There are a lot of family-and-friends of Live-days players around, including my own nephews and their mom, who weren't actually Live-days players themselves. They're mad keen on controllers, and we're currently duoing a stalker/troller duo from zero to fifty exclusivley teamed together and trying to stay as close to the same xp count as each other as possible (If I die, they groan bc I'm like 'Oops, I guess you gotta faceplant on purpose now!' - although we also sometimes do the 'run far away from teammate and defeat a few mobs to catch up' tactic for that as well). It's the fist MMO they've got into, WoW etc never appealed to them. In my safe bubble, it seems bizarre to me that anyone would play here that didn't play on live. I mean, we're a bunch of nostalgic old folks living out our younger selves fantasies on a controversial server that may or may not exist. Do we exist? Are we relevant? Am I alliance? Am I a lion? Also, any of the differences between F2P accounts and the subscriber reward stuff totally passed me by, so I don't know what was part of it and what wasn't. A couple of people on other servers complain about reward stuff being "just given to you" on HC and when I played it was all just there anyway. I unlocked Peacebringers, capes, auras all before, so for me it felt like picking up where I left off.
