That's you. Less than 5% of my characters take any fighting pool powers.

nonsense!

how, exactly, am I to reach 300% recharge, or stand in the fire!

everybody stands in the fire, so they all take fighting. everybody. I'm as certain as you are

Same goes for another's post about "soft cap defense" that "everyone" goes for.  No, not everyone. I have no characters at soft cap defense.

Just to make sure that my slightly irrational post was not misunderstood: I would never ask for everyone to get auto fighting pool.  Heck, I almost never take it.

I simply dream of more than one way to achieve crazy unstoppable characters.  Balancing act. Almost impossible I know, there will always be "one best" option.

Also: not having a crazy unstoppable character (AKA: the vast majority of my characters) is a perfectly acceptable way to play.

My wish: devs ignore the power creep wishes.  A second one: stop with the wish threads.  There's a suggestion section for that.

Actual game wish: (oh so many).. another area for my 50s to street sweep saving the day of regular citizens (ala north end of Peregrine Island; that's such a small area). I detest the all-dark DA, there's also no citizens to save. I like sunshine.  Yeah, I know I'm in the minority as one that likes to street sweep (there's no tunnels, caves, or Escher-style office layouts to deal with).  Add "Round up the usual suspects" repeatable mission type to the police officer standing outside ("arrest" x number of an enemy faction, a different one each time, keeping x somewhere from 10 to 20). (I guess that's a 2nd wish). That provides a street sweeping mission. Usually I hunt the badge-worthy bad guys, but once I have the badge then it feels less satisfying afterwards to hunt for Fake Nemesis for example.  Making Warhulks explode never gets old, though.

just gonna point out a bit of hypocrisy creepin into your post here. (I'm less judging and more fyi)

no need to begrudge a little forum fun while we wait the last couple days for some news to drop.

**Troo cannot actually grant wishes. I am a demon prankster not a genie.

***While someone may see a wish here there is no advertised or implied direct line to a dev

Well...when a genie comes out of the bottle and says you have three wishes, my third wish is always for three more wishes.

So, my first wish is for three wishes.

1. Three more wishes.
1. When a DoT like Sands of Mu misses, only some of the punches should miss, not all 8.

2. If I can "see" an npc that's stuck in a wall, I should be able to hit part of it, if not center mass. And if I can manage to travel from the back of a map to the front without getting stuck, the npc I'm escorting (thinking of you Amy Jonnson!) should also be able to do it. Let's fix these geographical issues.
3. Three more wishes.
1. Implement the naming policy.
2. GM fact sharing - a few months ago, I asked why it was that people seemed to think stealth impacted spawns in the msr. One GM chimed in that we shouldn't use stealth because it obscured their costumes, instead of taking a moment ( I do understand that it might take more than a moment. I get that their volunteers, and ultimately, it's not THAT big of a deal) to ascertain what the undeniable truth is so we can put an end to the ignorance, whether it by mine, or those with the opposing view. I want to know what the answer is.
3. the right to ask for 3 more wishes at a time convenient for me.

OK, thought of another wish last night when Phantom Army jumped the wrong boss... Again.

Even the tiniest scrap of the control MasterMinds have over their pets, for the rest of us. It's especially ironic that Controllers have almost no control over their pets!

Base it on the dumbed-down 3 icons mode, if you must but please give us a little Control!

Alternatively, maybe the Shades treatment from Darkness Control would be good?  Cast the Controller Pets on a specific Target, which they will focus on until it's down, AND THEN resort to aggro'ing everything in a 30km radius.

That's roughly what I have to do, except the only way to select a target is by proximity to the summoning point.

Sigh. Looks like I'll have to give Darkness Control a try!

(One more alt won't hurt. I can stop any time I want to...)

Yeah. I think it puts you into a recursive time loop or something, doesn't it?

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.

I'd wish that they would re-decide to do the buff to unstacked Rage that got tabled 'cause of too many complaints it wasn't OP enough.

Would make my flippin' day.

