F0B45CB34E32D9831221E50E48909339E2213| |CF88CF892F907721294A6358A25C369CC984C9D09A4C21D7D789696206937740C6A| |A187895DE409ADE40FABF37F015A4C745A7F8637C6DE92C563CA31073C43C325BC0| |4E7EE89412A7957A89CEEC2BE26B64EE0DF12DB2F00EF90D3A67C469657EA3D3071| |515E154E8F525C19917979A5FC6C30ECB4CAC317C26371D95A7FFD5F1E6CCBEC4AC| |587ECE86ACC82210922523F9C0314D668C9ED3D18CD3CC62F4462E4BC629C90768C| |F5DC3A33C3C5621851546C72A3CC4F6A647C411DDEC2F64293D1D746655A04641CC| |757BD650678D7BB3C65F97BED781| |-------------------------------------------------------------------| This is the build I'm going with right now. However, thinking maybe I should be dumping Tactics for Repulsing Torrent or Ball Lightning. I do however like Tactics for the Confuse/Fear Resist that comes with it. If I did do it, I'd move the Gaussian Set to Power Siphon. Then use a set with at least +5% Recharge bonus in it for RT or BL.
-
I know I'd love a set that's like Shield Defense, but as a Shield Bubble instead of a shield on the arm. Not only do I like the bubble armor, it'd have both hands free so Kinetic Melee doesn't look so bad and dual wielders could use the set.
-
I'm not against the idea of other resists being added into sets. I'm not sure I agree WP thematically screams slow resist to me, but again, it's not like I'd be against it. I'd rather see the set get more -To-Hit attached to RttC
-
No Slow Resist may be due to it being all toggle/passive except for t9...which I can't recall if it can be effected by -RCH like other powers, since it's recharge can't be enhanced.
-
Yeah, I will say my max resist Brute, sadly, didn't feel as tough as my max resist Tankers. Which may be due to the added health and ATO procs.
-
Maybe, but max resist Dark Armor and max resist Fire Armor on Tankers feels pretty strong 🙂

If it wasn't for Infiltration detoggling powers, I'd take that instead of Hover (which is nice for the vertical). Haven't been a big fan of EA myself, but maybe that was due to concepts and the EA animations

I'd say one of the reasons it's down on the list, is it seems one either builds for defense or one builds for offense when it comes to WP. Building for both can be a bit difficult outside of a couple Primaries.
-
I might suggest replacing that DMG IO in GC with the Hecatomb IO, but wow...always interesting to see other builds, gives me ideas I hadn't thought of (I probably chase set bonuses a little to much sometimes)
-
As shown in the Pylon thread, been working on Kinetic Melee and looking at this thread, what's Katana's attack chain? I've gotten Kinetic up to a 1:40 Pylon time and @SomeGuy got 1:35. As I look at the list posted of DPS times as well, I'm wondering if some of it has to do with -Resist Procs those sets can slot, because I really am surprised by the Katana numbers (Devs, give me the Razor Sword as an option so I'll play Katana!). But I was wondering what decided on the ranking for the primaries.
-
Honestly, I had the thought of "Why not make Focused Burst just like the snipes, so it's useful?" But I'm sure it'd be considered OP to have two snipes, unless taking the FB Snipe was able to stop one from taking the other snipes. Took FB Snipe? Then no MB or Zapp. I'd take that trade up myself, just to have the animation. Another thought was turn it into a CS clone in terms of damage, so one could go with CS or FB (Martial Arts shows one could do it), but this would mean also speed up CS to match and one could either do actual crit damage or both reset Power Siphon.
-
Honestly, for the set I feel only CS needs sped up. Sadly, I feel the only way to make Focused Burst (LOVE THIS ANIMATION) worth while, is make it as good as Quick Cast Moonbeam/Zapp, but that's never going to happen. As is, it's not worth taking when one would likely grab the Snipe. Repulsing Torrent I feel is fine as is (maybe speed it up a bit). Can't fit it into a lot of builds, but if one is looking for a bit of a "save me" attack, it being knockdown doesn't seem to bad.

