The option to export a build to discord exists, you would need to invite the ever faithful MidsBot into your server first however. This was a fantastic idea for disconnecting PVE balance from PVP balance, but unfortunately Mids has no idea what to do with those tables yet. Even after we do fix that, we're going to have to modify every single power in the game to point at these new tables for their PVP effects, just like HC did. Firstly, thank you and the others for your great work in up-keeping mids. Is there currently any kind of date or time frame we can expect these PVP fixes for mids?

BitCook Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I think there might be an issue with Corruptor and Defender AT modifiers. I created a Elec/Time and Time/Elec to see the differences. However, across the board the defender has more damage, which is odd... First a direct compare of powers: I'm looking at Short Circuit as I have that slotted identical. I've taken out Vigilance so there's no +DMG for the inherent. I would expect the corrupter to be higher since they have a higher damage scale. So the defender is showing more damage, which all I can guess is that it's an AT scale issue. Here are the build links. As Bopper said, we have no ETA for that at that moment. To be more transparent, the team's in a bit of a limbo state between reworking Mids and planning/investing towards a successor tool. Metalios is kind of working on both simultaneously (changes being made in Mids that lead towards and/or make things easier for a future transition), so beyond information gathering (much of which is done on the Discord), we're in a bit of a "working hiatus". This is a fun one, yeah. The class AT modifiers are correct now, but Zed had made changes prior to that to make the numbers line up closer. On top of that the AT passives need a bit of work (across the board really, several of them are strangely implemented and screwy), and on top of that HC's power info is displaying incorrectly for Corr's Scourge. It isn't labeled as a conditional, so in-game tooltips show double damage all the time. That isn't an issue with Mids obviously, but it has skewed some bug reports while we doublecheck. In terms of database corrections, this one's higher up on the priority list. Johnny Dynamo Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I have installed both Wine and Homebrew (I think). I'm not able to see Winetricks because it's not secure and my Mac stops me from going there. Clicking Installer (Main) and Installer (Alt) get me a download .exe file, but I'm unable to run it. I was hoping one of the programs above would help. The URL is not found for the two links for the ZIP files. Can anyone share some simple step by step instructions on how to do this on a Mac? I must be overlooking something.
Jacke Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 I've discovered a bug in the latest Mids Reborn, 20.0515, Windows 10 1909. If "Load last build on startup" is disabled (Options > Configuration... > Options window > Updates & Paths tab > lower left uncheck "Load last build on startup"), then if an .mxd file is opened outside of the program (say via the File Explorer), the window that opens has the path to that file set (shows up in the title bar and in the save dialog) but doesn't load the file, leaving it at the default (Blaster Archery-Atomic Manipulation) with an empty build. 1 Remember! Sailboat Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 (edited) So is "/buildsave" working currently? It said "BuildSaved" when I ran it, but there's no build in the directory Mid's points to (I put that under Documents) *or* the place COH is loaded (C:\apps\homecoming). I just found out about it today and I would love to get it working. Whoops, I think I found it... there's a <username> directory OUTSIDE the hiomecoming folder for some reason, and that has a "builds" folder. But the Build.txt file doesn't load into Mid's with "open," am I doing something wrong? Edited June 10, 2020 by Sailboat

The Temporary Powers window, as far as I understand it, is actually hardcoded to display specific powers. That whole system is one of the messes we shake our heads at due to it being a somewhat hacky workaround to allow for heroes and villains to have different lists. Unfortunately, this means that to add the Blessing of Tielekku to the list, you'd have to edit the source code itself. That being said, if people want to give us a list of temp powers that can be regained through the Flashback system or other means, I'm sure we could apply them to that list. 7 hours ago, Lockpick said: By the way, I use this tool all the time. You know how you have 5 Presitige Sprints that you're probably not using? Let's take one of those and add an effect that will redirect to the Blessing of Tielekku power. This will override the Sprint effects, so just keep in mind that you will permanently turn ...let's go with "Prestige Power Rush"....into Blessing of Tielekku. First, go to Options -> Advanced -> Database Editor... This will open up the Database Editor. Select "Main Database Editor". This will open up the Power Database Browser. Under the Group panel, select Inherent. Under the Set panel, select Inherent. Under the Power panel, select prestige_Gamestop_Sprintp, which is the Prestige Power Rush power. Then select the button "Edit" on the bottom right (below the Power panel). From the Edit Power menu, select the Effects tab (at the top, third from the left). Optional: If you want to rename the power, you can do it here. In the Display Name, rename it to what you want (Blessing of Tielekku). It will show up next time you restart Mids You will see the following (except for the 100% PowerRedirect, which I added in already). Select "Add" to add a new Effect, which will become the new PowerRedirect effect. From the Edit Effect menu, set your Scale to 1.0, your Magnitude to 1.0, and your Probability to 1.0. Then select in the menu "PowerRedirect". You should now see "100% PowerRedirect". On the far right, there is an edit-box called "Override:". In that box, type in the following: Temporary_Powers.Temporary_Powers.Blessing_of_Tielekku Then click OK, and save everything. (Click OK in the Edit Effect menu, Click OK in the Edit Power menu, Click Save & Close in the Power Database Browser menu, Click Close in the Database Editor menu. Now you're done. Here is an example after all is said and done (BTW, I renamed Prestige Power Rush to Blessing of Tielekku, which you'll see). The 2.8% defense to all shows up. Some of the things you will see in MRB are left over (reverse engineered from the data files) from the project of old/live game. Terrify at that time I believe did add -ToHit under it's special effect. Also unless it has changed on HC the power also accepted ToHit Debuff IOs and sets. I usually have my nose deep in source to check things so I leave that to rest of my team as I continue to make improvements to the program itself.
