EmperorSteele
Hey, so, I dunno if this has already been reported, or if I'm doing something VERY wrong, but I was looking at a build with Kinetics (The Controller version specifically), and Mids seems to treat Siphon Power and Fulcrum Shifts' +dam bonuses as exponential (or something) instead of additive. For instance, it correctly states that one stack of Siphon Power adds +20% damage. But then if you pull the slider over to see two stacks, it reads 80%. A third stack reads 180%, and 4 stacks says 320% (For the record, it should be 20/40/60/80 respectively)! Fulcrum shift seems to operate under similar logic, maxing out at a ridiculous +2000% (yes, two thousand percent!) damage buff. It looks like there may be a decimal missing in the buff formula, since 10 stacks of FS should give +200% (well, more like 240 since it actually gives 2 separate buffs; +40% for the initial cast, then +20% per additional foe in range. Funny enough, the "Effects" tab seems to acknowledge the two buffs, but doesn't add them together in the totals, leaving the initial buff out). Also, there should probably be a second slider on FS, because it seems to think that a targeted foe is getting 10 stacks of debuff when one casting will give a character a buff for each foe in range, but it won't debuff each of them that badly, only -20% each, but that might be a bit much. In any case, keep up the good work, it's all appreciated, even if we run into a few bumps here and there! nicoliy
Question on accuracy displayed on powers in the GUI. If I assume I’m fighting +4 level enemies, what accuracy should I look to get to. Sometimes my powers are at 140% + and I’m not sure what that actually translates to. I’m guessing there is some room for me to not over slot accuracy And maybe fit in other enhancement values. Lockpick
I was trying to figure out an attack chain for my new Staff Fighting scrapper. I searched the threads and found a post by Werner that talked about using Mids - Windows - Power Graphs. What the hell?! I never knew this was there. Then while searching Mids I saw Windows - DPS Calculator (Beta). I selected all the power for my character and the result showed: Mercurial Blow --> Precise Strike --> Mercurial Blow --> Serpent's Reach Is that the best attack chain? Is it based on my slotting, IOs, set bonuses, incarnates, etc.? Does it take into account the Staff Fighting Perfection mechanic? If the answer to all the question is yes I am amazed! All these years I never knew about some of this functionality...

All these years I never knew about some of this functionality... I wrote the dps calculator and attack chain formulator ... a long time ago. It never 100% worked all the time, but was decent enough. What it tries to do automagically is pick your highest DPA attack and then fill in your next highest DPA attack, and so on until that final Highest DPA attack is recharged. It will calculate recharge of other attacks and so could do HighestDPA, secondDPA, thirdDPA, secondDPA, HighestDPA. I tried to get it to calculate Build up +damage mechanics, but I don't think I ever got the math correct. As far as perfection mechanics.... I don't thing so. Thinking Logically, for Staff Melee, best attack chain would be using Precise Strike, Serpent's Reach and Sky Splitter as those are your three highest DPA attacks, followed with Innocuous Strikes if you have the -Res proc in it, though its DPA is rather low. Mercurial Blow is rather much lower DPA than Precise Strike, but could be a good filler instead of precise strike if you put the AH proc in it. You can reliably assume Sky Splitter should be able to recharge in around 5 seconds, meaning for an average chain, you will want Precise Strike->Serpent's Reach->Sky Splitter. With perma hasten level recharge, you should be able to get that attack chain. 1 Happy Wife = Happy Life

Now, you are set to be attacking +4s. Target 95% or more final chance to hit at that setting, and you are golden. When I make builds using Soul Mastery as the Epic pool, I cannot reverse the choice and select another option and Soul Mastery is locked. Example: I have a Stalker where I selected Soul Mastery: Moonbeam and Shadow Meld. I was able to softcap, so didn't need Shadow Meld. I deselected Moonbeam and Shadow Meld, but cannot select another Epic pool.

How weird, I can confirm this, but I've also gone through and tested and this seems to specifically be the case only for Stalkers and Scrappers. DoctorDitko
Can anyone offer insight as to why Mid's Reborn would run V E R Y S L O W L Y under WINE on lInux? The same hardware actually runs the game slightly /faster/ under WINE. I'm not suggesting it's a priority for you, it's just so slow I can't really make use of it. MR is sufficiently useful to resort to booting into WIndows, abhorrent as that is to me, but if there's a fix on my end, I'll be glad to implement it. Does it maybe have a soft dependency that makes it resort to an emulation mode (the way some gfx programs fall back to CPU rendering when the GPU is not recognized)? Thanks again for all your hard work! Edited November 27, 2019 by DoctorDitko Disclaimer: Not a medical doctor. Do not take medical advice from Doctor Ditko. Also, not a physicist. Azuremirror
Also Force of will description in Unleash Potential has a note that it improves recharge, but the database does not apply a bonus. I'v not had the time or the build to research further the correct values to add to the DB or even if the wording is true. But your designer is a wonderful tool and it makes me so happy. Great job fellas! Edited December 4, 2019 by Azuremirror
Rumbleweed
Homecoming has a /buildsave command that saves your current build out to a text file. Have you looked into importing this into Mids? Just curious...

Grim Lynn
I managed to put together a build that had Hover moving at the fly speed cap. In game, the same build moves about half that speed. Anybody know why?

Bolt of Purity
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but is it possible to have the ability to +5 specific IOs rather than across the board? I generally don't +5 many IOs, just the Recharge in Hasten, specific IOs in a set, etc. I thought it would fit well in the right click submenu but whatever works 👍 Apologies if that is functionality that's already there and I've missed it, please let me know how to do it if it is 🙂 And thanks so much for all the hard work you've put in to the app, really appreciate your work! When selecting the IO, use the + and - keys to alter it. And, on that note: another error in the builder. It allows you to +5 ATOs, Winter sets, and Overwhelming Force which cannot be done in game.

Marshman
Force Feedback Proc doesn't calculate when turning it on in the planner. In old Pine's I could put the recharge proc in Foot Stomp and see my global recharge change as I toggled the proc on/off. It no longer does that. Any idea if there is a way to get that to work via database editor or is this a fix that's coming in a next release? In the meantime I've reverted back to a Pine's build that's working much better. hazygreys
I did my best searchfu but don't really see it mentioned other than on HC discord, but 2.6.0.7 seems to have about a 10% difference in res totals vs in game.