One wish: an accolade, pool power, or set bonus that grants actual broad protection against mez effects: mag 6, and at least stun/hold. Either that, or remove most mez protection from melee characters (except tanks.) Mez protection is the biggest imbalance in AT's that exists, making mobs with mez effects either trivial, or very difficult, with very little in between (yes, you can mitigate that with a regular expenditure of INF. That isn't a solution, it's a stopgap.)

At level 1, pick first or second power in your secondary.

And yes, I'm aware that would lead to some very bad choices such as skipping hide on a stalker.  This is a wish topic, not a suggestion. 😛

I just wish they’d give Sentinels a bit of a buff. Completely understand the initial caution, but think we know enough now to know they need a little extra something.

I love mine and probably consider Sentinels my AT, but they shouldn’t have to be so reliant on procs and so limited in terms of AoE. They shouldn’t be Blaster level damage, obviously, but right now it’s a massively unfair trade off.

Sentinels have to give up damage, range, AoE cap, and build-up for... *checks notes*... a little bit more survivability.

That’s a bad deal and they should be given some help.

I would love to see group fly fixed for MM pets.  In fact, I would love to have a completely separate group fly for pets that doesn't affect teammates at all.

I love seeing my gorgeous demon darlings flying in the air . . . I don't love to see them crashing to the ground because they can't keep up with me.  I'm not even talking about flying MM pet attacks, though that would be awesome!, I just want my pets to be able to keep up with me when I am flying in group fly mode.  Yes, it's a novelty thing without their ability to attack from the air (which I'm guessing we'll never get), but I wants my MM pets to fly with me.

Okay that wish has been poo-poo'd. I want my wish back!

I wish for Rifle to be an animation customisation - so we can have animations to make Energy Blast (for example) emit from a Rifle.

..It only takes one Beanbag fan saying that they JRANGER it for the devs to revert it.

Remove the distinction between weapon sets and non-weapon sets.

A big ask, and nothing I can see happening any time soon, but... making weapons a selectable 'prop' for all powersets would be great. Wands, staves, guns, bows, weapons of all kinds that could be selected as part of your power customisation, allowing you to turn any powerset into a 'weapon set' per se.

Imagine being able to pick Fire Blast and use a flamethrower as your character's means of setting enemies ablaze, or using a stun baton to pummel your foes with Electric Melee, or perhaps manipulating the cold of Ice Control with a magical wand.

On the opposite side of this, being able to use Assault Rifle powers from weapon systems mounted onto your character, or being able to finally use your Archery powers with a crossbow.

Of course, that would mean that a lot of existing powersets would likely be squished together to make way for such a change, which is why I imagine this as being something better for a complete overhaul of the game, or sequel if there ever was one.

Many would likely appreciate the game being live vs limbo.

Thinking more market pricing bug fix, base building tools, missing costume piece, new power set, npc power randomizer, vehicle travel powers, in game voice option, non weapon options for stone melee..

Honestly mine change from time to time but since I just mentioned this with someone:

Ranged Heavy Weapons (rockets, missiles, gatling gun)

I'm hear to listen to your wishes and hand out likes.

For me, it'd be full mastermind pet customization, (though I'd even just settle for being able to change their appearance - individually or on a per-tier basis).  Cheers!

I have and play both ATs, and I think Sents could be set to blaster damage modifiers, lose the range limitation, and add +2 to cap for AoE and still be ok. Since they have a quicker recharge on T9, it should be less affected mobs, so that one power can stay as is. Blasters still have an entire secondary set they can use to add to their damage as well, which Sents couldn't come close to in overall numbers. For a kind of trade-off, bake in Mez/Stun/Hold/KB protect into the blaster level 20 toggle. I doubt many leveling blasters would argue too much with that, and to me this is win-win territory.

If that's too much for Sents, I like my earlier idea of turning opportunity into a kind of Fury mechanic, so they can ramp up damage the faster they go and maintain. With the armors as secondary, they can also survive easier mob to mob, and it would make them a fast-paced fun ranged AT for folks who don't want to actually blap.

Posted

Make Sentinel's primary powerset more like the Dominator's assault set, so it has a mixture of melee and ranged abilities.  That way they could be a more 'jack of all trades' type. Ultimately It wouldn't be much different in function to a human only Peacebringer.
