  1. There are certainly "small ticket" items that have wide fluctuations. T3 purple insps are subject to "I don't just need it now. I really need it NAO!" demand spikes. I don't set out to make inf with these but I do find I can put an ask price on them well above what the last 5 sales would indicate and it sells next time I log on.
  2. Most everyone I know has a spreadsheet, i certainly do.
  3. There definitely are purple patch considerations for the -res procs. I used a power analyzer with a Merc MM that had Achilles slotted in both the T3 and T2 pets. They applied them very consistently, non-stop practically but depending on which one applied it last the value would be adjusted -1 (for T2) or -2 (for T3). This actually convinced me to stop using Achilles in lower tier pets and use it in my own powers (like Infrigidate or Burst). Damage procs are fine but I don't want unique debuffs to be purple patched to irrelevance (like a T3 pet tagging a mob +3 to me, resulting in a -5 adjustment).
  4. This was disproven with the chart in the 4th post of this very thread. More details here if it helps: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Confuse_(Status_Effect)#Confusion_and_Experience The reality is, your xp is MORE EFFICIENT, with respect to rate of xp earned per unit time, by confusing mobs and hitting them with aoes to get a chunk of damage done. You can't just sit there and let the confused mob attack without you attacking as well.
  5. How dare you, the one inside is Magnum, the coolest detective in tv history. I actually do this trick to switch detectives if I get the Hawaii 5-0 guy initially.
  6. There's a Black Swan mission that's part of Maria Jenkin's arc. If I've done that arc 120 times (and that's no doubt an underestimate) then 120 times she's been in the Death Star for the mission in the arc. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Maria_Jenkins#Meet_up_with_Positron Maria also has Black Swan outside of the arc in a one-off mission https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Maria_Jenkins#Cut_off_Black_Swan's_source_of_power. I rarely do this mission (let's say 5 times) but when I do she's always outside of the spaceship. As mentioned above, a target macro makes this much easier.
  7. To the folks unfamiliar with Rikti infiltrators do the Kelly Uqua arc and read the hints along the way.
  8. The incarnate contact Max's first mission is all PPD. These will be incarnate mobs with higher to-hit and -def to go along with it, so make sure you can take a punch if you up the spawn size significantly. This badge and the Villain badge (1,000 Longbow) seem imposing but I've been with a group where did a good number of mayhems together and with all the ambushes that ensue, you can get both badges surprisingly quick. Bottom line, if I'm lvl 50 looking to get as many PPD as quickly as possible I'd do the Max mission.
  9. Currently, it's nigh impossible for 2 teammates with the same level to run through Striga content with both running the same contact (with one exception). After the initial hunt for Stephanie Peebles, one player will get a mission to waylay robots, the other to save Dr. Francois. Both of those are simply examples, the point is missions will rarely align for Stephanie Peebles (Striga part 1) and Tobias Hansen (Striga part 3). Lars Hansen (Striga part 4) does indeed seem to follow a standard mission chain. I have to confess I don't remember if Long Jack's arc (Striga part 2) can veer off. If you do these arcs from Ouro they do indeed seem to follow the same flow. My suggestion is to have the mission chain "in the wild" follow the same for Ouro.
  10. Just a reminder, this is a rogue, dare I say, illegitimate server. Probably not something a professional journalist wants to admit to publicly.
  11. How is a D-Sync provo an exploit in Benumb? That's the point of them, and frankly the point of Hamis all along. In ye olden days you could save a slot or two on acc or dmg using acc/dmg HOs. That's the same with provos in Fulcrum Shift, Benumb or Heat Exhaustion. Really perplexed at someone finding that to be an exploit.
  12. You can use a macro to e-mail an inspiration to a global. This is mostly helpful when farming with Windfall activated. No one seems to be quite sure exactly what Windfall does, or that it does what it says it does, except for one thing - it greatly increases your chances at t3 insp drops. I actually tend to fill up e-mail with insps after a non-stop hour with Windfall. I do want to clarify point 8. You can put 100 insps into ONE bin. Multiple bins means even more. If you create a base just for insps (I may have done this while in peak hording mode at one point) then you can store 1,400 inspirations. Also worth noting that Masterminds can use macros/binds to feed inspirations to minions. It's quite helpful to get adept at this especially if you play a non-healing secondary and want to pass a green insp to a minion asap.
  13. Virgil also triggers a zombie invasion.
  14. Regardless of what the badge says, the Malta Titans do not need to combine, a mob that spawns as a boss counts too.
  15. Whenever I've wanted to see the result of stacked -res I'd flashback to around lvl 30 and get some of the wailers swimming around St. Martial to attack. Doing so willshow a result of (A) to the prior question.
  16. I've got a "thing" for Cold (Bots, Thugs, Necro, Demons all at 50, all t4s with Cold). I've never had an issue with the lack of a heal and never take the Medicine pool. It does behoove you to set up binds (or macros if you prefer) to feed green insps to your pets. Status was never a problem because my MO is "Defense amplifier to 50 then clarion" when I want to solve that particular problem. What can a /Cold MM solo? Well, anythng. I've not used one for 4/8 end game TFs, I just find those a slog solo, but GMs/AVs and the like, no problem. Oddly enough, mere moments ago I was putzing around in Mids considering making a Merc/FF. Once it was all done I noticed the resulting Mercs defense was so high I didn't need PB to soft-cap, which caused me to wonder if I should just make another Cold, since I had initially chosen FF for power boost. I've some figgerin' to do... Anyway, Cold = good for a MM. Very goodl.
  17. No offense to the author, but the FF Bible is now the FF Apocrypha, way out of date with respect to recent changes. I too ran a /FF Corruptor after the changes and I was very pleased. I also went Soul for PB and though yes, a Defender can also potentially boost shields the question then becomes "soft cap team with Corruptor offense or (potentially exceed) soft cap team with Defender offense?". I don't regret choosing the former.
  18. I like it, it's subtle for both effect and visually but effective. I use 2 level 53 HO Membranes.
  19. Like I said: "Eochai and Jack in Irons will now reward their badges on defeat regardless of how much damage the player does to them." https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_26_Page_2#Badges
  20. It won't show up if a) you're aligned red b) you have already attained it Whenever I see this issue raised, the answer is inevitably one of those two options.
  21. This is the day! I'm very much looking forward to this and hope to see you, the reader, at 8 pm EST (midnight UTC). I'll be hanging out by Arbiter Richard so just give a shout in broadcast to get scooped into a team.
  22. If you're going to +5 an IO for comparison it's only appropriate to similarly maximize the HO. A lvl 53 Acc/Dmg HO would give 38.33% enh to each attribute, compared to the +5d PVP's 33.1%. The marginal value of this is up each individual. In the absolute though, a maxxed HO > maxxed anything (non-purple) else (assuming enhanced like attributes).
  23. I'm no RPer, at all, but I need to have Selnum be my contact in PI. For cool factor, Magnum >>>>>>>>>>>>> Hawaii 50.
  24. The Missourian in me made me want to see for myself how the macro worked now. Well, I've been to Mizzou once in my life, so let me say the "empiricist in me" instead. I set my stop watch for 15 seconds and clicked like Hector Salamanca . From past experience I expected to see 10, 15, maybe even 20 fewer packs in my inventory but instead *drumroll* 4. 4 packs in 15 seconds. Yikes. This settles whether I'm opening my Winter Packs stash or not before selling (not opening).
