How old are we, as a playerbase?

Recommended Posts

I am old enough that an SG mate talking about playing with their parent on live and now having played CoX more than half their life warmed my cold heart

But it is impolite to ask a Vampire how old they are. Makes us think you might be sizing us up to see if you think you could kill us. Trust me, I am too old for you

Sort of a rite of passage no one wants to achieve.

Well, it *is* better than the alternative...

And with that milestone, I *should* have gotten my first one next year, but I've gotten them over the last 10 years for some reason...

Primarily on Everlasting. Squid afficionado. Former creator of Copypastas. General smartalec.

I tried to combine Circle and DE, but all I got were garden variety evil mages.

It's 10 pages!

Grumble, grumble, about old eyes and wanders off ... probably to forget what I was looking for when I spot ... Shiny!!

*wanders back in rubbing eyes*

Appears @Healix won with at least 7 ten year olds worth orbits about the sun

I’m probably younger than people think I am, but I’m definitely old enough to not read through a ten-page thread for someone else!

I’m at that cusp that when I tell kids to get off my lawn, I’m no longer doing it ironically.  I actually want them to get off my lawn.

I'm a spry 49 years of age.

I used to feel like that meant I was getting pretty long in the tooth but, after reading the rest of these replies, I'm feeling pretty good about it now.  So, thanks!  😁👍

Two birthdays from 60. 60! What the hell? Who is this guy in the mirror? Is that...my dad? Or my grandfather?

I know, right?  25 year old inside.  Probably still will be when I'm 100 and drooling.

Ive had people tell me its odd that someone my age plays video games.

I find it odd that some young folks think their video games sprung fully formed into existence. They had to have a historical foundation, and players to want it.  No connection to living history.  I was fascinated to talk to people who grew up before 1910 and get their understanding of how their generation adapted to emerging technologies. My great uncle was born in the 1890s and was still alive when I was visiting the first Apple store in his hometown. From horse & buggy with Queen Victoria alive to men on the moon and Apple Macs in homes.  Amazing.

I was 25 when the game launched... 42 now. Does playing CoX hasten the ageing process? Where has the time gone?

apparently, you were having fun.

And as you know, time flies when you're having fun.

I know what you mean. I was always the youngest in the family, the trouble-maker.

Now I'm living in the future, my hair's grey, and I'm starting to understand the attitude my grandfather had toward certain things.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it just means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.
