I have a bug with my Magic Mastermind Demons/Cold character in the 2.6.0.5 version (and earlier ones too it would seem). Every time I load the build, regardless of what I have slotted into these powers, Summon Demonlings (slotted at lvl 1) + Summon Demons (slotted at lvl 12) + Summon Demon Prince (slotted at lvl 26) always are unselected as power choices. I have had the build saved many many times, and each time, every one of those powers is unselected. It makes it a little rough to remember what I had slotted in the powers (6-slotted each of them btw).

 

I am including my data chunk, if it will help in reproducing the bug.

Thanks for all you do.

What was this build built in? Not loaded in but originally built in. This datachunk does show the issue, however if I recreate the build from scratch and save it, the enhancements and slots then show up every time I load it.

So, this just started happening, but when I was in the designer the pop up for what set bonuses are with each set isn't showing. Not sure what's going on, recently updated and it was working fine last night. I went through the settings, but couldn't find anything to fix this. I was hoping to do end reduction maxing on a Dom to know which sets to get but it's a real pain having to slot each set, and then lock the power I'm looking at to see what the bonuses are.

Make sure the button "popup" is selected on the top right above temp powers

I don't remember the build. I know it was an older one. I will try completely from scratch and see if it will work correctly. Thanks.

Force of Will will be available in 2.6.0.6 which I'm working tirelessly on in order to get it out to you guys. I don't have an exact ETA yet, hopefully in the next few days.

That would be the first time we've heard of this type of issue. .NET upgraded to 4.7.2? Also might check your cpu/ram usage.

ALL of the versions of the application have been molasses in January slow to respond to clicks, regardless of whether I'm running the app in Windows or OSX.

Saying "ALL" of the versions are molasses is a bit unfair in my opinion. There are tons of users that use the program without issue. With that being said I'm not saying the program isn't without it's shortcomings or bugs, many of which are being worked on in attempt to minimize this.

IF there is something you would like to see potentially done or added to MRB please follow the proper mediums and/or create a fork from the publicly available source and make changes then submit a PR so it can be reviewed/implemented.

Personal Note:  I do specifically recall you stating you were stuck using 2.6.0.1 due to a non .NET 2.0 port, there is a guide which was graciously drafted up by one of the homecoming GMs regarding MacOS. Feel free to follow it for using newer versions.

I actually downloaded the 2.6.0.5 for OSX build you posted and did a swap replace using it for the 2.6.0.1 version, just in case it worked (and it did) ... but going all the way back to my first downloads of Pine's back in May this app has NEVER been snappy to respond to clicks/changes.

Will the ETA be the same for Mac users? Would I just reinstall the program through terminal to get FoW update?

Both versions will be released at the same time.
Mac users should be able to just download the updated Mac w/Wine compatible ZipArchive and extract it to the same location overwriting the previous. 
*Some Mac users have had success using the auto update feature as well from within the program*

I've been using Pines and Mids since they were recreated for HC and I've never had a performance issue with any of the code branches.

 

Not to say they have all been problem free, but @crytilishas been very good about responding and making frequent updates.  It is a volunteer project for him, so let's be mindful any criticism is constructive and specific.   Having worked many times of these kinds of projects, I know that user complaints that are vague about performance are nearly impossible to correct.

Thanks for the great work. I do have a small request for you to consider. Can we allow the UI to scale as you extend the window as some of the text are a bit hard to read on a 32" 4K monitor  and the current font size increase only affect the info box.

I will see what I can do about the font sizes, the UI scale is a base design which extends from when Mids first began. The current application will not do for this purpose sadly. I do have plans in the works to work on a modern version of the application at some point.