I will have to check it out tomorrow after work 🙂

That did help! Musculature Core - Degen Core - Hybrid Core (Passive Only) QS (4 DMG Procs - 66.25% ACC/DMG) > BB (3 DMG Procs/Superior Crit Strike Proc - 66.25% ACC/DMG / 23.19% RCH) > SB (Hecatomb +5ed, No DMG IO, +1 DMG Proc) > Zapp (Apoc +5, No DMG IO, +1 DMG Proc) > QS > BB > SB > Repeat Note: .214 second gap on that Zapp, except when I cast Power Siphon, that I would cast when the next click was QS, BB or SB...if it was Zapp next, I didn't click it until after. 1:50 (Worst Time) 476.42 DPS 1:40 (Best Time) 511.28 DPS Note: Worst time is a lie! Worst time was when I died >_> Also tried out QS > BB > SB > Repeat 2:14 - 413.99 DPS I'll likely reroll in the end to a different Secondary for concept, tho I'll miss that secondary. Not Shield tho, personally, do not like KM's animations with Shield. Edit: Tried same slotting in attacks on a non offensive secondary for 3:00 - 340.86 DPS however it had some +DMG set bonuses to try to give it a bit more. Quick build as well as the endurance would need work.
-
I have been using 2-3 Procs in the attacks, except for whatever attacks has had Critical Strikes (I put the other ATO set in Burst). As for CS, I have worked on builds that rely just on QB/ BB/SB and the Snipe. And yes, it looks like one can do without CS, putting recharges into Power Siphon to make up for lacking the Crit of recharging Power Siphon. I've come to feel that CS really needs to be put down to Total Focus level animation minimum. During regular content, I generally avoid CS and just rely on the first 3 attacks and Snipe.
-
Musculature Radial - Degenerative Core - Hybrid (Passive Only) CS > SB > BB > QS > SB > MB > Repeat 1:54 - 464 DPS This time I moved Critical Strikes to Smashing Blow. The idea that SB is being used twice, to get that +50% Crit twice. No +Recharge in Power Siphon, so it only came back on CS Crit, and it always came back on a crit before it's recharge time was up (but this may have just been on the two runs I did, I'm sure a bad streak could happen). Still haven't matched @SomeGuy 's 1:35 - Though that may be because he used Musculature Core.
-
Getting around 3:30 with KM going SB > BB > QB > Zapp > SB > BB > QB > Repeat on a KM/SR ... T4 Radial Reactive (tho I believe it's Degenerative Core for best on Pylons), Assault Hybrid (Passive only) and Musculature Radial. 35 Second Recharge on Power Siphon (no Hasten). What's Claws usually getting? CS > SB > BB > QB > SB > Zapp > Repeat (with no additional damage auras) looks to equal the high recharge on Power Siphon (maybe with Hasten it would pull ahead a bit more).
-
Pulled a 2:10 with KM/BIO Scrapper using SB > BB > QB (Superior Critical Strike Set) > Repeat w/ Moonbeam whenever it recharged. Power Siphon had 2 Level 50 Recharges +5'ed and a Guassian Proc. Thought I'd see how it did without trying to reset PS w/ Concentrated Strike. Haven't gotten that 1:35 yet 😞
-
I don't know. From my playing, better off using the first 3 attacks and Burst (the PBAOE) for normal missions. Quicker and more damage and Power Siphon is mini Fury mode. CS and Burst seem a bit to long on keeping the buffs going as good as the first three attacks. However, that CS crit to reset Power Siphon, feels to be part of what helps the sets DPS. I'm curious if one would be better off with max recharge in Power Siphon instead of using CS. For sure, feels like one would benefit from recharge in Power Siphon (not just relying on CS crit) to keep that buff up more often. With the duration of the 31% DMGT buffs lasting 20 seconds, allowing Power Siphon to do better than Build Up, if they both are maxed out in recharge, as it's quick to move up to 5 20 second buffs. Set would probably get more love from players if the animation to CS was just a bit shorter. Maybe Burst too, but CS for sure.

I'd like a Pool for the Scrappers that gives an Energy Blast like Energy Blast (Snipe or Tier 2) and a Hold that looks like Force Field or TKish with them in the air spinning. Make it one of the energy shooting Heroes Patrons if need be 😛
-
And people could always still take Scorpion Shield if they prefer that Energy Defense over Cold Resist. I was going to take Leviathan Mastery for my Ice/Cold Corruptor, until I needed the Scorpion Shield for more defense. I'd switch it to Ice Shield if I had Cold APP option.
